The cruise lines get massive fees if they leave late that is why they don't wait. A passenger would never be able to afford the fees the cruise lines get hit with.

I was drunk in Cozumel. The margaritas hit me and my friend group. But we made it back an hour before the ship left. I ran the whole pier drunk off my ass and promoting the margaritas. I started crawling out the elevator and I don’t regret it one bit. The people around me didn’t seem to mind my crawling either. The people in this video seem inconsiderate though. At least I ran and prayed that I wouldn’t face plant.

Yeah, I think he was trying to move a little quicker. I still don’t get why people just take their sweet time coming back though like the ship won’t leave them.
