I got to meet Papa Roach after a show in Dallas and Jacoby is one of the most down to earth people I’ve ever met. Had a solid 1 1/2 hour conversation with him, top notch guy.
This is my favorite song off the album. It's also really fun playing it on guitar, too. It brings back so many memories when I first heard it, and the message still rings true to this day.
With the flesh and the blood that you call your soul Flip it inside out, it's a big black hole Take your money, burn it up like an asteroid Possessions, they are never gonna fill the void That's deep...
I can’t speak for recent years, but several years ago I finally got to see them at a festival. Though they were not headlining, they put on the most amazing show I had the pleasure of experiencing. The energy was electric. The crowd control, the performance, the stage presence was on point and exceeded expectations. You should check out their song Help if you haven’t heard it. I was listening to it as I was exiting a dark period of my life and it helped me tremendously.
Nu metal: the subgenre of Metal that many say they hate but in fact everyone loves. "Dig" by Mudvayne is very trippy, both in its lyrics and its music video. "You've Seen the Butcher" by Deftones, "Hater" by Korn, "Rotoscope" by Spiritbox, "Manic" by Wage War and "Stupify" by Disturbed too.
@@theonlyone992 you don't get to make up your own genre. They were both pioneers in nu metal. If they want to act like little girls, then that's on them, but it is what it is
Great song! It's my favorite song off of that album. I know Last Resort is the more well known song. But I think this one is better. Another good one is "Tightrope". It's an extra hidden track after the last song. You should check it out when you have the chance.
Papa Roach, despite the gross imagery, r a fun, energetic hard rock band live and I highly recommend seeing them in concert 🤘🤘 Jacoby Shaddix (formerly 'Coby Dick' 😂) is a ball of passion & energy... Papa Roach is simple and effective w/ both rap/ hip hop influences and punk rock/ Hard rock delivery... They don't get enough credit for their music for sure! "She loves me not" by Papa Roach is 1 of my favorite songs by them; the music video is grimy, but no roaches (Thank God!)
A remember I was a teenager when this song came out and the first time I hear it, the criticism of the system in the lyrics made me question a lot of things,I was very angry with the system back then and this song became part of me,I listened to it every time I needed it,I am still angry with the system more than 15 years have passed and I still listen to it.
keep up the amazing work. more papa roach is definitely needed - infest, last resort, broken home, dead cell, blood brothers, born with nothing die with everything, getting away with murder, scars, to be loved, alive(n' out of control), forever, hollywood whore, i almost told you that i loved you, lifeline, burn, kick in the teeth, still swingin', where did the angels go, wish you never met me, give me back my life, leader of the broken hearts, face everything and rise, falling apart, gravity, crooked teeth, my medication, born for greatness, american dreams, help, none of the above, you're not the only one, who do you trust?, elevate, come around, kill the noise
Papa Roach is my favorite band, so heres some suggestions, 1 from each of their albums Thrown away/tightrope She loves me not Take me Forever Lifeline Kick in the teeth Not that beautiful Gravity Ricochet Better than life Ego trip
Wut u call repeat .... The guitar you hear along with the bass and Drums doing are doing a (round) Like singing row row row your boat with a delay merrily merrily merrily merrily Cheers 🍻
Love this song. First time seeing the weird video. Either way, the first Papa Roach album is amazing. Somehow I never kept up with any of their follow up albums...
U missed out... "Crooked teeth" (2017) by Papa Roach is one of their best albums (In my opinion) ... and they have always delivered quality records - 'Metamorphosis' (2009) had one of their biggest singles 'Lifeline'... "Getting away with murder" (2004) was such a great comeback... and 'Lovehatetragedy' (2002) is such an underrated album 🤘🔥
Please react to a band from my country Venezuela, they were one of the best Nu metal bands in my country during the nu metal era. They're called Candy66. Their song "Fe" (Faith) is really good and has meaningful lyrics. They sing in Spanish but also have some songs with English parts.
I'm pretty sure the roaches are meant to be metaphorical. The scream he utters when they come out of his mouth sounds, to me, like one of anguish and disgust.
Don't get me wrong It's a good regular song, not bad but... The video is a weak copy/past of an iconic masterpiece: Korn - somebody someone. React to it and you'll see what I'm talking about 😁 greetings from Portugal 🇵🇹

my favorite papa roach song of all time!

😮Dude!!! 😮
This is my favorite song off the album. It's also really fun playing it on guitar, too. It brings back so many memories when I first heard it, and the message still rings true to this day.
Papa Roach is still hype AF live To This Day!!!
Jacoby is basically a rapper that knows how to really sing and writes meaningful lyrics rather than bs filler
vocalist / singer that specializes in said genres.
This was quite a nice album... still living up to the name with great grooves, hooks and it's own style... golden years of nu metal
With the flesh and the blood that you call your soul
Flip it inside out, it's a big black hole
Take your money, burn it up like an asteroid
Possessions, they are never gonna fill the void
That's deep...
This would be the definition of nu-metal. This brings me back hearing this.
This song is banger! And.. This is how i met Papa Roach at their start. Legends!
This is one of the most honest reflection of society and its problems... my go-to for reflection...
My absolute favorite Papa Roach song ever, addictive song with deep lyrics!
Their first album is really great. They have great songs on later albums too, but this album is fantastic.
Second one is just as good imo. They fell off after that.

I think they hate what it became. It started with Deftones, Korn, tool, helmet and it ended up limp biscuit, hoobastank, default and so on.
@@920WASHBURNChino hates the nu-metal label and so does Chad from Mudvayne. They're both prog.

One of my favourite Papa Roach songs.. great lyrics, killer riffs!
I love the bass sound in this song. Really makes you feel the heavyness in the chorus. And the guitar parts is so good too.
this song resonated with me so much it changed me for the better and it's still with me.
This is Jocoby’s masterpiece. It’s the philosophers stone.
Best song they ever released.
So nostalgic but also a lot of truth to his words and that video is 20 some years old
The music genre calls Rapcore. Its one of many metal sub genres. Great band and your surprised face was hilarious!
Thanks for the reaction!!!

I never miss your smile👍👍
His name is pronounced with a short ‘a’ sound and a long ‘o’ sound - so like Jah-coe-bee.
“Jay-cah-bee” was a funny way of pronouncing it lol

Underrated gets overused these days, but Papa Roach are legitimately underrated.

Bad Omens - Artificial Suicide live Concrete Forever Las Vegas
Don't ever ever ever disrupt a tune on this level. You are hell not worthy simple
a song about abusive relationships, the fact that girls sometimes imagine too much, this is my personal opinion about this masterpiece.
Rachael we need to have a pun intervention

The last decent single by Papa Roach, then they went to bleh, and not a good bleh like a metal core bleh.
Absolute bullshit. Pretty much everything except 2 or 3 last albums was good
