Yeah, this is why Doomsday Clock was a important book because Geoff John's talks about how people in WB and DC always find the need to change Superman. Doomsday Clock was a love letter about Superman in my opinion. Dr. Manhattan represents all of the pessimistic and nihilist type of people who are always in control over Superman.

Couldn’t agree more. I’m tired of all the deconstruction as well. Another thing that bugs me about Superman media is they always make Lois not know who he is. That’s one thing I’ll give Snyder credit for. He let Lois know early on. It’s made for great scenes in the animated movies. Like Lois mourning for him with the Kent’s in doom and then him coming out to her at the end. The dinner scene in the death of Superman is great as well. I just wish they’d start with them being married. Hell they’ve been married in the comics for the most part since the 80s.
I am tired of evil Superman too because we’ve been getting evil Superman way to much the past decede and frankly I can’t take it anymore, like I don’t get it why can’t we have Superman who has his wife Lois Lane and his 10 year old son Jonathan Samuel kent superboy like the tomasi Superman books in rebirth because that would be fantastic and tons of fun.

It even happens in the LEGO games lmao. Happens so many times in the comics too, even if it’s mind controlling or alternate universes it’s annoying, when the JL show did it it wasn’t too bad since it was still pretty original at the time.

I think you're the only other person I've heard say that Superman killing that guy isn't something you can brush off just because he's brainwashed. Just one person would be a big deal but the implication here (assuming they don't turn out to be clones or something) is that the entire JL are going around killing and destroying everything in Metropolis. That would haunt anybody but especially Superman. On top of that if they they don't actually die I'd imagine the public would hate them and superheroes in general after that.
Nothing should ever be the same in the Arkham universe after this and it actually makes me glad Gotham Knights is completely separate and I hope we stick with it. With the current trend though I wouldn't be surprised if we do get an Arkham Superman or Justice League game after Suicide Squad that deals with the ramifications of this story.
For real, we even had the Superman exile event after he killed the phantom zone criminals. His guilt would be a huge deal

It's like the super hero industry is hardly trying to put the good boys aside in the last decades. Batman is in everything, but Superman appear less and is constantly becoming evil, the same could be said about Wolverine and Cyclops. It's like "good guys are not sexy or interesting, who cares". Thank God MCU Captain America exists to prove the opposite.
I agree Superman being evil is overdone. But I disagree Superman in injustice doesn’t just snap because Lois dies it’s a big factor but you also have to realize you have Wonder Woman talking in his ear about dictatorship, plus when he kills the joker his best friend leaves him, and there are multiple factors but all in all I do agree evil superman is overused. Supes is my second favorite comic character but I would have to say the injustice and red son are the only ones that kinda pull it off...

Superman is currently my DC Hero for being a polite, kind, and chill guy despite being a very powerful person. He’s meant to represent the best qualities of a person. I’m just sick an tired of him being a plot device for good people gone bad. It’s not surprising anymore when it’s pretty much a trope.

He's their flagship and original character and while Batman keeps popping up in all sorts of media every year, they can't give Supes a proper sequel to MOS let alone a proper movie that explores his actual character in all his complexities (I know, Superman has complexities and doesn't just save cats and smile at the camera ?! *gasp*) in addition to a video game and animated movies but nooooo why take a risk and adapt DC wonderful library of fleshed out, complex characters when we could keep milking Batman and occasionally turning Superman evil.

I am sick and tired of the concept of evil Superman. It's like people don't appreciate good people like Superman, and the only way that people think they can make Superman interesting is by making him evil. Good people can be interesting without being evil. Superman doesn't have to be evil to be interesting. Superman is more interesting when he is good, not evil.
For the record, if Superman did lose Lois, it could break him. This is because Lois grounds Superman to his humanity, and she is the most important person to Superman. Superman loves Lois, and the greater the love, the deeper the hatred when losing that loved one prematurely. Love and hate are closely intertwined. I do however agree that Clark is Superman because of his upbringing by his parents, while Lois is further motivation for Superman.

