World Record: Cruise Ship Pier Runners Heckled By Others
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 3 сен 2023
- World record scene right here. Pier runners are cruise ship guests who are late returning to the ship at a port of call. They are at risk of the ship leaving them so they are often seen running back to the ship if they are late. Here is Royal Caribbean, mariner of the seas in Nassau, as we watch all of the late cruise guests. This was a Bahamas cruise, and it is not often to see pier runners, but when you do see them sometimes it's funny to hear the crowd cheering them. Watch until the end to see if we make the record and witness the heckling from fellow cruisers. This is one adventure you don't want to miss! #worldrecordpierrunners #pierrunnersinnassau #cruiseshipadventures #pierrunner #PierRunners #Royalcaribbean #MarinerOfTheSeas #Nassau #pierrunnersnassau
Must see this hilarious parody song with pier runners
• Cruise Ship Left Them!...
Amazing how many pier runners this time. We had an early all aboard. That and a late shore excursion.
I wouldn’t jump to any conclusion. Maybe all of these late passengers were on a Royal Caribbean sponsored excursion where the ship must wait.
Thats exactly what happened....we do not recommend the excursion to Pearl Island ! 😂
Yeah after a while I realized that and did mention it.
Agree!
That’s what I thought. They usually won’t wait
If that were the case why would they not come in a big group like escorted instead of on their own. This would A keep people from cheering and jeering and B keep people from going out on their own after the excusion and the ship having to wait for people being late because of their own fault and thinking they will wait for us because we were through the ship.
Same thing happened to me when I was in Nassau. A large group of us went on a royal caribbean excursion and we hit a bad current which stopped us from getting back in time. I was horrified and they booed us all
In this case like yours it was ship excursion back late so they waited. The people still love to jeer and cheer.
Wow
Not pier runners if it was a ship excursion that came in late
@@SteveTempleton-yh9oz yeah I realized that at the end but I think the first several were on their own.
They should of announced what happened, they can’t leave it wasn’t their fault
Ships should not wait at all. For those who disregard time
And That is EXACTLY why you should book Excursions through the Cruise Line.!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They did!
@arribaficationwineho32 yes. The ones at the end turned out to be a later arriving ship excursion but many were still afraid of being left lol.
@arribaficationwineho32 yeah that last group did
Probably, it was an excursion purchesed from the ship. That's why the ship had to wait for them.
Yes partially that last large group coming in off that pirate ship
If they were on a ship sponsored excursion, then technically they aren't pier runners.
Right. I am sure the big group at the end was from a ship excursion. Hard to distinguish the first several.
True. The ship HAS to wait if it's their excursion.
@lindajohnson4378 yes they will.
If they were on an excursion booked with the cruise line the ship has to wait for them .
Right. That’s why we waited. There was one ship excursion late getting back. But the first several were on their own. They got lucky lol.
We were a ship excursion (on HAL) during Spring Break in 2015 on Mexican Rivera cruise which was at least going to come back an hour late. They could not wait for us to return because the tide was going out and had to leave, otherwise the ship would be stranded at the port. We knew we were going to be left behind, as the tour guide was on the phone with ship since we started our return. We had four other family members cruising with us and they were already back on board since they took a different tour. We called them to let them know. The port agent made arrangements for us to fly that evening to the next port, they paid for our overnight stay at a nice all inclusive resort and the next day we watched our ship come into the port. It was actually an adventure. There are about 30 guests on the tour.
@@MB-uy5kh wow that’s quite a story. Glad it worked out for you.
Thanks for the cute guy in video 📹 with monster drink
That's why we always use the ship excursions, guaranteed not to be left behind if late.
That’s the best advantage- no worries.
Us too. More expensive but worth the peace of mind.
I think the ship can leave u in some cases but the cruise line is responsible for getting u back on the ship. That’s why I’ll never do a private excursion. Way too risky to have my vacation ruined.
@@lamofonguera7807 not a bad plan.
If you are late, first round of drinks for everyone is on you.
I had no idea. A cruise ship vacay is my version of hell! Too many people. But this is similar, in a way, to when campers show up at the campground and everyone is watching while they back up and park in their site. Cheap entertainment especially when you see couples fighting or the person can't back into their camp site!
Haha. Indeed it’s good entertainment especially to hear the heckling from the peanut gallery
I think this is my favorite kind of video.
