I definitely hear ya my friend. My whole childhood was just me. Parents always divorced my whole life. Went to movies with Dad on weekends. Was always trying to keep jobs. But he was funny and happier back then. Mom was always gone working a lit if hours and saving for my future and a way to finally leave family and Indiana behind. So I was always alone, unless at friends keeping them outta trouble. I left home at 17 while home alone. I used to gamble and hustle in school back then. I got an apartment with a girl I didnt like for a chance to get out. Two days later, Mom calls and she moved to Arkansas. She left with 1 paycheck inher escort and 1 suitcase to see where she ended up. Long story short, she made a happier life far away, and we got along great. She died in my arms from cancer in 2014. I have a 26 yr old son that rarely get to see because hes always too far, too busy, always gonr. Dad has been older and hateful miserable for a long time now. My friends are only online. I'm disabled and dying from M.D. with no family on Moms side or Dad's side. Since 2014 after Mom it has been just me and my Dog. Dad visits most days to make sure were still alive and ok. Hes been cancer free for a while. Please, don't let your life get to where mine is my friend. Nobody actually wants to lose everyone and everything in life and die alone. This doesnt need to be your destiny. I wish you the best my friend. No matter the heartache ir struggle in life, smile. Always. Because its up to you to create this all new beautiful life so your son will one day do the same. Smile. Because YOU can do anything. That strength, and a string heart of gold is right there with you. Life from this day forward,...is what you make it.This is...your family. And...this is love. Keep smiling. Always.
I’m always happy I only want what’s best for my little family I have my wife daughter and me I work hard and plan so much so we can give our daughter what we never had
@@TheLateNightReactor Well, you are doing great. Really glad to know that. Much appreciated. Strange how even hearing old songs from one's perspective; with meaning to the lyrics and how it relates to the listener, and makes us feel, can so easily mean so much more. Many hear, yet never listen. Many watch, yet never see. And few of us live, while others leave. I assure you, nothing in life happens without reason or purpose. Its true, what doesn't kill us makes us stronger. And if we can share those moments and help others learn and progress in life, give chances they never knew possible, then we have taken all that bad and created good. We pay it forward, because we have the strength. Anything is possible. Something from Nothing. Turning our frowns, upside down. I for one am happy, because you helped me smile again. I commend your spirit. Keep inspiring my friend.
@@EdgewolfArt thank u man I lost my leg got cancer and lost my mom the same year but I knew things would work out and they did I learned to move forward that’s all you can really do
@@TheLateNightReactor Sorry to hear that. But that is exactly true. You are awesome, man. Sure. There is always difficult times. But its what we learn from those moments. We may fall, and seriously, I am physically disabled, so I do push myself way to far frequently, and yes I fall, run into things, and get cut off burnt, shocked, and hurt a lot, but here we are. You're still here sharing. And Im still here sharing. We must've done something right to survive this long. Just FYI, I am always drawn to emotional songs like this, because it reminds me of the past and where I began and went through, then watched so many do the same for many years, all kinds of moments like that. Sounds like torture, but it keeps me humble. Grateful to still be here. And grateful to help others. And meet people that share that pain like you. It's actually a good thing to me. I really respect you sharing.
I never had to deal with this sort of situation myself, so I can't possibly imagine the pain; that said, this is still among my favorite Papa Roach songs and definitely among the most powerful songs to come out in the early 2000s in terms of hard rock and heavy metal.
I grow up without a father so i feel this song so bad but I'm better now I'm 42 so please take care of your kids don't ruin their life!! Take good decisions please 🙏

Greetings from Germany
"I'll never put my baby through that bullshit" that makes you more of a man than he ever will be. You seem like a decent and smart guy with some of the stuff you'resaying. As you put it so kindly, fuck him!!! I went through similar, my father use to kick my ass quite badly. Fucked me up but I'm still here..just.
