About to watch this video and you can tell by the title it’s gonna be a “banger”! I appreciate that Clayton doesn’t put stupid clickbait titles on his videos and I appreciate that he puts our family friendly content.
Dude...I know I've said this many times over the years, but you are awesome! Your videos are awesome! It's not only because you catch trophy fish, but the content, hanging out feel, videography, editing, information and expertise on the equipment and gear, use of electronics (video, audio and fishing electronics). It's just a joy to watch your videos. And just when I think you can't add more to the videos, you throw in a little fireworks show? You maniac! 😂
You and Jay have done a very great service to the fishing community in getting the message out on proper handling of your prized catches. CONGRATS to Both of you.!
Could you make a video showing some contoured lake maps and walk us through the process you use to find fish or find decent spots to setup your shack? I know you have made videos describing where you go to fish theoretically, but walking us through your process from boat ramp to shack setup on top of these spots utilizing GPS and mapping would be incredibly helpful. I just pieced together my livescope shuttle and finally having access to accurate GPS and maps is overwhelming!
That was great Clayton, I was hoping in my chair when you where fighting the biggest one! The excitement is better that any TV show out there! Keep up the great content!
Thank you for always giving tips on how to take care of the fish we catch. In all honesty, I did not grow up that way.. but I am learning from you and Jay how to take better care of them... responsible fishin 🤘🎣😊
Good ending! I like how you broke it up with some questions and answers part way through rather than one exhaustive video of only questions. That was some fine fishing. Kudos on your skills!
I always geek out when you catch a big one... I'm in my living room going CRAZY seeing you pull these fish through the hole!!! Love the content, you make the most wholesome fishing videos 💛
Enjoy your videos. I hope to apply some of your techniques here in Wyoming. I appreciate how carefully you handle fish and get them back in the water quickly. Great job! 👍
Clayton, you nearly gave me a heart attack when you were going to throw the brisket down the hole...lol. Thankfully, it was all just a joke. Oh and what a day of Lake Trout Fishing, some absolute Tanks and quality Lake Trout mixed in! Way to go Clayton!
Clayton you hit the nail on the head about keeping fish out of water too long. Too meny folks don't drill live wells on the ice leave the fish put freez eyes keep preaching the good fish handling skills
Im SUPER appreciate for all the lake trout videos this year. I’ve been using them as motivation/education to try and catch my first laker this year, and today it finally happened!!! 33” and very healthy. Ate a herring on my deadstick right on the bottom just like you were saying. Stay gravy!
Clayton, uda man! What a slay-day! Thanks for taking us along. Those were all respectable fish but the last one was just a tank! “I can’t lie”, I got nervous for you when you switched hands to land it and then it went back down. Thankfully, you handled it like a pro!!! Great video...just like being there with you. Keep up the great work!
I still remember the fish going back down, and all I could think was I was going to lose it and then be mad at myself for making such a horrible mistake.
Fantastic Video! Just a 44.25! 😂 Laker King!!! Keep it up Clayton your Laker videos are the absolute best Laker videos out there. Nice to know you have rough days as well the day before. Help me get out of my Kickerfish funk. Amazing what tournament fishing can do to a guy. Roller coaster of emotions.
Exercise enough to get your heart rate up. Then, keep your head under water for as long as you can. This is what a large fish feels like when pulled out of the water.
Hundreds of lakers but still looking for a 40, you make it look so easy but im in Wi lake superior. They are here but 2 years now didnt get out , no ice.
Thanks got to watch it once everyone was in bed amazing video and some absolute gaints. My pb was a 42.5 caught I'm 43 feet of water in Southern Ontario. Hope the next video you have a chance at your pb Good luck
Old grandpa lips! lol I love it when you get nervous, you just know it’s gonna be a huge fish! I had a slow, cold and windy, day on the ice, it was fun to come home to this! You have not said your ‘relax’ word in a while. What it’s it, chakia, or takia maybe?? Awesome video!! Happy for you!
Great video! Glad I'm not the only one that sits on a spot all day and gets excited when ANY mark appears. But around here, if you're fussing with the "little'rs" you'll seldom catch a "good'r". Of course he's Clayton Schick and I stole those terms. 😂
Awesome video! Appreciate you preaching fish handling. Unfortunately people here in MN who film for RUclips don’t have much ethics. Have saw quite a few videos of trophy fish getting their eyes frozen because they need a perfect shot for RUclips.
I know your canada, but the lakers are lakers cept the siscowets, you fish so shallow even in thunder bay we fished 150, in Wi on Superior i never fish shallower most over 200 ft. Would be so great if one of you laker fishers could come on a good ice year and make some content. I cant catch them shallow in many years, if its under 125 ft its just a bonus fish.😊
Hey Clayton! I love your videos, thank you for the great content! We also have the Eskimo Outbreak 450. Wondering why you don’t use the poles on either side of the door on your Eskimo?
Appreciate you watching! I just feel like you don't need the poles at all, they make it more sturdy yes, but I find it's not something you HAVE to use.
Do you ever run tip ups for lakers? I’m used to pike fishing where I spread out as many tip ups as I can, but I wasn’t sure if tip ups work well for lakers, or perhaps an iFish pro/ finicky fooler
Can you explain sometime how you rig the dragon slayer? I saw on this one what jig head you use, thanks! that part is awesome. But when you run the hook through it, is it flat tail to top an bottom, or flat tail side to side?
You had a swivel in the last video using spoons. Do you ever use a swivel when using the big tubes for lakers? I get a ton of line twist jigging the big tubes
How do you keep your baits from getting crazy line twist without a swivel? I know you guys who chase the big ones don’t use them. But if I don’t use one with tubes or spoons, my bait will look like the Gravatron when I pull it out of the water
Wow, that was a slam fest, Clay! Loved sharing the moment where you almost broke your pb... what a he'll of a fish ! We've struggled the last couple of days for lakers. Love the one liners " risk it for the brisket" and " wanna come see dentist clayton to get that hook out of your mouth" 😂😂😂
It was so nice to hear of you having a bad day the day before lol, not many people that fish for a living would be willing to share that but it was relatable and comforting - I caught nothing my last time out for lakers. Also, where did you get that table in your tent??
I also tie braid too my leader with a FG knot, but do you worry or have any line twist ? I don't like to have a swivel but I've noticed some line twist.
I know you already answered a question about how to find fish, but question is when did hou know when it was time to move with just the traditional flasher not having LS? What mindset do you yourself in to stay in the game?
Really the flasher wouldn't change anything for me. Like I said in the video, I am more likely to move quicker if I am fishing a new spot.. BUT doesn't mean I would rule that spot out yet. I am more willing to put time in at a spot I have confidence in. Also if I am seeing bait come around I am more likely to stick around longer as well.
About to watch this video and you can tell by the title it’s gonna be a “banger”! I appreciate that Clayton doesn’t put stupid clickbait titles on his videos and I appreciate that he puts our family friendly content.
AND I appreciate you watching! :)
Such an underrated RUclipsr. Best ice fishing content on the internet 🙌🙌
Can't get anything done this morning, Bassmaster early, Jay puts out a video then Clay throws down. Its a good day!
YES!