You get better results if you RUN!!!!!! When you run every one knows that you are trying!!
😂😂🎯
EVEN WORSE WHEN YOU WALK!!!! the rule is if you are late the least thing that you can do is RUUUNNNNNNN!!
How people are late getting back on the ship is mind blowing. You know way better you even take the cruise what time the ship gets there and leaves.
To be fair, the group at the latter part were on a late arriving shore excursion. The first half though they were just plain late. They could have been left if there wasn’t a late ship excursion.
For that amount of late comers they were on a ship bought excursion. Had to be.
Yes that’s what I concluded also.
Leave the smug individuals behind. I am not a person that is early, but if I were late for a cruise departure leave me.
We were almost "those people" in St Lucia once. Actually had about 10 minutes to sail away, but we still got plenty of cheerful noise from the ship.
Wow. Glad you didn’t get left.
10 minutes away from sail away meant you were 20 minutes late from the all aboard time.
I'm guessing the last batch of "pier runners" were from a ship excursion that ran late. Ship must wait!
Yes.
Our first cruise: our ticket said the ship leaves at 6pm. The real time was 4pm! Luckily we aimed to get there 2 hours before. We got there 4:05 in a panic when we realised we were late and showed our ticket. No-one knew why the 2 hour discrepency. It was very stressfull.
Wow..
What date was this? I was on the NCL Joy, we did a overnight there instead of Bermuda cause of storm. I saw them pull gangway up after someone got on and I heard someone got left
That’s the date I was here
That’s the date I was here
I am not sure about any cruise line but Carnival. But i know on Carnival if the back on board time is 2:30, the scheduled departure time is 3:00. If we have everyone early then we depart early. If we do not have everyone we wait until departure time. Later if people are on a Carnival sponsered excursion.
That’s consistent with other lines.
All this shouting is like fish wife's, this man is very opinionated..
I'll have to check out RCCL's excursions now that it looks like they sail out of New Orleans. We live near St Louis and prefer to drive.
I wish we had been on the booze cruise! 😂 We don't recommend the Pearl Island excursion...a ferry broke down and we waited for almost an hour for a boat to come get us off the island!
Next time the booze cruise may be worth a try 😂
They might have had an excursion that ran late and it was booked through the cruiseline. Maybe why those folks weren't running. The cruiseline knows who's on the itinerary for the excursion and their estimated time of arrival back which is why they are still sitting still and the gangway is down, ropes not pulled up yet. Anybody not on that excursion and was late is LUCKY that day. ijs I like to get back at least 2 hours before the due back on board time just to be safe and I'm wearing a wrist watch that is on ship's time.
Yea that’s what I surmised later on in the video.
I couldn’t run. It would be terrible to be late.
Reason #12 to never go on a cruise ship😅
Wow 😂😂that’s crazy
I sell water ballons and pay for my trip.
😂😂😂😂
Wait, here come 10 more😊
😂😂😂
Thru NO fault of their own.... NOT PIER RUNNERS!!!
The chairmen of the Darwin Awards need look no further than the piers of commercial cruise ships for candidates.
Hahahaa.
Hedk yeah 😂😂😂😂😂😂
If "All Aboard" is at 14:30 BE ABOARD AT 14:20!!! NOT just showing up. LET alone 20min late just strolling up it's nothing. BIG FINES should be given to passengers who hold up departure by more than 10min due to THEIR NEGLIGENCE!!!
how unbelievably irresponsible. I'd leave them behind.
I'd have a cart at the end of the pier and charge a $1,000 nonrefundable fee to drive you to the ship.
Love it!!!
Bruh if all aboard is at 2:30 I am gonna be on the ship at 1:30, army anxiety wont allow me to be late!
Good plan. I am usually no later than 30 minutes before all aboard.
Time blindness seems to affect only certain populations.
How many times are you going to say they we on a ship excursion
This was part of a live stream broadcast so for the benefit of people tuning in at various times..Thats why.
I don't know why but there's something funny about watching people literally running to catch the ship. I'd personally love to go a cruise and pray I have a stateroom with a balcony, cause i'd have a small thing of popcorn watching the fools who forgot to watch their time
Haha. Yea it’s quite entertaining to hear the peanut gallery comments.
Because of that booze cruise, must have been why the gangway remained out. Very rare for this.
