Love it! Your last episode i was thinking in my head thats a large empty space for some potential! Glad someone else was thinking the same. He crushed the mural.
We've been using stainless bolts and nuts, too. That way you don't have to replace the bolts when you replace the mud flaps, makes it easier to take apart, too.
We've been running dump trucks for almost 30 years. The mud flaps are sandwiched between steel plates one of which is fastened to the truck or trailer and the other is bolted through the mud flap. Don't need fender washers. Mud flaps are a consumable, they wear out, get cut, get ripped off, but usually don' t need to be replaced as often as the tires. Because they are exposed to the elements, get coated with mud, etc; zinc plated bolts & nuts rust and usually break when you need to remove them. When we went to stainless fasteners we found the extra cost was saved because we could reuse them and there was less time involved in replacing the mud flap.
Much respect on being a dad! Right before my son was born a friend said, " You have friends childern you love, niece's, nephew's etc. you love, but your heart is going to walk outside your body with this child." Nothing I have been told is more true. If your child hurts physically or mentally it hits you right in the heart. Going to the Barbi movie with your daughter just let's me know even more about your character. Before you know it Robbie you will be looking at a college student. Take your time and enjoy every minute. The memories are forever! Great video as per usual. Keep'em coming!
Other than the headache rack is looks great! I’d also take the opportunity to put the custom springs on it, it may be sitting ok now but with what he tows and that only being a 250, air bags or not, it be incredibly beneficial to upgrade.
@@BIGTRUCK7.3 true, but in my experience it doesn’t really cost any more to get custom ones made you end up with something tailor made. To be honest with how that truck is likely going to be used I’d of seriously considered doing a dually conversion. (Or trading it in on an F450. 😇)
You, Demri, "Hillbilly" and all your team are outstanding people! ... I'm so very grateful for your RUclips channel. It greatly helped me through my injury recovery... long story short, BIG thanks for all the entertainment! Much love from Aylmer Québec!
24:37 You just need an LED flasher relay. It has one from 2016, but just meant for the OEM lights with no adjustment. Resistor adds power usage, damages alternators/FBR. An off the shelf flasher relay with an adjustment trim pot on it is a better fix as it doesn't put strain on your harness. Adjust a screw to increase/decrease flash speed. 10$ on eBay. That relay didn't wanna cut on, created impedance & blew the fuse. New fuse may blow too. Putting that "all the time" strain from resistors on your harness will damage the alternators full bridge rectifier (FBR) prematurely. & Matt has enough things damaging his alternators. (Winch) I put that adjustable relay in my 05 Toyota 6 years ago and it works great.
These fords dont have fasher relays the chassis module's control the flashers on these trucks, a dealer or shop can plug into them and change the setting to allow LEDs without doing any load equalizers
Cody is such a great guy to have on camera working with you Robby and Hillbilly, you need to have him doing more RUclips! And let me say that Blue Steel looks just awesome!
Sunday as a viewer I was rewarded to see you in the booth where you were spraying Blue Steel. Plus it was so interesting to see the repair of the rear door covered in scratches and swirl marks. Both doors matched perfectly and the shine was unreal! Everything looked new when the matching bed was installed! Perfection and so much content in one show! Loved it!! But… cliffhanger surprise a must see so I’ll catch you next time!
Awesome job! If I was to offer my two cents (which means nothing) the only thing letting it down is the headache rack, you really should have taken the opportunity to come up with something cool, maybe even seen if Flog wanted to make something matching that front bumper. To me it just looks goofy. 🤷♂️ That mural is killer!
Being a detailer for the last 10+ years and trying out so all sorts of buffers and polishers. Once I got the rupes it was a game changer !! You've really gotta appreciate the rupes bigfoot. Its such a fantastic machine. Its insanely versatile and extremely easy to use. An for the amount of things it does so well it's fairly cheap yet lasts forever. 💯💪
I bet people would love to see some collaboration with the muralist and Robbie! I see some really cool paint jobs in the future! If you can make that happen!!!
Did awesome job definitely! sadly the headache rack bothers the crap out of me and should of been fixed before all that powder coating but its not mine so as long as matt likes it that is what matters.
I'm a matt's offroad recovery fan, this project is actually what brought me to this channel and I think you got yourselves a fan out of it. Being a fan of matt's I'm guessing/ hoping for him and his crews sake it's a slip tank to put on that snazzy new flatbed. Great job on Blue steel!
If you are looking for different artists to paint: you have to include, Myron Starr from SC, AZ. Amazing artist and he does amazing work through out Arizona.🎉
Glad to see you prioritizing family and going to the movie. Let your helpers take over, check their work, take care of what's most important to you! Also jealous of the shop you have and that you can bring your kids in to see what daddy does for work. Keep up the awesome work! - dad of 4&2yo boys with a girl on the way
Just something about great people working hard on a project for great people :) Loved watching you guys work on this and it feels good knowing who it is for as well. Great job guys!
Just an idea. All our Roustabout trucks got bed liner sprayed on the top of the beds. Helps alot with grip. Because climibing up there during the rain, snow or ice will always end in some painful memories.
Blue steel came out amazing but we all know if Robbie does it, it will always come out amazing. You all work so well together. Little boss has put her foot down 15 mins we have to go lol. She's so darn cute. Avalon kings 👏 👏 for the special and donation. Love uour products. You have to hold off on the specials i cant control myself from buying when its on sale. Have 8 kits of ceramic coating now 8 of the ceramic light. I've done all 4 of my kids vehicle, my 3 vehicles and my wife's with it. Also did my boat. Brian WONDERFUL job on the painting. Looks 👍
Yeah man 100%. The work they did looks fantastic but the overall look of the truck ain’t there yet. Definitely needs girthed up with either duals or bigger tires/lift
Robby you guys did a great job on Blue Steele Matt is definitely going to love it when he sees it. I am looking forward to your next video to see the surprise.
All the weight of new bed, heavy trailers & loads.... Im supprised Matt hasn't swapped the rear axle out for a dually. The added ability & stability for towing heavy is amazing.
Matt's truck looks so good, he's probably not going to use it for anything, just so he can admire it in its beauty! The mural is sweet, the man can paint graffiti on my walls any time he wants to! Til next time, take care, and we'll see you on the next...
having done a set of lights similar on a CJ-7 (we did the round ones but still had the grommet like that to retain the assy) a little bit of WD-40 on the grommet makes it easier to install the light so you arent having to beat yourself up trying to seat the assembly into place, blue steel looks amazing, i've honestly never seen a color matched flatbed before, and its a sweet look
Blue steel looks great Robby, awesome job, can not wait to see Matt reactions to his new truck and suprises you have for him. Thanks for the ride along on this amazing journey. David B.,Utah. 💯💯❤❤❤.
You and your guys do amazing work 👏 that truck looks brand new. My wife just hit a deer with our car. I wish you where close enough for us to use your shop. Keep up the great work 👍
Hey Robby, ive seen a lot of good body shop work, painting, dent pulling, glazing, buffing, polishing, etc. But dude ive honestly got to say that you do the best work ive ever seen. Theirs no evidence to distinguish your work from a factory truck. Its an absolute joy to watch the pride you take in your work. You go the extra 5000 miles for that little spot of detail, that ordinarily, nobody else would notice, so to speak. And THAT my friend, is the difference between a body shop, and a "Body Shop." Awesome job bro.

