I gotta tell you something amusing in response. Just over forty years ago, my oldest brother advised me of the opposite. He advised me that dating girls was better than playing video games. At the time, he had already been divorced once. Well, he eventually got divorced for a second time and, not long after he was married to his THIRD wife, his life was over. He lost his battle with cancer at 55. Well, I've already outlived him. I have my computer that has not only some of my favorite old Activision games installed on it, but also arcade classics, along with versions of Doom, Quake, and a couple of the Chessmaster programs. We all know how beneficial that last one can be for the mind and senses.
As a man, I owe society absolutely NOTHING. Especially not a child and an asset for them to continue to exploit. Society owes us for the taxes it had taken from us. I am a reflection of the society around me. If I am treated badly, I give the same in return. I have no obligation to "break the cycle". You get what you give me.
If I date a woman for $60, I'm not entitled to anything and won't get anything of value. If I spend $60 on a brand-new game, I'm entitled to play it as much as I want. Most likely will be enjoyable. Why waste money/time/life?

We're in the fast food consumptive era of relationships. Both men and vvomen are going into short term mating, which means looks is the only thing that truly matters, which is why dating apps has taken over the way people are meeting (about 90% of all relationships start online now). So any ability to provide anything outside of looks is pretty much not really looked for until the vvoman is well passed her fertility window.