The ship waiting for the irresponsible will encourage people to arrive late
ur in the NASSAU!!! lol of course it is hot!!!🥵🥵🥵🤣🤣🤣
bpt everytime
😂😂😂😂
They are entitled
we all have phones and watches!! and ppl need to watch what happens when YOU"RE the pier runner!!!! EVERYONE KNOWS WHO YOU ARE!!!!!!
What part of "we leave on time. You will be 100% responsible for your transit to the next port or home. No refunds for the unused portion of the cruise is confusing"?
100%. But to be fair, the group at the end appeared to be on a late arriving cruise ship excursion. But the others at the beginning were lucky there was a late ship excursion and we were waiting for them.
100%. But to be fair, the group at the end appeared to be on a late arriving cruise ship excursion. But the others at the beginning were lucky there was a late ship excursion and we were waiting for them.
@@RoyalCaribbeanCruiseChronicles I 100% agree. I commented before the Booze Cruise ship scene
If not on an organised trip they should all be fined or not allowed off at next port.
😂
I love hearing the cheers of pier runner hecklers. I absolutely love joining in with a rousing rendition of "Run, Forrest, run!"
Yeah that’s the funniest part
They lucky those 5 family members lucky the ship waited
It seems there was a ship excursion arriving back late so that’s really why the ship waited.
I hear some soca music!
Yeah lol.
If they’re on a ship excursion then they’re not pier runners lol js
True. Many on here we’re on their own in the first part.
The ship should NEVER leave before 5:00 PM
They wouldn’t be so happy when the gang wood pulled and they are left behind
😂😂😂
The ones who were on a ship excursion and were late are not "pier runners". So there isn't a record of pier runners. Lol
Hello Nick
HOW LONG DO CRUISE SHIPS WAIT FOR LATE PASSENGERS...???
Got two scripts as Google not keen on saying idiots..
For ship excursions they will wait til they get back. For other guests on their own, they will wait minimum 30 minutes past all aboard and then it depends on the distance to next port.
I’m curious if this kind of behavior is common on cruises in, say, East Asia.
Probably wouldn’t be like this in East Asia.
If passengers are late because of a cruise sponsored excursion, then wait a reasonable amount of time for them. Otherwise 15 minutes and leave! The entitlement is outrageous
I wonder if they where on a an excursion
Turned out they were but the first groups were not. They got lucky
They should have been left how do you get out there and loose track of time its your responsibility to get back on time and if u cant then stay on the ship fr
It’s the all about me people
😂😂
The slow people who weren't running at the 8:00 mark, the lady CAN'T run. Looks like her hips, knees or back isn't in great shape. Older people can't just break out in a run like you must think they can. They will get hurt.
I’ve noticed on cruises I’ve been on the same people do it at every stop there the last to board every time
Some people are just always late to everything
WHAT'S WRONG WITH EVERYONE!!!! GET UR BUTTS ON YOUR SHIP!! IT'S NOT THAT HARD!
The first few were simply late. The last group ended up from a late arriving ship excursion. I give that group a pass lol.
@@RoyalCaribbeanCruiseChronicles ok true lol
So if they were on a booked ship excursion, why is there a need to run??? Nobody has to run under those circumstances and booing someone for that is un-necessary. I was on a cruise where a couple held the ship up three times during the cruise because they didn't feel being back on time was important. The Captain refused to allow them off the ship for the rest of the time. Same people THREE TIMES!!! and yes they understood what time to be back, no they were not from another country they were just plain stupid and inconsiderate.
Wow. Serves them right !
Why go through the trouble? The ship honestly should have left without them the second time.
@@eadecamp the second wave of people were on a ship excursion… I realized that after a while but still a lot of people late weren’t on a ship excursion. They got lucky.
wanna bet booze cruise. they are always late! I am at 10 30
Vhen time is passet just move
all i can say is. i would of yellled very rude things to them
Wasn't their fault. It was the cruise's own excursion that arrived late.
How long do the Cruise Ships wait. For idiots who are Late..!!
Run down to Foyer and take photographs of late arrivals.
.Then point at them at dinner...
They will wait if it’s a ship excursion. Otherwise at least 30 minutes past all aboard and then it depends on distance to next port.
