I’m patiently waiting for my rods from the “company that builds high-end rods,” which does, in fact, take months to get in the hand. 🙃😅

Thanks for the review. I would have liked to see a review on the Edge Rods. But, I understand about waiting months for a rod. I have been waiting months on 2 Edge Rods

I honestly would love to get my hands on their stuff too. I just don’t plan nearly far enough ahead of time to get ahold of it.

Lamiglass makes awesome surf rods, have not been impressed with any of their other lineups. I like Swate especially their hobo trout rod but all my swate rods ive had to warrant for guides breaking. G Loomis (aka Shimano) is nice but price wise it rides on a name of someone not even associated with the company anymore lol. Im curious about stryker and edge but hard to get and hard to find people with them. Okuma GSP or X series it is for me. SST is a great second rod or drift rod to beat on.

I just bought the ohkuma sst 9 ft.. Glad i caught your review I've been jonesing 😉 to take it out.. Never had a heavy action rod 15 to 50 pnd. 1 to 6 onz.
I've also got a lama glass ii 10 foot 6 I've had a few years..i got the heavy action ohkuma for the south fork in the no tellum hole section cause if you can't get them in quick they gone and a just married it up to the cast king megladon. Oversized bait caster. Seen good reviews on it...i have oh Kuma could waters on other rods.
The rod I've had for over thirty years and has caught 100 Clearwater steelies cause i was young and couldn't afford much is a ugly stick inter coastal.. and my very first rod dad have me over forty five years ago still fishing with a finwick which i think is worth five times more now than what my dad paid for it.. The Grand kids still using it.. Good stuff man.. But high sticking not good.. And alls it takes is one good scratch on a rod snap...ive had new high dollar rods snap first trip.. Think there factory flawed.. Tight lines my friend...

Thanks for the review. Have you thought about doing a reel and line review with your set ups?

I've looked at the Swate rods/reels at N40, but they seem really cheaply built for their price. And being a house brand, I'd like to see them come in a fair bit cheaper. Other makes seem to offer a better value.

Agreed. Their bait cast versions I love for trolling, but the spinning rods could use a revamp
