Yay! I knew there was a reason I'd been keeping all those 1" strips! Thanks for another great quilt tutorial ❤
It's my pleasure!
Love it.
I like the simplicity of this quilt, very clever way of using up scraps, a good starter quilt for beginners, all in all it looks fabulous, thanks for a great tutorial
You are so welcome!😁
❤❤❤❤❤❤
❤
This is such a beautiful quilt!!!
Thank you!
This is a wonderful quilt! I like your two color border, too!
Thank you so much! It was fun to think out of the box.
My next quilt! I currently have most of the blocks for Sailor’s Song constructed, so thank you sincerely for that. To anyone who hasn’t seen that video, it’s a WOW quilt. Happy quilting!
Thank you for your awesome support!!!
I just finished sailor song! I used 3 colors instead of 2. It turned out fantastic
@@marythompson9952 I'd love to see a picture of it; especially in 3 colors!! My email address is: revelationquilts@yahoo.com
Love it!!💕💕❤❤
Thanks Dolores!
So easy and yet so creative! Thank you so much for inspiring me to use my scraps in such a beautiful way!❤
it is truly my pleasure!
Love this quilt! I’ve got to make one❤️
Please do!
Great design with lots of variation possibilities.
Glad you like it!
So very cool & creative 👏
Thank you!
I would really like to make this one day. It is such a fun and unique pattern. Thanks for sharing……………..
You’re welcome 😊
You have an awesome eye for different style quilts. I just love it. Thanks.
Thank you so much!
I would have never thought of that border idea. I like that, I am going to try that idea.
Another quilt on my to-do list! Love your quilts! I would appreciate seeing how you quilt each of your quilts. I need ideas. Thanks!
HaHa - you and me both. You wouldn't believe how many unquilted tops I have piled up. I seriously need to get busy and quilt them.
It is a little like magic. 😃❤❤❤
I have to agree - it kinda is!
I want the quilt. Yay
Love the quilt.
It’s so adorable. I am definitely going to make this for a baby in my life ❤
Yay! I hope you enjoy!
Looks super cool 👍🏽… Great job 👏🏾
Thank you! 🤗
Good use of scraps! Quilt looks good.
QUESTIONS...size of finished quilt, background fabric required & how much backing?
I used 2 yards of background fabric (which includes the border & binding). I mentioned in the video that the quilt measures 56" x 44". Not sure on the backing as I haven't gotten that far yet. I will use 108" backing.
I really like this! Always looking for unique yet easy baby quilt designs. I would make the maroon border narrower and asymetrical, sort of mimicking the proportion of the color strips in the block. I enjoy your channel. Thank you for sharing!
I will bind the whole thing with the background fabric so it will look more like a strip. I totally understand what you’re saying. 😊
I love your style! I've about decided to just go through your playlist again and make each quilt as the video comes up. I do have a question on this one though. You said you tried different size inner strips and one inch wide works best for you. Why was this size better? I'm planning to make this quilt but am thinking I want a wider strip but I am really reluctant to ignore your judgment.
The wider strips didn’t give the same optical illusion. They just looked like wide strips.
Really nice. When you first showed, the pink has been all the backgrounds, I wondered how it would turn out. But it looks gorgeous. Sounds lucky babies going to be tickled pink. Excuse the pun.
Thank you! Cheers!😄
How do you buy backgrounds? I don't ever buy "that much" pink, in this example, to make this quilt.
I specifically bought this fabric for this project. Otherwise, I always keep yardage of white, black & grey in my studio for background purposes.
