Can’t blame Gunn and Safran for that though. That was the Rock and his agent using a dirty to tactic to try and ensure Black Adam was a success and solidify their power over DC. It backfired hard unfortunately.

I think james gunn is a cringe soy, but his movies are so much better than anything DC has been putting out that I really don't know why anyone cares or is worried about any of this, I'd literally bet anything that whenever he releases something it's just gonna be successful, fun AND better than any of these turds that got released from DC.

In serious news, im heartbroken. I was not a fan of man of steel when it first came out because i was 10 years old. The movie quickly after started to grow on me and its in my top 3 favorite comic book movies. Henry will always be my live action superman. He understood the character, knew the source material, looked like superman but most importantly, he loved the character. I’ll miss him.
As for james gunn and that other guy that is irrelevant, i dont have any respect for them at all. I feel the same way about WB and always have. Like I said in your previous video, im tried of the way they treat their actors, fans and just the constant drama. Im done with dc movies (not the comics or animated stuff). I gave gunn the benefit of the doubt but nah this broke me completely.

I feel 2 ways, one side I just want another good Superman movie regardless of who the actor is at this point (just praying whoever is a good actor and still looks like Kal-El) but if the Lobo rumours are true then that seems really odd choice to recast again.
And if that J.J. Abrams is still doing his Superman movie at the same time I've lost faith already. Thought the whole idea of switching actors wss to make it less confusing for the casual audience but having 2 different Superman movies won't help either.

You are 100% on point. One minor detail I disagree with: I do not think WB wants James Gunn to do something new. They want that Guardians „funny“ vibe… works for Suicide Squad but will fail with Superman.

WHY?!!, I was happy that Henry Cavill made an appearance in Black Adam and that they were going to make Man of Steel 2 but we’ll never to see it because James Gunn is planning to reboot the whole universe, Henry Cavill never got to have another solo movie since Man of Steel, and that was almost 10 years ago.
Gunn dont want him. They want to make black Superman and when everyone are fed up with Gunn is going to hit us with gay Superman to "fix" it.
Actually having Cavil around would remind people that we could have a good Superman around.

Gunn already said he wants to do a young Clark story so you don’t have shit to worry about. It sucks because on one side I just want a good DC universe of films with these characters on the otherhand I love these actors for the DCEU, well maybe one day if the new DCU decides to branch off to other Earths like Earth-2 we could get Henry Cavill's return as Superman on Earth-2 and maybe see Zack get to finish his 5 film story as an Earth-2 story.

Damn. Hard rebooting DC! And the new Superman movie is written by James Gunn. A guy that has written really solid movies but ALL of them are comedies with the exception of Dawn of the Dead. So yeah... Not great, tbh. They wanted a Marvel on DC and yeah... That won't work.

I’m still processing how this will all will go but right now I have some hope. I mean I can see them kinda going the Smallvile seasons 8-10 kinda route building him to become Superman but we will see I guess. I’ll be hopeful!
I’m so sick of the reboots, I came up in the Raimi Spider-Man era of superhero movies and it’s just so tired. The Batman being the exception to the rule I literally don’t care what DC does, the suits just want to print money like marvel does. Marvel is so soulless now it’s not even funny. Sad to see this news, but I’m grateful we have a somewhat cohesive Superman trilogy with Cavill thanks to the Snyder Cut
5:52 I’ll say it doesn’t have to be a black superman to talk about race relations superman vs the kkk for example superman doesn’t need to be black to be a minority he’s already a minority he’s the last of his people he feels so different which is why I feel like superman and race relations work so well but changing his races gets him rid of that unique perspective just because you look like “everyone else” doesn’t mean you feel like everyone else.

I loved Henry as Superman but unfortunately i feel like to get away from Snyder they need a hard reboot. It sucks but I’m optimistic about the future.

I'm of two opinions on this on the one hand we can get a more light-hearted and comic bookie Superman movie without all the baggage from Snyder's movies just like how the Batman was a breath of fresh air with a clean slate so I'm happy about that. On the other hand it sucks that we're never going to see Henry Cavill get another shot at Superman and I was really looking forward to that I think he can give us great Superman movie with the right director it's really depressing on how WB has treated Henry over the past few years and I'm honestly sad about that. so we'll see what happens I'm honestly 50/50 on this

The Zack Snyder stuff was the only good part of the DCEU bummer they didn't follow his vision. But also also shame on him for BvS that movie was clearly a part one type of movie and those type of movies already fell out of fashion by then.

I stopped watching Marvel many movies ago and have now given up on DC as well. Back to the source material for me, I still many Superman stories to read from the pre-woke days.
I mean while dc did pull a huge sike on henry Cavill and all his fans . This might be a good thing since dc is starting with a whole new universe and this time around they can control it better instead of what they did with the snyderverse. Since they are making a new movie based on a younger superman i really hope they do something like the earth one superman where he was like leaner and way younger than all the other bulked up and manly looking versions of superman that we got till now. As for the the brandon routh thing where he's a great actor but looks nothing like superman well I mean I kinda hope they do something different like sure keep like story of superman a bit intact but if they are gonna do like all in comic book accuracy and stuff then it's like seeing the same thing over and over again innit I hope they go for something different like yeah a leaner younger superman with their own take on the story like their own version of it.

I actually think this could be great! Get fresh blood, full on reboot. I think after 2023 we are not going to be in DCEU territory anymore. I think it's going to be a completely new thing entirely.
I hope the new Superman is David Corenswet. I watched Pearl back in September and as soon as I saw him in that movie I texted my friend and went "oh my god. He should be Superman!" Corenswet in Pearl embodies the kind and relaxed kind of Midwest vibe of Superman/Clark Kent. He's just a super chill dude willing to give people the benefit of the doubt. Corenswet is also incredibly handsome and tall. He looks kinda like Superman and to an extent Cavill. I hope they get him as Superman.

@@osanchez9436 they want to start with a clean slate and get away from Snyder's vision (personally I don't like Snyder's vision so I'm kind of on board with it). Having a new Superman with different writers can signal to audiences that it is a soft reboot. Then again, logically I understand, but soft rebooting doesn't mean just stripping everything back. If WB played their cards right, people can roll with Henry Cavill as Superman without getting hung over the first Man of Steel.

I agree getting rid of Henry Cavill was a big mistake (keep in mind I'm okay with the logic of it), but like Dylan stated, Gunn and company want to work with their own elements instead of someone else's. Tbh I'm pretty mixed about the DCEU right now, but I'm willing to keep an open mind.