I can get behind Injustice since Lois didn't just die, but also their unborn child, and Superman himself was the one who pushed them out into space (whether or not he would actually fall for the trick could be debated), and his city got blown up because of that. So I can definitely see that him being the to do in person despite not being responsible that he would take strict measures. And I'm also sure that if Batman didn't act like he did throuout the series, Injustice Superman wouldn't have turned out that bad. Not really good, but not as bad.
I feel like it’s gonna be less of a gimmick in this game. The gimmick of this game appears to be more that you’re the bad guys killing the heroes. It doesn’t really feel like they’re riding on the gimmick of “Durr Superman Bad”

Seems these writers are mentally-ill and want to write an ultra-violent killing-machine fantasy fulfillment rather than write Superman as he should be. What these easily-amused hacks don't seem to understand: the moment they explore this territory Superman can never be trusted as a hero again. Imagine living in Metropolis and wondering: "gee is today the day I become collateral from this maniac's emotional rampage?" I liked the idea that certain factions (not just Batmary Sue) would have safeguards for if Superman became evil, but they should never have reason to use them. I don't care if it is because of mind control or if it is voluntary; the moment Superman, a clone, or an impostor crosses that line someone is going to decide to put an end to Superman and the writers need to maintain that the benefit of Superman outweighs the risk.
Now the trope has spread to not just DC. Now the "Evil Superman" trope has been in The Boys and Invincible. I'm just tired of it...

Batman is my favorite fictional character & even I'm tired of seeing him in everything. At 1st, it seemed like WB & DC were turning a corner when Wonder Woman, the Suicide Squad, Aquaman & Shazam all got their own movies. Hell, even Birds of Prey. But with the announcement that Keaton & Affleck will be in The Flash, the Pattinson Batman, a show based on the GCPD in Pattinson's 1st year, MORE animated films & Gotham Knights, I'm deflated.
Yeah. It’s like they can’t write for their other characters. It’s always gotta be Batman. This is why Marvel is winning over them. They don’t use the same hero all the damn time and always makes sure that more heroes or characters get the spotlight.

First thing I noticed. Also, just think of this: Superman fans have been waiting FOREVER for a decent Superman game and have gotten nothing but the shaft. When some great Batman games came along there was a bit of optimistic anticipation that the best publisher of licensed superhero action games might make a great Superman game. It was even confirmed in Arkham Knight that Superman and Lex Luthor are around. We’ve had the Injustice games but they’re fighting games so they have to change the characters in order to get them to fight each other on a whim. After waiting years, Rocksteady confirms it’s not a Superman game. Ok, whatever, we’ll just enjoy whatever it is they do. PLOT TWIST: it’s a SUICIDE SQUAD game where Superman is evil and you have to kill him! You now not only can’t play a good Superman game, you also have to see what the character model would look like if you DID get a good Superman game! It’s such a freaking tease. But hey, at least you’ll always have Superman 64 to fall back on. And the fact that it’s Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League means that everything I just said about Superman? Yeah, that goes DOUBLE for EVERYONE ELSE in the Justice League that will never be in another AAA action game.
Blame it on the postmodern superhero deconstruction. It only worked in the ‘80s with Moore and Miller and now it’s just overly edgy, overly pretentious shlock that is actually very cliché but in a way that isn’t self aware or charming AT ALL. The genre has gotten stale and it’s just as played out as the superhero genre was in the ‘80s when it came along. Look at how many times a good character has been presented as a bad guy or a bad character a good guy in the past 30 years and you’ll start to see a pattern, and you won’t be able to unsee it. Even right down to calling Harley Quinn the fourth pillar of the DC Universe, putting her right below the trinity in the DC hierarchy even though she’s literally Joker‘s Robin but they want you to ignore that about her now that they want to flip the script and make her a protagonist. It’s like we’re constantly telling Earth-Three stories where bad is good and good is bad. Actually an accurate summary of the world right now tbh

As a Batman fan I didn't really care about the character of Superman until I read All-Star Superman Superman Birthright and Superman All American and watched Smallville TV show( I haven't finished it yet) it's a waste turning Superman into he's evil cliche trope. just because that stupid quote of absolute power corrupts absolute people being applied to that character. Honestly outside of TV shows I feel Superman does not get any justice in live action movies. and as much as I'm happy to see the new Batman movie it's frustrating everytime wb make some bad movies they easily reboot him but won't give Superman the same treatment.

How exactly?
On the one hand you have the company of warner bros and dc who both constantly mismanage, misrepresent and poorly handle the character. What work they do put out either lacks effort in trying to be groundbreaking and give a reniasance for the character to encourage people to like him. Or applies the worst kind of representation imaginable, butchering everything that makes the character who he is for either shock value or to make another character like batman look superior to him.
On the Other hand, we have millions of haters worldwide who hate the character, either because of his iconography, the fact that he might be more powerful than their favourites or because they barely know the character and are quick to judge him by hearsays, stereotypes and the poor representation that is constantly put out.
No decent video game in sight, zero talks of a good standalone movie on the horizon, no animated series to encourage kids. We are getting a show from cw, but considering their track record with the arrowverse incarnation of the character, cheap budget, lackluster storytelling not to mention the pandering to SJWs they like to do, what is there to look forward to for the character in that show?.
