Ive been trying to find a place to post my web comic and still haven't decided, I like webtoon and I read a lot of stuff on there but going through the terms of service and rules I dont like the idea of them owning my artwork once I post it so I'm not using it.
Don't do it. Webtoon is great to make a big audience, but the censorship is horrible!! I am currently publishing an adult comic in there, and I have to censor absurd things. They even censor me the censor!!! (The censorship must be in a certain way) it's horrible
I am still thinking about writing digital mangas before I can create physical copies of them. I may have to create my comic publishing website to self-publish instead.
Hey man I just read all the comics on Webtoons. I enjoyed them thoroughly. And the part with the frozen people did read a lot differently than how it was showed on comixology. Anyways keep up the good work and I promise to pay you back after I graduate from college and get a real job.
guided view is the only thing that makes digital comics readable. The problem isn't guided view, it's that everyone is stupid and doesn't know how to set it up on their device properly. You have to go into the settings of guided view and tell it to show the whole page first, then on a swipe go into the individual panels. then on exit of the page you can also have it show you the whole page again (if you want, I don't think that is needed).
I hate the fact that cause not only are they not properly paying legitimate managakas for their work but due to the system of how people make money (or none at all) well start seeing a flood of fake artists from china and india hitting the sites in droves. Some of this is already starting with poorly made ai comics not that I'm saying ai cant be useful to artist during a time crunch like editing your scripts for clarity or you need a street view for one screen and cant find a reference anywhere but it shows when someone uses ai entirely to create their work and is driven entirely by profit. I've come across at least 3 of such comics and they're god awful. Unless they do something soon, which of course they wont until it's too late as they still get paid as long as people are visiting their sites and downloading the app people arent going to keep coming back
Ive seen ppl lock their comics behind patreon. Ive contemplated making a patreon just for that purpose but i also hate the idea of locking a story behind a paywall.
Thank you for your insights and user experience. I feel like with the issues of getting meaningful feedback might be resolved better social media/ a website since that's more immediate, but I definitely agree and can see your point about it being frustrating not getting a better community-based system. Great video!
14:55 I agree, man! Hahahaha Thank you so much for this video! It helped me to know a little bit more about these sites and how they work, in the view of an author, which is what I am too. Which site are you publishing your comic nowadays? Cheers! Best of luck to you!
While it's not saying alot that seems to be where I get by far the most views and subscribers on my comic Left Hand Rule over the years I've used it so it's definitely one I'd recommend.
Lol this guy sounds like me at the beginning of video, READ MY COMIC, I understand man, I say the same thing about my comic/ manga, but people just was huge signed stuff lol
Thanks for the vid, appreciate the info. Even tho this is an unscripted vid, the production and content is great. Especially the audio, what kind of mic is that?
I want to be a full time comic writer, but I can't draw people AT ALL. But I'm not sure where to publish it. Most comic companies care more about politics. But I wouldn't know where to start for self-publishing.
I can draw comic stuff and am still trying to improve. I can write, however I don't think I have knacks for those. I'm more of idea or concept dude rather than writer. Trying to search a website where the ownership of the work is mine, if you get what I mean.

Damn, I am in the same :(
Hmmm,..I understood that they never own your artwork.
If you let your work copyright, they own nothing...
I think if you've become a certified creator in webtoon they might limit you? Or of its just canvass you have nothing to worry about

Thank you! No need to pay me back though, the fact that you read and enjoyed my comics is all that matters to me.
Well I guess if the game dev thing doesn't end up working out I'll look into web dev for comic distribution.
Also jack your RUclips RPM is like three times higher than mine, lol.

Thanks for the info Jack, I aspire to be a comic maker one day and this is really helpful.
This helped a lot. I think I’ll give webtoon a try. I want a place to publish for fun and see if I can grow an audience

I prefer Tapas. Just cause i like reading my own work and i like their format for uploading. Quick and easy png

Let's make our own, dude
Honestly.... at this point im ganna use artstation for my webcomics.
Well, don't think that's a good idea anymore.. :(
@@Clockweiz how about video comics on RUclips. You can even use the membership feature to make more money
@@Dsmooth753youtubeHave you considered using ComicFury?
@@Dsmooth753youtube I had thought about that, maybe just panning comic panels for a dramatic effect?
I like the virtual comic-book-like stripe in the middle of your hair (nice touch)

Inmost definitely yes
All you need to do is get a gang of mad people like yourself, and you will be able to create your own Oasis.
Thanks bro, I have a finished comic book and been looking into possible platforms to publish on.
Great video, I started to realize you need a big production, And need to get into the industry
I check your webtoon you need more support
And thx for the vid I’m currently working on my webtoon comic
I like your content.. I went to know more about you but there was nothing in your bio. Still subbed but you need a bio.
not all of them are bad there is comicfury its like smackjeeves but kinda oldschool.
Good stuff man… I’ll keep reading what you make
Can you publish in more than one place? Like webtoon and more?
Yea it’s your work
Lol this guy sounds like me at the beginning of video, READ MY COMIC, I understand man, I say the same thing about my comic/ manga, but people just was huge signed stuff lol
Which is the better option to post webcomic?
ComicFury. If you want a site that’ll not be corporate or all just trash romance. I suggest that!

ok
Just messaged you about a new comic idea
Hi man I would like to talk to you more about art stuff maybe if you interested making a comic with me if interested
I'm handdrawing my comics right now. Good old pencil on paper. Does it work to post thoose on Webtoons as well?
I would assume so, I don't really know for sure since I do all my comics digitally. But I think if you have a decent scanner it should be fine.
I follow one that's done traditionally, so there's definitely an audience for it. No idea how big said audience is, but it's there.
@@lalas181what’s the name please I need to know
Webtoon has some good stuff stop capping
Too bad the tread there creators like trash
They are allowed to have a opinion
are you busy making comics and so that is why there is no content or are you done making contnent.

@@whyvern6817 Same. I saw how a comic script is made. Way more complicated than just writing a story. 😳

Why.
Chill out kid🤦♂️
comicfury is the best hands down.