You and Jay have done a very great service to the fishing community in getting the message out on proper handling of your prized catches. CONGRATS to Both of you.!
Thank you! Going to keep pushing the handling for sure!
It’s awesome you gave us almost an hour of fishing! That’s better than any show on TV
Man. Can’t ever get them to eat it in the dirt! Great hook set bud!

You are so welcome!
awesome day on the ice
Love the teaching of taking care of your fish. Its always good to know you are recycling smiles as Joe Holland says.
My kids and I love watching you and your fishing adventures. We're stuck inside because we have a major snowstorm today.
We got a pile of snow as well!
Good ending! I like how you broke it up with some questions and answers part way through rather than one exhaustive video of only questions. That was some fine fishing. Kudos on your skills!
Great video Clayton, love the underwater footage. I love watching all your videos. Thank you for sharing your hard work.

Great video, Clayton! As always! Congrats on another giant fish as well. Maybe not a PB but no one will be complaining about a fish like that! 🙌
Im SUPER appreciate for all the lake trout videos this year. I’ve been using them as motivation/education to try and catch my first laker this year, and today it finally happened!!! 33” and very healthy. Ate a herring on my deadstick right on the bottom just like you were saying. Stay gravy!

Clayton if you ever want to come down to Red wing mn for spring walleye fishing let me know I'll be glad to house you and go fishing

Great video, great stories by a great teacher. Thank you
Amazing work! Love how that big one ate it on the fall.
Was fun to watch that!
Exercise enough to get your heart rate up. Then, keep your head under water for as long as you can. This is what a large fish feels like when pulled out of the water.
Pretty much sums it up!
Awesome videos love these videos. We watch them at work waiting for flights to come in
Appreciate you watching the videos :)
Nice
Hundreds of lakers but still looking for a 40, you make it look so easy but im in Wi lake superior. They are here but 2 years now didnt get out , no ice.

drone footage of fireworks was epic. great fish 441/4, always good stuff Clayton..
Wish I was better with cameras, drones etc haha :)
Great video! Glad I'm not the only one that sits on a spot all day and gets excited when ANY mark appears. But around here, if you're fussing with the "little'rs" you'll seldom catch a "good'r". Of course he's Clayton Schick and I stole those terms. 😂

Just love ur video thanks u umade me a better fisher all the way from ottawa ontario
Love seeing you get a Gooder! Great video!
Was a VERY fun fish!
Cheers. By the way that fish fought I thought it was it. The new PB victory. Darn that was a beautiful fish. Always a great vid. ❤️✌️👍
Was very close!
Big smoak is from steinback Manitoba. Got a chuckle when you said he does ship to Canada now 🤣
As in he only ships to Canada, and before he never shipped at all?

What were ice conditons like in canada thos year? Were you affected like the midwest. It was our warmest year on record here in Wisconsin. Great video
A nice Sunday treat. Awesome work dude, love the fireworks too 🍻
Cheers to you and Emery!
awww I sooo though the 2nd big one was going to eat, awesome video!
Would have been pretty epic if it did!!
🦈 🦈 🦈 🦈 🦈 🦈 👍👍 Letsssss Goooooo!!! Awesome catch, Yo!!! If I caught that.. everyone within a miles distance would hear me 😂😂❤🤘 🎣

Thank you my friend!
Awesome video Clayton?
Awesome fish Like the fireworks at the end too that was pretty cool
Thanks man!! Cheers!
Have you ever done a top 5 clay vs jay but with lake trout?
We have not...
You had a swivel in the last video using spoons. Do you ever use a swivel when using the big tubes for lakers? I get a ton of line twist jigging the big tubes
I run a FG knot for lake trout because I like a longer leader. The line twist thing is annoying though 100%
How do you keep your baits from getting crazy line twist without a swivel? I know you guys who chase the big ones don’t use them. But if I don’t use one with tubes or spoons, my bait will look like the Gravatron when I pull it out of the water

I have VERY tough days too! That is from Canadian tire. 5 foot folding bench.
I also tie braid too my leader with a FG knot, but do you worry or have any line twist ? I don't like to have a swivel but I've noticed some line twist.
Epic video Clayton!
Cheers buddy!
Clayton jay today made a video about ar glasses for livescope and I like to hear your thoughts about it? Awesome video love Lakers
