Yay!! So glad it was helpful! Thanks for your lovely feedback 🌼
Here’s a really good tip:
If you have some super glue, preferably in a small tube, then sit that onto your knot, so that it won’t come undone
I use clear nail polish, works just fine too! (i use a surfeons not furst, for extra security, thej put nail polish! ^^)
Been wanting to make my own tila bracelets since theyre so expensive, this gave me some confidence :)
Excellent! Glad it was helpful 💫

Oh this makes me happy! So glad you enjoyed my video! Thanks for taking the time to share that with me 💫
I’ve tried so many knots but they all come open after a short time
Hope this one helps! It’s all in the pulling it tight after you’ve tied it. Good luck 🌻

After doing the square knot shown in video, knot the 2 ends together as you would knot a balloon, getting it as close to the square knot as possible.
Add a bit of glue at the end of the knot it will stop it from getting loose
Mine keeps popping as well
what i did when it kept breaking, put some clear nail polish and it was a bit more secure, i pulled it though while putting the nail polish. hope this helped a bit for some people whos bracelets keep breaking!
Yes that would work better than nothing! But nail polish/super glue can be brittle, the jewellery glue has a bit of ‘flex’ to it so is better but you can use other things if you don’t have any jewellery glue available! 💫🌻
@@knotqueen yeahh it also depends on the string! 💞
Hey Knot Queen! Awesome video and technique! Very concise & thorough, great explanations!
Thank you so much! So glad my video is helpful 🌼
I've watched many videos and that's the best knot for small beads! ❤ Thank you for sharing!

