Wowie Wowie Marian McEvoy! I watched this video 3 times. One of the all time best decorators and beautiful homes. Her creativity is inspiring and I created a dried floral arrangement for my home while watching. Had to pause and rewind so I wouldn’t miss a second of this beautiful home. Bravo Marian!!!!

Marian McEvoy appears to be attracted to shapes before all else and she colours or trims them out to further accentuate their curvaceous forms regardless their 'designer status' or lack thereof.
Best of all, I LOVE how she's developed a intimate Friendship with her wonderful little house and each of the various objects inside : An Artist in Residence - LOVE it!

Marian is a woman after my own heart! I have a craft room too and while my husband is always a little sceptical of my projects in the end he comes around. He admits he doesn’t really see the potential in things. Now I am inspired to get out my glue gun!

I noticed in most of these shows that most people have similar decorating styles. There is a lot going on and sometimes it looks a bit cluttered to me.
Susanna please calm yourself. Listen to what Marian is saying and do please stop interrupting; it translates as sycophantic and belies your usual sophistication. I agree with Marian totally: fill your home with artefacts that you love and it will all work together. My style is less busy, but equally deliberate, and people frequently comment on how charming it is to be in a home that's so thoughtfully dressed and adorned. I firmly believe that this is not to my credit, but more that the adornments all have love attached to them and guests feel the cumulative effect of that. Thanks for this visit to Marian's jewel box!
