I know exactly what happened that night because I have lived it. Narcs are brilliant at lying. Acting they do so well. Personally I think he has temporal ADHD. MPD.OCD. Reeva a brilliant person, too young to understand the danger she was in should have applied the following rule. Get away get away get away, go no contact. Put yourself in his position. You have no legs. You wake up suddenly from a noise in your house. You are still half asleep. You are at your most vulnerable. I agree he should have probably shot a warning shot first but when you are in that position you are not thinking straight. The first judge was correct, it was manslaughter not murder but they made an example of him. He served more than half his sentence and should have been released a long time ago. Also Miss Reeva Steenkamp was not as innocent as everyone thinks. She only dated him because of his fame. Who says they were even sleeping in the same bed since they did have a fight that evening. Only he knows what really happened and I believe him, not the story the police came up with.

@paulbowman1762…When he was moving the fans she got out of bed and went into the bathroom to use the toilet. She opened the window in the bathroom and it made a very loud noise and scared him. The room was totally blacked out and he didn’t see or hear her get up. So obviously he thought she was still in bed and the noise was an intruder l. I mean, this is all just common sense. Accidental shootings do happen. All the time actually. I don’t know why people refuse to believe his story. He was found innocent of murdeing Reeva. At that point in time, he had received multiple death threats so, I wouldn’t call it paranoia. I would call it legitimate fear. Btw….South Africa is not the safest place in the world. In fact, it’s actually a pretty violent place. And also….I lock my bathroom door at 3 am. Why ?? Because I was a victim of a violent home invasion 25 years ago. And 4 months ago I found a prowler in my back yard (different house). It brought back all that fear from 25 years ago. So yeah, I lock my bathroom door at 3 am and I don’t care what you or anyone else thinks or says about that. You’re judging Oscar’s choices based on your own life experience. Some people have different, and sometimes very traumatic, life experiences. Try to think outside the box. You aren’t a lawyer and thank God for that because you wouldn’t be a very good one. You lack life experience, common sense, and critical thinking skills. Also…..why all the capitalizations ??? Are you that desperate for attention ? 🤔

    • @RRP9860
      @RRP9860 4 месяца назад +1

His traumatic life experiences were relayed during the trial, yes. How traumatised he was as a child with a deep seated 'fear' of attack.
Yet, despite that he left the sliding door to the balcony open (what's the most important to address first, your life long fear or being hot), this after he had removed his prosthetics (put himself in a vulnerable state), with his girlfriend (who he wants to protect inclusive of himself) beside him and then went to sleep?
Knowing people had worked/were working at his house and that there were ladders outside?
Then after he had fired the shots through the toilet door, he's still too scared to turn the lights on?
Who doesn't turn the light on when it is 'pitch dark', you've fired shots and there is still no movement?
How will you see the intruder at a distance in order to take proper aim with zero light (it was pitch dark in the room as per his testimony).
When he told Reeva 'to phone the police' while he was retrieving his gun and she didn't respond at all - that didn't move him to make sure that she had heard him with simply 'Reeva'?
The only conclusion we can come to then is that he assumed - assumed she was in bed, assumed she had heard him, even though there was no response from her at his instruction, no sound of movement, no affirmation, nothing. His ears weren't ringing then, were they?
Surely his house was fitted with an alarm system, seeing how afraid he had always been since childhood, inclusive of being a celebrity of sorts and due to his vulnerability when without his prosthetics? An alarm system has a 'panic button' function in case of emergencies, usually linked to an armed-response security service. If so, why wasn't this utilised immediately upon hearing 'the noise'?
As for his parole, nothing can bring Reeva back, ever. Not even a thousand years in prison. He will have to live with 'his truth', whatever that truly is, for the rest of his life. People will never look at him the same as before all this happened, he will also have to live with that. Hard fact.

He's a narcissistic, paranoid mess. Arrogant and entitled. This beautiful lady lost her life for one reason. She did not do what she was instructed to do. Before you go to sleep, bring in the fans and lock the doors. When he woke up and saw that she was asleep and those doors were still open, he lost it. Because he rightly or wrongly see's intruders around every corner. And it triggered him. She must have been terrified. And fled to the bathroom for protection. I don't think he meant to kill her. He clearly believes that he is better than anyone else. And no one has ever held him accountable for the BS he has done over the years.

