Me again! I stitched up two of these blocks today (I tagged you on Insta if you want to see them) and they are so much fun to make! Quick, too, if you ignore the three hours I spent happily going through my scrap box. I still need to work on color/print selections; my first one is quite chaotic with three different fabrics in the background (pink & yellow hibiscus, pink hamsters on yellow flowers, and a yellow/orange/white hexagon print with little bees on it) and a teal heart that clashes spectacularly with all of them. I plan to sew up few at a time, piece them together with a neutral sashing, then take the finished patchwork and turn it into a tote bag. Thank you so much for posting this tutorial 🙂
I "HEART" this! I just finished piecing a layer cake pattern and have some leftovers. I think I'll have to make one of these in the next few days! I'm looking forward to seeing all the challenge quilts in a couple days, too. Almost time to vote!🥰
I'm thinking that a truly scrappy block with only the hearts being the same colour might be really interesting. Thanks for giving me something to think about.
