Few thoughts: * I wasn't a listener when we still had Ericsson, but I always referred to him as "Errorsen". * I wouldn't call what Petry engaged in during the Buffalo game as "a fight", but it took him off the ice for five minutes, and I think that made us better overall. * Edvinsson getting trusted in important situations is *exactly the point* of overcooking the prospects in GR. Perhaps this isn't the result we can expect to see from *all* our prospects who get overcooked in GR, but we're seeing now the fruits ripening, and I'm absolutely here for it. * The Arizona Coyotes video is what you get when you animate stock photos. Very cringey. I do wish them the best, and hope they get the land and stay in Arizona, so their fans too get to experience not having an awesome logo on their building's roof.
Ericsson scored the only goal in the Stanley cup final game 7 loss to Pittsburgh, other than that he was absolutely terrible, never should have tried to convert him to a defenseman. Holland only kept him around just to brag about how he was the last pick in the draft.
Yeah, its been an interesting season to the very end, unlike last year. Just so frustrating when it seems like the team should be one step further ahead in the rebuild
Both the Capitals and Penguins have failed to pass the Red Wings and earning any amount of points in the next 2-3 games is huge. Pittsburgh holds the tie breaker for now but if Detroit gets a regulation win then it'll be looking super good. Fingers crossed and down to the wire!!
In my mind Kasper projects as a Anthony Cirelli type. A 20 goal season total would be a totally acceptable outcome. . Marco probably will be a PK specialist as well as faceoffs in critical situations. 3C despite fans getting angry about that future.
@@socialmediag5485 I don't like the fact people are limiting his ceiling, most of them probably haven't even seen him play in person or watched many games. He just turned 20 years old today, no one knows how good he will be eventually in his prime 5+ years from now, he was a 8th overall pick for a reason.
Kane was the obvious choice for Masterson trophy 100%, very disappointed they he wasn't chosen, I really think he had a shot at winning it, who else in the NHL would you think deserved it more? Coming back from a surgery that no one has ever come back form to be a point per game player? Lyon got nominated just for being an average NHL goalie, 20-17-4 with a .908 save percentage isn't anything special.
When they talked about your best players needing to be out there in the most important situations, and if they aren't, you have a bad team. My immediate thought was Trevor Zegras. And looking at his statline, oof, he's been a ghost this season.
Take off the homer glasses and youll see a handful of David Perron giveaways/lost puck battles every single game. Let him go, sign a different Vet for that role.
Absolutely agree, I hear how important he is in the dressing room - fine sign him as Asst coach - but as the old saying goes - he can't where to where he needs to be anymore. No shame in it he has had a fantastic career with what he had as a player - but those days are in the rear view mirror.
I notice ill timed penalties that lead to a key power play goal against. Not counting the Ottawa suspension for trying to respond for the Larkin injury. Not on the “have to re-sign this guy” train. I
That "second longest playoff drought" line really pisses me off. Like sorry we made the playoffs 25 years straight and have had to recover a little bit. We wanted other teams to have the spotlight for a bit.
Real tired of the vets making costly mistakes. Perron and Czarnik, surely favored over younger players due the their "experience and defensive capabilities," make two dumb mistakes that cost us two valuable points, and a confidence boost against the best team in the NHL.
I don’t know how anyone can be surprised copp and compher arent 2c’s and overpaid ... we’d be better off getting rid of copp and Fabbri next season and adding kasper and a few other newbies
I find it literally hilarious that you guys were so upset about the losing streak (just like all of us) then just as I predicted everyone basically acts like it didn't happen and says like Lalonde says "we didn't even expect to be here". I definitely think what's happening is competitive. Not really fair for you to say it isn't just because we lost the cushion. That's actually a bogas perspective
Unless Jonatan Berggren is injured, why in God’s name is Austin Czarnik on the team. Czarnik makes too many blatant mistakes, like the giveaway against the Rangers. Also, the only way Czarnik could ever possibly score a goal is if a shot ricochets off his skate.
Raymond has earned himself a better contract than Seider IMO. Seider has been meh this year. His contract shouldnt be above 7.75. Raymond should be 8.25
@@whoknows7406 I don't believe that at all - - and I find it really, really hard to believe that anyone on this team is getting paid above Larkin. Certainly no one deserves it - and I am not at all the typical Larkin jock sniffer that you see on these boards.
Seider with 27 minutes and 10 blocked shots!!!!
Seider just continnuing to be a beast. Still crazy thinking back to his draft pick!

Ryan mentioning Jonathan Ericsson immediately gave me PTSD
lmao sorry
There was a time on march that I thought Ericsson was an upgrade on Petry
His nickname was Errorson at my house!
He gave me STD...

Brad wins this episode. That mouth breather blast was amazing.
This season is better than last year

It will be more painful if they don't make the playoffs

Brad playing both sides. "No team in their right mind would ever......unless...." lol
"Ryan! You okay? Larkin? DeBri-what? Dude Game one of the Finals is tonight, we're going to get Hossa his Cup!"
The Rocky Balboa defense LMAO
The caps lost in OT
Thank you, Sens 🫡
@@WingedWheelPodcast useless Senators did something right, still couldn't get it done in regulation though
This is nowhere near the level of the 97 brawl but I'm happy to see that the code still persists.

Compher at 5.1 million to be a 3rd line center isn't bad, their lack of a 2nd line center is the problem.
Love you guys. Think you go pretty easy on Lalonde tho
They def do.
Didn't Edvindon return from an injury shortly before he got called up?
Si

I wish so bad the Red Wings had a 5 vs 5 line brawl
Is Michael Brandsegg-Nygård the most Yzerman type draft eligible this year?
Gas leak year. I understood that reference.

You know what’s gonna happen right? Mathew’s hits 70 against the Wings on Saturday.

Neither are worth the contracts they got, Copp's in particular is a brutal deal, 100% remorse on that signing.
Playoffs? You guys are funny.
These upcomming matchups against the Caps and the Pens I'm going to have to watch in the hospital, in case I go into cardiac arrest. LGRW 🐙 🏒 🤘

You and similar emotional fans only disappointed yourself by moving your own goal posts. That's truly halarious imo

Because Czarnik is plugging Rasmussen's center spot and Berggren is a RW not a Center.