Tysm this help me a lot now I can finally make bracelet 😁😁😁
Excellent! Good luck 💫
Thank you for your tips
Glad my video is helpful! 💫
This really help me big time‼️
Excellent! 🌻💫
Thank you 🌸
To be absolutely sure I won’t loose beads in case the bracelet breaks, I take 2,5 times the length of a single cord and go though all the beads a second time (I’ve got a head stopper before the first bead, or the cord through it 3 times when I put it on the cord). When I tie the knots as in this video, I wrap it around the first cord too.
I use glue for the knot as well (Bondic dries in seconds with black light).
If a bracelet breaks, it’s never on the knot.
Good tips! 💫
thank you so much ❤
Thanks for this
Thank you!😊
Very were explained...thank you...
Glad it was helpful 🌼
Muchísimas gracias por compartir 😊
Glad you enjoyed my video 🌻💫
your video is useful
Excellent! 💫🌻
Great video - thank you so much. How many milimeters should a bead be, to be able to hide a knot inside?
Glad you enjoyed it! It really depends on the size of the hole, and size thread you are using. If you are using 0.5mm thread for example you need a hole at least 1mm wide to fit a knot made with 0.5mm thread. 0.7mm thread and 1mm thread knots are even bigger (usually about double the thread size for the knot) so really depends more on the hole/thread size, not the bead. Hope this helps 💫
Thank you so much for this video!
It was so easy to follow and also solved my problem of the bracelet becoming too loose while trying to tie the knot! I'm just starting out on Etsy and was REALLY struggling with the knots coming undone. This one actually feels sturdy!
Excellent! This makes me soo happy! Glad my video was helpful. These knots can be tricky! Quality cord makes a big difference too. Good luck with the new venture! 💫🌻
how much extra string do you usually leave behind for tying the knot?
I use 25cm of elastic! I don’t like to waste much! If you need a little extra to hold onto, 30cm will be good and only a little more waste. Good luck
Great!!!!
Thank you
Thank you for the video! Does this knot have a name? I've been using a surgeon's knot which seems to hold well, even without glue.
I don’t think it has a specific name, it’s a knot Queen special haha yes surgeons knot works well too! Glad it was helpful 🌼
I prefer crystal tec, bc its literally impossible to break! But ur opinion! But what do u use? Id love to see what you prefer❤
I love ‘stretch magic’ elastic. I’ve had some bracelets for 10 years and still going strong 👍
@@knotqueen amazing!! Keep on going love!
love it
Thanks so much!!
Edit: Can I use super glue instead of jewelry glue? I just don't have jewelry glue on hand. Thanks again
New follower here!! April from Southern Missouri!!!
Hi April! You can, but super glue tends to be a bit more solid/brittle than jewellery glue which has a bit of ‘flex’ too it. Good luck 💫
What brand of elastic do you use? It's incredible how much you pull it and it doesn't break😂
I know! I was sure it would break I’ve never pulled that hard! Super strong! It’s ‘stretch magic’ elastic. Can find in quality craft supply stores or online. Glad you enjoyed my video 🌼
❤❤❤❤
Thank you so much I just unboxed my first beads box I saw it was elastic instead of the one I use so every knot I tie breaks
Yay! Glad you enjoyed my video 🌻
Ooof. I'm learning that my fingers shake too much to be able to tie it like is. I just don't have enough control over my hands
I'm not sure why, but this is not working. I used 0.8 mm string and stretched it really good, and used seed beads and it didn't work. Do you know why? Thanks.
Did you take a lot of time/care on gently pulling the knot tight? You need to really make sure the elastic is pulled through the knot a little to lock it in place. 0.8 is getting a bigger size of cord and the bigger it is, the harder it can be. I’d try a thinner thread if you have any (0.5mm or 0.7mm) or some elastic threads are better than others. My favourite is stretch magic. Keep trying though! Good luck 👍
Any ideas of how to keep the beads from peeling whenever I make a bracelet the beads color would easily fade in no time
Need better quality beads. If the colour is rubbing off, they are just coated and not good quality. Try a quality glass or gemstone bead. Good luck 💫
Reef knot should do it.
It can, but for a more secure knot on elastic - more connections inside the knot are better 💫
Que legal assim eu não sabia 👍
Glad it was helpful 💫
Please suggest any other alternate glue...or if without glue is it secure
It is secure without glue if the knot is pulled tight and ‘locked in’ place. It’s all in the gentle pulling of the knot. Good luck 💫
@@knotqueen Thank you so much ma'am....Love you
Can i also use beads and not this type of braclet?❤❤
Sure! This is just to show the knot that works best 👍
Also you can buy copper plates and a crimp tool to secure the ties.
Can you share what mm and brand/type of elastic you're using? I can't seem to get this knot to stay secure with the thicker clear type (almost like a fishing line but stretchy) but the more elastic string type works better.
The bigger the elastic the harder it is to secure a knot. I use 1mm elastic for bigger beads but this is harder than 0.7mm elastic which I use for beads up to about 6mm. Hope this helps 🌻
im looking for that jewelry glue, where can i buy that?
Any good jewellery making supplies store should have it. I’ve bought it on eBay before in a pinch though! 👍
Walmart
I bought mine on Amazon!
A bit of glue or nail polish often helps it stay secure
how long should the string be? starting to make mine for the eras tour :)
About 25-30cm. 25 if you really don’t want to waste any elastic. Have fun 🤩
💖💖💖💖
🌻💜🌼
What kind of cord is this?
Stretch magic elastic cord 👍
0.7mm is the best or 1mm if you are using big or heavy beads 🌻
Can i glue it with a hot glue gun to?
This doesn't hold with 1mm griffin elastic cord. Are you sure it works without glue?
Sorry re reading that, I sound kinda rude, not my intention! You have the best video on how to do the surgeon knot, just wondering if you have any tips for knots that keep coming loose, even after prestretching the elastic and really working the knot to get it tight? Thanks
1mm cord is definitely harder, you really need to work the knot tight, pulling all the different angles. Take your time and be gentle but firm with the pressure. Good luck 💫
❤
Tysm I tried making a bracelet earlier and completely forgot how to tie them lmao
Glad I could help! 💫
Takes longer to make the knot than the bracelet😄
Haha it does! It’s the most important part 🤩
🌺🌺👍
❤❤❤
🌻💫🤩
I got like tiny beads they are so cute but i have 0.5 mm string. so when i tie it always doesn’t tie, any tips?
Try doing another layer of knots if the cord is super tiny! Make sure you pull it tight gently in between each layer 🌻✨
Hi. Thankyou for a really well instructed video.
Thanks so much! Glad you enjoyed it 💫
what thickness elastic do you use? :)
Depends what size beads I’m using. If the beads are 8mm or bigger I use 1mm elastic. Smaller than 8mm beads and I use 0.7mm elastic. Hope that helps 🌻
Hi what brand it used it? Tks
This is ‘stretch magic’ elastic cord. Good luck 👍
@@knotqueen thank You 😊
What glue is that?
Hypo cement jewellery glue 👍
بمێنی ڪەسم🥹🦋..
Hey do you know the size type of bead?
These are 4mm ‘seed beads’ 💫🌻
Will it work if its 2mm ?
Braclet tieing
🌻💜
That glue name ?
Hypo cement jewellery glue 👍
Мне кажется что эти бисеры они китайские😮😅😂

Just use super glue, it's simple 😂
Oh? I didn’t know it was like that.