Love it! Your last episode i was thinking in my head thats a large empty space for some potential! Glad someone else was thinking the same. He crushed the mural.
Question. Why not do all the paint at once ?
I am a disable veteran, i have a pickup i would love to get it fixed, engine and trans need rebuilt. I will pay , it will take me awhile.
Does it also work against Grey Poupon sticking?
That ending was just plain mean!
I've never seen a color matched flat bed before! Can't believe how awesome it looks!
It sure does look awesome, and the amazing part is its color matched powder coat!!! 😮
They got lucky with the powder coating supplier having a very close color.
But it does look good
Western hauler beds are color matched in general
I didn't think it would look right but it actually looks awesome!!
They really need to take pictures before Matt gets it all dirty.
You should put the Golden Nugget on your wall. It was another iconic build you guys did! The mural is sweet and art. I like art!
Great Idea!
ABSOLUTELY!
Watching Adlee work on her car behind her dad working................the best! Thank you Robby!
On the mudflaps I would use an aluminum strip under the washers. Rubber tends to ripple between the washers if you don't.
Good idea
I did this on Peterbilts, can confirm he is 100% right. We had stainless steel strips, cause its Peterbilt lol.
We've been using stainless bolts and nuts, too. That way you don't have to replace the bolts when you replace the mud flaps, makes it easier to take apart, too.
Fender washer work good aswell

Blue Steel looks fantastic. Matt should be very happy.
Cody's remark about the box being waterproof until the seal is destroyed was pretty funny.
Blue Steel looks fantastic. You do great work. And you find the right people to do the things that you don't do. Good to see Cody get some face time.
Much respect on being a dad! I agree. 😬
It*
Just putting some F-350 springs on it would have made a difference

Superduty airlift bags are cheap and easy to install. Well worth it.
I have PTSD along with epilepsy... That shaker explains how my head feels every day. 😂
That mural is sweet!!
It’s nice to see Cody in a video again, haven’t seen much of him lately and hoped he was still around
Great to see Blue steel fixed. Great job as usual. Also that mural looks awesome.guy is a very talented artist

