HOWEVER I wear layers and layers of pants underneath that hem, and pose maybe 15-25 seconds at a time before I (or an assistant) put on my thick jacket and gloves to warm up. Mostly because none of us want me to get sick. but also because a model's fingers get real red when they're cold, and that just doesn't look very pretty. The day before she got to the competition she lost contact with her family and last she heard they were stranded on a bridge with water rising around them. @@shelbyc7285 I mean , but they didn't actually have to abuse the models just because in the real world they might not always be treated right , that's like spreading awareness for safe s*x while showing people practising unsafe s*x like it's unethical and soooo hypocritical

    • @minafra1717
      @minafra1717 3 года назад +14

      @@shelbyc7285 You are naive if you think that's how that works , they were young girls willing to do anything just to achieve their dreams and ANTM gaslighted them and manipulated them into thinking this is okay , and that's how everyone in the industry works just to get some type of reaction. Maybe they don't know the risks and were naive and rightfully so people seem to actually forget hypothermia is a thing. These girls were insulted just because they wore their hair wrong. Imagine how they would tell on them for not doing that. It was definitely emotinal and physical manipulation. They were taken advantage on just for some ratings if you watch other episodes you can clearly see what i mean. The production could have easily avoided this situation , and no crushed dreams , no insulting and no hypothermia

  • @kylalyk

    You're exactly right about having a coat right there for when Jay says, "We got the shot." If you're shooting in cold, you need coats & sweaters nearby.
    It also would not have been difficult or expensive for them to do this with fake ice & snow so it could be warm for everyone.

    • @tomorrocat
      @tomorrocat 9 месяцев назад

      Once again, I can't help but compare and contrast this with the British version, where they do exactly that, always have a blanket on the ready to wrap the girls in if they had to shoot anywhere cold, which yes they did make them do at times unnecessarily so, it's still a reality show gotta have the drama, but not with this level of sadism and lack of compassion!

    I’m Canadian (and my family is Scandinavian) and am like “hell no” with this photo shoot. I don’t even like being outside when it’s below zero (32 in American). Much less in bikinis or whatever these ladies are wearing.

      Yeah, I’m Scandinavian and this whole thing was ridiculous. I mean sure, -6C is not that bad IF YOU HAVE CLOTHES ON, but they have them basically naked with wind blowing. Standing in that wind, it probably feels more like -10C.

      @@voodoomamajuju8485 lol. I went on a trip with a couple of my closest American friends. And was struggling to explain Celsius and kilometres to them when we were puttering around. Their outfits don’t even match the “icy” aesthetic, they could have the models look amazing without them being half naked. The pics also look hella fake, ANTM made them be cold for the pics to look like the ice is acrilic and they are in a normal studio

    Isn't it unfair that some have jackets on and some are in swimsuit only? The one at 10:55 has a jacket that seems pretty warm, I can imagine that it makes a big difference. Also the ones with dresses like at 13:43 could sit on the ice bench without having their butt touching the ice. The ones with swimsuits couldn't do that.
