Honestly, i really hope this odd little wooden car really is the precursor to a Layton Autobody Redbull Soapbox Derby race car.
Another Aussie channel (the skid factory) i watch did one for a race there that looked like a V8 engine. It was fun content building it quick, then watching it race.

Pinewood derby’s are the little Boy Scout cars they make as a bonding experience with an adult partner. The Soapbox Derby are the cars kids drive down a hill. Surely there is a safe off-road hill you all car get crazy on and invite all the usual suspects.

Tips for wood
1. Pre drill or pilot hole. Bolt slightly larger. Screw slightly smaller. Large nails smaller
2. Lubricate screw with bar of soap
3. Get out the tube steel and weld it. Is more your skill base.
I second the suggestion to predrill before driving the screws.

As a carpenter, no judgement, that build was awesome! I remember seeing one years ago with handlebars for a steering wheel.
Wow. Milwaukee is coming out with some really nice stuff. I'm already HEAVILY invested in DeWalt, but I might have to start my Milwaukee collection with the new long ratchet. That looks REALLY useful.
This morning Facebook showed me ads for the new Milwaukee Forge battery. Now Robby goes to Milwaukee. Coincidence I think not.
The funniest part of all of this is all the complicated expensive vehicles they have and this is almost as much fun for a fraction of the budget. I have been shouting at the screen “do it this way, do it that way” for the duration. kids are going to love it, and it is not a bad way to bring tools around the shop at the end of the day. Make it electric and get Milwaukee to sponsor the batteries.
As an O N C & H N C Master carpenter and joiner I'd say the team did good lol. You guys are great fun I am laughing my socks off here .
Building that 'truck' cart brought memories back of building rather sketchy 'go-carts' out of baby buggy wheels and 2X4 lumber pilfered from my grandpa's lumber stash. We had to scrounge for nails, usually bent and used, and straighten them before we could use them. Then find a hill steep enough for the cart to roll down on it's own. What fun summer days those were, so many years ago! This episode was a hoot!

That is the SHiTZ! A spoked wheel from TSC and a solid steering shaft, 2 hours of carpentry, and you will have a cool Metro. You will be the envy of the business park. Fab Rats will be so jealous. Demri's giggles add so much to the video and Hillbilly's carpentry skills came up a notch by the end.

When I was a kid me and my cousin built a wooden car we put bike tires on it with brakes and had a weed eater for a motor it lasted for a few years until my step dad got on it and wrecked it great video keep up the good work God bless from GA stay safe

We bought 6 Milwaukee Impacts for a large plant turnaround. They work amazingly. Also they have an app for anti theft. We bought 6 and 6 came back to the shop.
You two should never be left unsupervised!
I do love Milwaukee tools. All my cordless stuff is red and I won't be switching anytime soon. I have a few DeWalt corded tools gifted from my dad that are still running after 20 years of moderate homeowner use. I'll still buy whatever power tool gets the job done but Milwaukee is doing cool stuff. I could easily blow $10K with Milwaukee in an hour to replace some old tools, fill my box, and complete some electrical and plumbing solutions. They're doing a lot of work to provide solutions to various industries.

A good friend and I made vehicles like that as kids. He ended up as a Disney Ride Engineer. (Imagineer.)
At first they had issues but after we got older of course they were better. (Older being 10.)

Sure is nice to see Hillbilly Smiling & more opening up on talking. as for the tools, Ryobi Has way more different tools over Milwaukee along with choices of Batteries. However, there are a lot of Milwaukee tools that are tougher. Reason I stay with Ryobi is that Have from weed wacker to rotor along with a 3 & a 6 amp hr. batteries. Both brands in My opinion are the tops. As for the wooden Car, did You know most all buses are 1/2 way built with wood, floors & walls. At least You had lots of fun in the build of the Metro Van. Looks cool!
The flint mobile! Need solid rod for steering! When I was a kid my older brother built a go cart out of wood and it had a motor on it too! Ran great and steered good too!

You should drill pilot holes to keep that wood from splitting when you screw in the screws. You can also use the plywood to square the frame as you screw it on.
That’s great. I am starting to see where Robby gets his crazy build ideas.

I am very envious of Robby today. I would love to have been at that show and seen more of these new tools Milwaulkee really are innovative and clever at creating new solutions.
