      grapple feat
      +advantage grapplre
      +advantage on range attacks
-?? it says use your action to grapple again to pin greature. So it takes whole action and you can't take extra attack action??
      -your speed is 0
      -your attacks have disadvantage
      -attacks against you have advantage
      Grapple + shove
      +You can move half speed
+Enemy is proned and can't end it because grappled
      -range attacks have disadvantage
Both give advantage on attacks against the target.
Both lilit the targets speed to 0
both give disadvantage onnattack rolls against the target
Pinned winning the grapple can still move 30ft
Prone has to spend half of it steep to stand up
that is so far what I have found after looking in to grappler feat for 2 weeks ^_^ still if you know how RAW go on the action I would like to know.
So why west a feat unoess you want advantage? just rage~ it gives you advantage, recless attack does not RAW :^) and rolling 20 is notninsta succes in grappler nor shove RAW (rules as written)

I would kindly like to plop in a cool chip of info here.
Keenmind is excellent for wizards... mostly if and when you loose your book you're still good to go for a month because you can recall it all in flawless detail. Also can help you make a new book.

    • @flingage
      @flingage 4 года назад +63

Shiiiit now I'm going to make one broken-ass wizard. Damn I can't believe I didn't think of that.
Hell you could literally leave your spellbook behind for any adventure you know will take less than a month, and never risk losing it.
The only possible problem would be if you end up gaining a level (and thus one or more spell slots) on that adventure.
Just bring an extra, blank 'scratchbook' maybe?

    • @xezzee
      @xezzee 3 года назад +1

@SaviorOfNirn yeah... but you only need it for enough time to read the pages, then you can return the book....
Times when you can use these is if enemy is wizard you can "I wont kill him/her" and then you take the spellbook if it is with him/her and read the book :D
Having Paladin/Cleric/Bard cast zone of truth is important so they tell where the book is if not with them a n d if it is protected by some kind of trap that will destroy the spell book ^_^ few ways DM can work around keen mind -> wizard don't have to carry the spell book with them :D

Resilient is very useful for casters other than sorcerers because concentration checks are Con saves. For higher-level characters (for example, if you maxed out your spellcasting stat before choosing a feat), the proficiency bonus is better than the advantage that War Caster gives.

I took Keen Mind because our game features a lot of caves and areas where the characters’ sense of time is screwed with, magically and otherwise. I knew we’d only been in a cave for an hour and a half, but because of the nature of the cave, the rest of the party thought we’d been down there for hours or even a day or two. Sentinel + pole arm mastery = opportunity attack on entering a range with reach that stops them in their track outside of their reach. Allowing you to attack for free then move 5 feet away without disengaging cause you aren’t in their reach.
The only time someone can actually get close enough to attack is bows spells Spears or if your opportunity attack misses or your reaction is spent from you protecting your allies.
AKA, use a spear the way a spear is actually meant to be used and make melee attacks against you so rare that as long as all ranged targets are focused. You will never get hurt ever.

And since lets say you hit a wall so the time the force is applyed over is super small. 80kg monk going 1125ft/s -> 343m/s = 27440kgm/s. Thats your momentum. 27440=F* assumed .6 seconds -> 4574N of force on impact. Thats 1027 pounds of force hitting said solid object. Perspective : the average car going 30mph hitting a wall is only about 500 pounds of force. This speed build isnt even min maxed

If you're playing a warlock or illusionist in a game about investigations and solving mysteries then try to haggle with your DM on a way to combo observant, keen mind, and misty visions/silent image.
A PC that has all three of those should be able to use their illusions to recreate any room they've been in and re try investigation, perception, or most other intelligence and wisdom skill checks. Or just look for more clues.

Add in that most dedicated ranger builds can take that -5 hit to therir attack role and not feel it and well, its just a passive +10 damage to all your attacks. Lets a gloomstalker ranger basically do 200+ damage before the enemy can react at level 8.

I think he skimmed the feats and had never seen it in a game before. Virtually all paladins, fighters, and barbarians automatically take it and having it at level 1 is single handedly why variant humans are more popular than any other race. Even clerics, druids, rangers, bards, and melee spellcasters can use it to great effect because it's so easy to offset the penalty through one of the many ways to get advantage on attack rolls.

Sure it’s kinda like a poor man’s Evasion, but for a Fighter or a Paladin who potentially already have a super high AC, you now have a defense against your biggest weakness of AoE attacks. I loved using inspiring leader as a fighter with the gladiator background. Giving rousing speeches about how no matter the bad everyone else in the party was, that I was great, and if someone as great as I believed in them, then they should believe in them as well

You can't stack feats unless it says you can. Which, I believe is just Elemental Adept?
So, basically, for Martial Adept; no, you basically just take it on battlemaster, and nothing else.
((if that's just your houserule though that's understandable it is a bad feat without being able to stack it unless you're BM))

So you sometimes censor words, and sometimes you do not. When you do decide to, you use an annoying beep instead of dead air?

    Cool use for keen mind:
    *Be wizard with a familiar.
    *Familiar scouts dungeon.
*You memorize dungeon layout with keen mind and seeing through the eyes of your familiar.
*Cast minor illusion and make a 3D map of the dungeon for everyone to reference.
(Yes I got this from Reddit)
