He was probably emotional that they made it down safely and he celebrated it by making the announcement.
He probably wanted to keep things right with corporate.
These pilots have done something wrong, but these pilots are also heroic, unlike any other pilot error accident.
That message at the end isn't comedy. It's relief that they made it down and was thanking them for being his brave passengers. And i'm sure they'd be thanking him for saving their lives. He was probably relieved he was alive with everyone else.
It was his way of celebrating the emergency, like a true pilot.
At the end everyone is wow! Yes, yes Perfect landing. Even the viewers.

The flight crew did an amazing job and should be commended by all. The pilot is one of the best I've seen under pressure.
The 747 SP was even better than the OG 747,hats off to the pilots and flying crew members..
I've flown a lot of 747 flights on China Airlines... I love those guys.....

Sometime in October a 747 landing at my local airport had an engine explode once it landed. Noone was injured apart from the engine. Poor engine :(

The tail with the rudder was disconnected from the plane with the small wings with the flap, causing it to plummet to the ocean, but the damaged 747 was pulled up later

I saw a Boeing 747 sp
They are rare. And now retired from passenger service. I know of SOFIA research plane. . Which I think is not flying any more. . She was retired from active service some years ago.

Also, the Ethiopian 737 Max accident is never going to get an episode since the accident was similar to the Lion Air 737 Max accident which was briefly shown in the episode on the Lion Air 737 Max accident and from what some people have said on the Air Crash Investigation subreddit as well.
