As an Indian I will say. When writing on Hindu culture it's better not to touch the gods and definitely don't look at weastern understanding of our gods. Ragnorok's biggest mistake was they picked Lord Shiva . He is one of the supreme god in Hinduism. One of the Trinity. His position is of destroyer. He is depicted as calm and poised. His 3rd eye stay closed bcs it harbours the power of destroying whole universe. Even gods and asur immensely respect him. But Ragnorok ,made a mockery out of him and not just him but his whole family. *Face palm*. When his family is also of equal importance. There was nothing that resembles him and they turned him into random anime weirdo. 🙈 If it was Lord Krishna it might hv worked bcs he has mischievous personality. But still it requires improvement. I was cringing so hard watching the clips that r available on yt. Although I am not at all religious and open minded towards anime. But even I couldn't stop the second hand embarrassment. I will suggest if interested in Hindu mythology and culture then instead of big gods. Go for minor Devs/gods. Eg- Agni Dev(fire), Varun (Sea and water), Chandra (Moon), Indra etc. Better will be to go with mystical creatures like Yaksha ( gurding sprits), Nagin (the serpents who can turn into humans and carry a precious gem on head), Apsara, Garur (half human half eagal) etc.
I heard so much good things about Vinland Saga, I need to check it out! Also I agree about the Ai topic. It would be great to have creators work along with Ai instead of being replaced but it!
What can a artist expect in a webtoon contract per chapter??? I am artist/author working on a webtoon aiming and confident that I can produce a original webtoon level quality ! Is it worth my time I also wanna make money what can I expect?
Well, I wouldn’t touch anything remotely related to any real life religion tbh. Having religious people in my close family has taught me that. It could turn scary really fast.
About hindu gods and ROR SHIVA as a character was fine but was unlike any description we've seen.. See The mythology guy's video he's not even hindu or Indian but just knows the basic lore .. Shiva is supposed to be the all powerful but calm God who if snaps(mind you it happens rarely like when his wife burned herself due to mental torture from her parents) shit goes down.. He's supposed to destroy many universes and the first thing born zeus according to his own myth was born way way after the world was formed and is planetary at best
