    Tbh custom recovery is like skipping hard levels 😂

    • @solanumtuberosa
      @solanumtuberosa 10 месяцев назад +2

      True, much easier with custom recovery. Screwing up via fastboot method means you have to restore everything via a fresh firmware flash.

    • @munchy_cool
      @munchy_cool  10 месяцев назад +7

      you should know the hard way as well ..thats how devs root it and get the info they need to make custom recoveries

    • @solanumtuberosa
      @solanumtuberosa 10 месяцев назад

      @@munchy_cool not really. Most device trees are publicly released on github by the manufacturers themselves. For those unavailable it is a pain to compile from oem firmware so devs don't do them anyways usually.

    • @munchy_cool
      @munchy_cool  10 месяцев назад

      which OEM has released device tree other than Google? wonder why lineage or PE devs have to wait for kernel source before creating a device tree for a device ...

      @solanumtuberosa 10 месяцев назад

      @@munchy_cool well, I have only used xiaomi and sony and they released them so I guess I was spoiled on that end. Guess other manufacturers were that open minded on custom rom developement yet.

    2 Things:
    #1: I got an error "Fastboot Partition (init_boot) Not Found" when I went to flash init_boot on my Pixel 7. This was fixed by updating my adb version, I had an old version on my PC.
    #2: If you dont know already, rooting may break certain apps that require safetynet such as banking apps, also Netflix and some others. I downloaded the latest safetynet fix from XDA forum for Android 14, but it only gives "Basic" integrity, not "device" or "strong" integrity. Hopefully this can be fixed in the future.

      yeah, tried tried all 3 regions same issue, that is boot loop when there is the G logo with a progress bar beneath it. I did make it work somehow. To make it work here Is what i did
      1. once you get the boot animation keep pressing the volume down key.
      2. This will boot you into safe mode
      3. Reboot from safe mode
      4 . you will boot normally into your OS.