And these ppl just walking so slow like the ship owe them something het ur azz back on time or stay on the ship
It was a cruise sponsored excursion. That’s why they had to wait
be hard not too
😂😂
No excuse make it your business to get back on time otherwise see ya 🙋♂️
😮😅
i say penilized them. make them pay
It is very clear the reason there are so many especially at the end this is a ship excursion that was late. That is the ship's responsibility which is why many in the large groups were not running.
I would not make assumptions and jeer someone if it is the ship's responsibility. You are advised to go on the ship excursions for this reason.
I am not saying all but it is pretty clear here several here were on one of those So narrator be careful about judging them and in particular the later groups walking.
I personally could not run much at my age and fitness and if on an excursion like this why should I? I would walk as fast as I could but not going to make myself ill due to something that is not my fault.
I am glad you finally figured it out but a bit late in your video after a lot of judging.
Personally if I was not on a ship excursion would allow myself 1 and half hours to be safe, less stressful as things can happen. However I would probably choose ship excursions for places I don't know well or locations not easy quick access to the port.
Now if someone made a habit of being late perhaps get annoyed.
That is different.
I know someone who was late and it was due to a traffic accident. So no I wouldn't jeer myself for a one off as would not wish to presume.
Thank you very much for the comments. It seems like a “tradition” for all the cruise guests standing out in their balconies waiting for the late arrivals so they can cheer and watch. It’s all in fun. Thanks again.
@@RoyalCaribbeanCruiseChronicles I would cheer as even when it is their fault I still feel for people who miss the ship. I would be standing there willing people to make it 😁
so rude when you don't even TRY to RUN!!
no excuse for this. the ship should of just left on time
There were several later on in the video that appeared to come from a late arriving ship excursion so they get a pass.
It may not be rude to walk, when late you be can ring the ship and explain, could be they cannot run, due to medical reasons, you can not comment without no know their circumstances !
people just dont care.
Bill them $500.00 per person!
That would light a fire under them lol.
Imagine if everyone watching from their balconies, mocking and laughing, exercised as much as these pier runners.😮 I'm sure obesity wouldn't be an issue....😅
😂. Good comment
The folks on the balconies got back on time!
Brian, you literally weigh like 350 pounds, wtf?
@@dobees8183 Maybe with your lady laying on top of me 😏
Spoken like someone who's been on the receiving end of the mocking. You have zero proof that any of these people who made it BACK to the ship on time and are having their limited vacation time ruined because of entitled idiots, are obese.
Passengers should be charged $20 per minute they are late automatically on their stateroom bill. Everyone knows what time to be back.
Lesson number one - ship time can be different to local time…never hoo pier runners as they may have got the time wrong
Uh. Then they still deserve to be booed and heckled.
Imagine trump trying to run and catch a ship! hahahahhaha I think I pee'd?
😂😂😂
Imagine you not having TDS.
What is so great about seeing people board a ship?! IF they were actually left behind now THAT is when it IS funny. This is just click-bait BS.
The title says “Pier Runners”. Not “cruisers left behind”. It’s still funny to watch them run and hear the heckling going on.
You are finding fault and you do not know why they were late.
At the end I did say must be cruise ship excursion
Yes you did, but were super critical of them until that time.@@RoyalCaribbeanCruiseChronicles
@lelandnanny967 at least I wasn’t among all those others yelling and jeering 😂
Who cares the why? Still entertaining. I would be laughing at myself
A plane will not wait….either will a cruise ship…
There’s something really obnoxious about waiting to jeer at people. Especially when you don’t know why they are late. It’s bullying by terrible people who need to get a life and a moral compass.
It’s a common occurrence for the cruise guests waiting and watching for the late arrivals. Most of them just cheer and make jokes.
Wow. Inconsiderate.
Not our fault....ship excursion and the ferry was almost an hour late coming to get us off Pearl Island
@@brigettehall6316 oh sorry. That’s a good reason to be late.
With all due respect in this case do you know why they would not escort you all to the ship so that A people would not jeer and B people would not abuse that by saying they have to wait for us because we were through the ship and so we will do some more exploring and/or take our own sweet time getting back? There is a difference in running or going quickly and just slowly walking up the pier because well they have to wait so we will just take our own sweet time. Additionally, would they not let people on the ship know may help with the cheering and jeering as well if people KNEW they were late through no fault of their own. @@brigettehall6316
People are nasty.
You talk waaay too much.
Sorry. It was a live stream so just keeping people updated as they popped in. Or maybe I had too many Red Bulls 😂
