Arrow Really glad you keep vlogging about your webtoon experiences and anime making! Keep it up Brandon! I'm definitely on the journey myself so I want to keep growing with others in this community.
has becoming a mangaka changed the way you criticize other works? I really feel bad now for how much I used to roast clearly talented figures like Gege when I realize just how much work goes into drawing, let alone storyboarding/writing...Maybe the story lapses can be forgiven....
I am critical of things I understand. Story, flow, characters. Things like taking hiatus , health, feeling rushed by fans, pushed by editors, I try not to be critical & instead be empathetic.
Arrow! Ive been long conceptualizing my story and haven’t really gotten into making it but i dont regret holding of on it because I’ve learned a lot. I’m now trying to better solidify my reasoning for wanting to go on this journey of an author.
Arrow!” This is super inspiring. I have a story I’ve been typing for months only on chapter 6 with characters concepts. These past few weeks I hit a creative block but I’m trying to get out of it. @bawtrawt377 I've rarely heard authors who've achieved success through manga and comics explain how to find and establish a relationship with an legit artist...
@@slimsavage5436 mhm, I’m just now taking my story writing journey seriously. Ngl, I kinda just wanna draw myself, paying others is not in the budget or dream. Good luck to you! Btw, have you written a story?

Arrow. Hey quick question, how do you select the artists you work with ? I mean, I'd love to partner with you someday in the future 😅 i love your stories
Hi there. Any advice for a starving manga artist? I'm an African American that resides in California, working for a government job within a cubicle. My job robs me of my energy and time to work on my manga, and I've even gotten in trouble for sneaking in panels while at my cubicle (multiple....multiple....multiple times). I haven't quit my job yet because it's the only thing paying for my house bills (and being a home owner in California is beyond expensive.....so I need this job). I've been working on a horror manga story for about 2 years so far. I've shown it to alot of people in town, and all of them are saying I need to just publish my work on webtoon already. I haven't done this yet because I'm honestly way too nervous to do so due to the first half of chapter 1 (which still isn't done yet) having mediocre art at best (bad proportions, no backgrounds, no coloring, and none of this is digital). The other half of chapter one has much better models, shading, and even backgrounds. I'm worried if people on Webtoon wont bother to read the story because of how messy it looks, despite the narrative being engaging (according to the people I've shown in town). I don't want to be doing taxes for the rest of my life, this is my true calling. I just know it. How do I ensure that I am successful in taking the path of a webtoon manga artist with the obstacles in my path? (My honest biggest obstacle is my job being my only source of income to pay for my house mortgage, insurance, bills, and CA taxes. If I were not tied this job, I would commit to my craft full time).
Was it hard for you to quit drawing and focus only on writing? My dream is similar to yours. I want to become a great mangaka and inspire others the way my favorite authors have inspired me. Sometimes, though, I struggle with self-doubt about my art, and I feel like giving up. But at the same time, it’s impossible to imagine letting go of a dream that means so much to me. I guess Bakuman inspired you to be a writer for an artist who can bring your story to life, right? How did you handle those moments when you felt unsure about yourself?
Where do i go about it? I have a story completed and art concepts, i am on and off drawing it, but my work life sucks me in. I would love to complete it. I started it in 2016. Its been almost a decade.
How would you just write and make others draw? You pay them? Or make a revenue share deal? In the early project there would be no gain at all and probabily you would be broke How can a creative make it?
I'm new to trading, and I've lost a good sum trying out strategies I found in online tutorials. I would sincerely appreciate any recommendations you have.

You can clearly criticize any story apart from the production/author. But you can also do it without “roasting” it with harsh words and such

Arrow, would your studio take on a follower’s project for their Webtoon idea?
Seeing as how you have a project going on I doubt it but how do you create a team? Would you take in a few select people and make them a sub team?