😮 all shiny with chrome, very nice indeed. Have a great week and count your blessings amen.
Props to Avalon king!!!
So Matt can tear it up again 😎😂🍻
Hello all from Siesta Key Florida
Being a detailer for the last 10+ years and trying out so all sorts of buffers and polishers. Once I got the rupes it was a game changer !! You've really gotta appreciate the rupes bigfoot. Its such a fantastic machine. Its insanely versatile and extremely easy to use. An for the amount of things it does so well it's fairly cheap yet lasts forever. 💯💪
I'd say the surprise for Matt is the old truck bed of Blue Steel made into something else, like a couch or table.
Blue Steel looks great 👍 👌 Good to see Cody again
Blue Steel looks amazing! Nice work, guys!
That powder coat color is insane! Beautiful
Robby, it's so awesome the way you explain everything in detail, love it ALOHA
Wow, the mural rocks! The truck and bed, awesome.
drill baby drill, spare tire hole!
I bet people would love to see some collaboration with the muralist and Robbie! I see some really cool paint jobs in the future! If you can make that happen!!!
I had a customer who had a mural painted on one interior end wall which featured him leaning on a railing, watching the workers.
Did awesome job definitely! sadly the headache rack bothers the crap out of me and should of been fixed before all that powder coating but its not mine so as long as matt likes it that is what matters.
That mural is amazing! I wish I had talent like that, I tend ruin everything I touch with spray paint.
This was my favorite series so far! Little bit of everything you guys do. Well done!
Muralize all of your walls with all of the iconic builds you've done. And get bill to do it all for you. That'd be ace.
Top notch quality work as always, though I do agree with everyone that the flatbed seams too wide and tall with the headache rack.
Cool mural !!! ... Very skilled and gifted artist indeed!!! :)
Next Mural needs to be the Golden Nugget ❤❤❤ , that one is incredible 🎉🎉
Blue Steel is ...... *_SWEEEEEEETT !_*
Not the hugest fan of the aesthetics of the flat bed but the refurb you guys did on this truck is amazing. It literally is like new.
The craftsmanship is off the charts!!!
Love the mural and especially the choice of vehicle.
What a great job on the mural. You have a great talent.
Mural looks great
That is so great that your sponsor is giving back to the community.
Blue Steel looks fantastic what an awesome job you and your team did, and Kevin on the powder coating and color match.
If you are looking for different artists to paint: you have to include, Myron Starr from SC, AZ. Amazing artist and he does amazing work through out Arizona.🎉
Great looking mural. Very cool.
“Without your team, I’d be nothing.” True, but you are an exceptional boss and business entrepreneur as well. The boss gets it too.
31:48 The shape of the blur and the way it's strapped down - I'm calling it - it's a ROKON!
I noticed the mural in the video of the power wheels upgrade.
Glad to see you prioritizing family and going to the movie. Let your helpers take over, check their work, take care of what's most important to you!
Also jealous of the shop you have and that you can bring your kids in to see what daddy does for work. Keep up the awesome work!

What a transformation. Blue steel looks incredible. Nice work.
Just something about great people working hard on a project for great people :) Loved watching you guys work on this and it feels good knowing who it is for as well. Great job guys!
Fun watching you install the taillights. I’m glad I’m not the only one that has to talk to the lights as I am “expertly” installing them!
YAY!🎉well; can't wait to see Matt's reaction guys awesome job 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
Have fun, you will enjoy the movie. You daughter will be perplexed, confused, slightly disturbed and definitely have questions.
Your mural is beautiful
Hello from Brisbane , Australia
Wall looks very very good. Love it
That mural is pretty BA, love it!
I have purchased the Avalon king double pack. It is a great product. I love it, and I think that mural is fantastic.!

So when are you putting the duallys on her
thanks for taking us along Robby!
This is the stuff i like, keep em coming.
Love that Mural!!!! I got my Robby Layton shirt on today!😂
Just an idea. All our Roustabout trucks got bed liner sprayed on the top of the beds. Helps alot with grip. Because climibing up there during the rain, snow or ice will always end in some painful memories.
It turned out great I really like the color match. But that headache rack needs to be rebuilt. It really takes away from the rest of the truck.
It was awesome to see the boss reflection in the door as she was filming.
Great job all. Matt and more so Hefe will love it.
Blue steel came out amazing but we all know if Robbie does it, it will always come out amazing. You all work so well together. Little boss has put her foot down 15 mins we have to go lol. Lucille - I mean Blue Steel looks great!!! Can't wait for Matt's surprise.
Will we ever see the end of "blue steel" videos. One half hour more of this truck is just to loooong to hold my attention!
definitely needs some wider wheels or better offset to fill in that wide bed. paint color and match look awesome
Maybe even Duals
Couldn't agree more.
I think Matt wants to put bigger wheels on, they will likely also be wider.
Yeah man 100%. The work they did looks fantastic but the overall look of the truck ain’t there yet. Definitely needs girthed up with either duals or bigger tires/lift
GOOD JOB!
Robby you guys did a great job on Blue Steele Matt is definitely going to love it when he sees it. I am looking forward to your next video to see the surprise.
Super awesome job on Matt's truck and flatbed!!!! That truck looks amazing!! So........ what's the surprise??!! Dang... have to wait until next time!!
All the weight of new bed, heavy trailers & loads.... Im supprised Matt hasn't swapped the rear axle out for a dually. The added ability & stability for towing heavy is amazing.

Robby has been very educative lately, and he is very good. You should consider making tutorials.
Bluesteel!!! Finally done!!! Sweet!
You and your guys do amazing work 👏 that truck looks brand new. My wife just hit a deer with our car. I wish you where close enough for us to use your shop. Keep up the great work 👍
I am liking the Bling ! Thanks for sharing !
Great job on Blue Steel. And Roy's pizza is the best. Awesome that Avalon King treated the crew.
One of my Favorite Channels!
Can’t wait to see this thing towing the wrecker.