Nowhere has it been mentioned that Oscar's horrific boating accident that caused him life threatening brain trauma which produced dramatic personality changes that his friends and family brought to light in interviews, may have played into what happened.
The same type of damage experienced by football defense linemen who have experienced repeated concussive brain injury after years of being tackled. From lack of impulse control , judgement, paranoia and violence, these victims become capable of anything from suicide to homicide and dementia.
Oscar may have continued to be the good-natured, altruistic, compassionate, generous person he was before the accident. Nothing in his upbringing suggests he was a born psychopath. He knew he was loved and he gave as good as he got. He would have retired to have a family of his own maybe after a career that would have included Olympic gold. It is a tragedy for all concerned!

The one thing that has always bothered me and maybe some ladies can give their opinion, if they were 3 months in a relationship, they knew each other and it was valentines.....Is it not rare for a girl to go to the bathroom in the dark and lock the door? Normally because of the relationship being so new, you go to the loo but dont lock the door, close it maybe...if it was me, the door would have been open, its a big house, its dark, I would want the door open especially because Oscar was not in the bathroom with her so privacy was not an issue......it is the one thing that makes me not believe his story....why was the door locked? UNLESS she did go to the loo with the door open, she may have wanted some air so opened the window, she then hears Oscar's call to her that someone is in the house, not wanting to bring attention to herself she closes the door and locks it then, Oscar hears this and thinks that criminals have come in through the window and into the toilet. It's enough to create reasonable doubt.....

Maybe she was scared of him or it was just a habbit ???? It was in the middle of the night.... she could have been scared or just not very awake.

@@moonwitch1 ok answer me truthfully now ok. Have you got up for a wee in the dead of night ? Did you lock the bathroom door?
I think she was scared of him and hiding and he lost his shit.

Maybe when he yelled “Reeva, call the police”, she got scared and locked the door. But not too sure about that one.

@Hellstothenaw Yes, maybe. Mad situation wasn't it that one. I remember when it happened , the news said he shot at an intruder and his gf is dead, and oh, what a tragedy, poor Oscar, etc.
We will never know the exact truth as Oscar fought for his life in court, didn't he.
He was not a steady character. I think he got mad at her for something, and she ran to the bathroom and locked it, and he shot her, not really thinking it would hit her or kill her. Did she have a cellphone in the bathroom with her? Icr. If so, the last calls or messages would be something to look at.

Tragic tragic mistake 😪 and Oscar has paid the price! I am so happy he is finally free, he should have never been imprisoned, the deed is punishment enough. Ì pray he goes on to live a productive and meaningful life❤

This was a terrible injustice. I know as sure as anything precious in life that this man suffered both the loss of his girlfriend, as well as the suffering he endured because people had a mob mentality and would have thrown stones if they could have.
He also wanted to punish himself because he couldn't forgive himself for that terrible mistake through a misunderstanding of the circumstance.
He felt that he needed to punish himself, and stood as condemned.
    He deserves to go forward,
to live a great life for both himself and Reeva.
She wants him to , because it will give her peace. I know she understands.

I think he has sevrved enough time.Just remember His sentence is not over.He still has to live under house aresst extra.Wich is not nice you basically stay locked up in your home and cant go anywhere so it like jail but .Just better food and a garden .i agree look at those rapists that get off eailer.Go back into society and commit the same crimes again.Hurting woeman and children ..There should be longer sentences for them.......its got nothing to do with money or race.....Pepole are quick to talk about race and money. But thats simply not the case here. Now leave this man alone and move on ...He is still serving his time.Go complainn about the rapists.....

No justice in South Africa. My brother inlaw and his tandem partner were killed by a 19 year old taxi driver with no licence that came with a high speed through a red light. He did not even looked at them, kicked out the front window where he hit them. Took off the number plates and drove off. After four years, court cases and thousands of Rands spent on advocates and private investigators, he is still a free man.???? Now my question is why no who haa about their unexpected deaths and the what about the 3000 SA farmer murdered. Oscar did his time and must now be left to live his life now. Reeva will never come back and no one knows what she did. Oscar you will always be our golden boy. ❤❤

Calling this man, who is either a murderer or so self centered and filled with fear that he could accidentally kill his girlfriend, a "golden boy" is nauseating. Oscar, at best, is a disgusting, weak narcissist.

This whole parole non-sense should be scrapped, because it set's the wrong message that crime pays.
If you get 15 years for murder - you serve 15 years and not a day less.
