For some reason the double surgeons knot doesn’t work for me very well. It tends to slide apart. So I do one surgeons knot and one to two regular knots (depending on the thickness). I feed the tails through a bead, one on each side and then add a drop of glue to the knot. I then cut off the tails.
Yes, quality does make a difference but it’s all in the pulling after you’ve tied the knot. And leave it for a few hours after you’ve put hypo cement on 👍🌼
@@WaistedawaybeadingbyMaryK You might want to look up a surgeons knot tutorial here on You Tube because that essentially what type of knot this is. After some people also apply a dab of jewerly glue to the knot to ensure a lasting hold. Hope this helps

I think I must be using a really rubbish elastic because I have yet to get one that doesn't come apart! Even with Hypo-Cement!!!
