Final Fantasy XIV has way better music. The latest expansion has 66 songs on the soundtrack, ramping the total amount of music to 896 songs. Compared to WoW? 🤣 The Dawntrail soundtrack must have at least 6 hours on it.

other expansions like wrath and legion were very good but this expansion I feel like could be one of the most important for the game because it marks a return to form for many which was started with DF but not properly finished in the eyes of many players.
OMG So glad to hear the music getting talked about! I've been enjoying the login screen since the patch dropped and seeing the names of the tracks make so much sense. Xalatath's theme is so fucking brilliant and original in all its spooky greatness, and the way it lands on Alleria's theme so seamlessly? Boy, for how quickly the DF login music grew old this is such a big improvement and I'm all here for it.

This is going to be a bit of a stretch, but I’m willing to bet if you listen to the music, somewhere in there if you have a device to view the cymatic frequency of the music, you will find the Beledar form within one or many of those tracks. If you look at the image of the beledar from chronicle book 4 the top and bottom perspective looks like cymatic frequency, physical representation of sound waves. The light functions highly off of frequency and sounds, he’ll even the Naru themselves look like wind chimes. While it maybe a reach, I think if you could find the right cymatic frequency within these tracks, that could also give you another potential spoiler to some of the events to come. I’m still stuck that the beledar is a gate, and at the right frequency, you can blur the lines of reality and our perspective of it.

The issue with the class specific items, like tier from legion, is that they're not warbound. They're only soul bound. So you can't put them in the warbank.

You were a bit wrong about class specific appearances. It IS a big deal. Previously it was impossible to collect class sets that dropped directly without tokens. This includes sets from Molten Core, BWL, and Tomb of Sargeras. The pieces were souldbound and NOT able to "chuck into your warbank". You could do that with tier tokens, but not set pieces that dropped directly
Back in Legion, I used to tell my non-fiancee that I didn't trust Khadgar. Near the end of the expansion, I just didn't have a good feeling about him, and I started saying 'He's going to turn out to be a bad guy, just you wait.'
GAAAAH I love how "Xenoblade awful good church villains" the Hallowfall music sounds and I can't wait to go to war with the Seanchan-I mean Arathi Empire from across the sea! (Just as an aside, making Comparisons to my favoirte video games and books is absolutely supposed to be a compliment, and tropes are the pillars of genres!)

Totally agree about the music. About time someone says it. Music is very much a huge part in the experience of WoW... It's like Elder Scrolls or Lord of the Rings movies. 75% of the beauty is the music.
Tali, I know you call it the 'War Bank', but I prefer to call it the 'Band Bank', and not JUST because of alliteration. Mostly I just like imagining it as my band locker from back in high school... but I would really like bard specs for all classes inspired by Hearthstone, because it's hilarious and an easy way for all classes to gain an augmentation spec... and kinda the inspiration of WoW given the whole game is based on an all bard group AKA the 'Elite Tauren Chieftain'.
I literally NEVER have WoW music enabled, but after hearing that small clip, I think I need to re-enable it. I'm missing out on a huge immersion aspect of the game.
I'm not sold on the "Threads" naming convention, it feels more like it was just the right name and motif for a story about Nerubians, and considering how they pushed against the previous formats of these in Dragonflight by telling one story in 3 parts, I wouldn't be shocked if these animations were just less explicitly apart of a united series. But I like the progression of the Nerubian/Xalatath one we got, then one focused on the Arathi, then one about Khadgar and Dalaran. I would love to *also* get one about either the Earthen or the Haronir, since they're the other interesting allied race candidates who will hopefully be important this expansion, but their animations would get saved until they actually became relevant, like the Ashara Warbringer.
The music as always is a high point in WoW - I love that snippet of Hallowfall you played but the show was stolen by the snippet of VT where the NPC comes in and sits in mid-air above the bench!! xD

These QoL changes for Xmogs are nice, belated but nice. Can't wait for the day that Blizz finally also listens and makes legacy reps, warband reps so I don't have to grind the same rep a million times. While she gives a final warning that she can't take it anymore, void errupts out of her like an explosion, causing the magic that protects and keeps dalaran in the air to instantly disappear, along with void rifts opening. Leaving the city in ruïnes. And then we fight of the void entities.

As someone born a European Catholic, it rather reminded me of church hymns, which Xenoblade then adapted as well.

Threads of Destiny is obviously the first in a three-part series. Second has to be Blanket of Despair, followed by Quilt of Quagmire.
