Koreans distinguish between manga and manhwa, but Japanese people don't know what manhwa is because most Korean comics are not translated.Webtoons are known in Japan, but I have never heard that they are read more than manga in Japan.Japanese manga has more diversity in stories, genres, and drawing styles.There are some interesting webtoons, but they are very few and far between.

The story development in a webtoon is much slower than that in a Japanese manga.

I still haven't seen a non Japanese person publish a successful popular manga. It doesn't matter where the inspo's from. Can't you see? You can make as much manga as you want no matter where you're from, but if you publish it in Japan, what will be the result? Will you be able to see the fruit of your effort? Will it be turned into an anime? Will people want to read/watch it?

Yeah, I would never co-create with anyone. I refuse to rely on people. But I have no issue with other people doing it.

I’m not gonna lie, with the not so savory side I’ve discovered about webtoon over some time, my will to show any support on that platform, not to mention my willingness to even try producing my own work as an aspiring author, has dwindled tremendously, and I’m finding myself liking them lesser by the day. However, that’s not to say that your hustle to make this doesn’t motivate and/or inspire me, because it does 🙂 I hope for nothing other than it all goes up for you and your team from here

I think manhwa storys are basically all the same. Most of the protagonist have black hair and they show of how "bad @ss" they are, and i think that's something very annoying about manhwas.
