- Immediately after @BoredbrainMusic announced Xcelon , I knew it could have been the missing piece of my system : a versatile and, mostly, PLAYABLE modular mixer. Similar in the architecture to my other favorite, the Playdifferently Model1, the Xcelon allowed me to have the kind of workflow I love. Two aux sends ( which became 3 in my setup with a little trick ), stereo channels and a full cv patchbay.. what can you ask more?

Thanks for sharing, and it's great to see you enjoying Xcelon! Using the A/B mix busses and the returns so creatively is exactly why we built in such flexibility. Be sure to play with the pre/post jumpers for FX send 1 on the back, then you can send to the FX bus without going to either mix A or B. Are you refering to channel 6 with the delay? I've been setting my mixer up and wanted to see where the FX SND jumper would become applicable. Would that allow the 100% wet that you refer to and how would the fader work on that channel. Could you layout how that would also affect the send knobs for that channel, greatly appreciated🙏
I've got it too and it single handedly made modular feel fun for the first time in a long time. Also everything stereo all the time.

Niiice!! I've had my eyes on the mixer since it was first announced. I agree it check all the boxes, especially with the super flexible routing and long volume sliders that look very playable and expressive. I have a spot carved out for it in my rack. Thanks for making and sharing this! The dub sounds great!

I have the Xcelon for two months now and it awesome! It's a true performance mixer. And hey who doesn't want two stereo send/returns with individual attenuators for each, great for bringing in fx on all channels at the same time. Also the xfade mode on the channels is great for xfading between two mono sources. I use that a lot for balancing two channels. Choose wisely which sound sources to combine on those channels cause they share the same sends and should benefit from the xfade option at the same time. I combined the Xcelon with the Monitr module from boredbrain. Great duo.

Totally agree about the stereo EQ/filter expander. Per each Xcelon stereo channel, performance focused, with the same build quality and design, would make this mixer the best compact mixing solution ever made

Bello bello! First time I see some Eurorack stuff that really speaks to me. That mixer routing possibilities are reeeally cool, and considering the footprint quite insane actually.
Luckily I'm poor enough to have to stick with midi gear

Expander with post fade outs for each channel + fx could be nice for capturing stems (main selling point of bluebox)
Yes, this is possible. The different direct output expanders are coming soon, and you can choose which channels (also PRE and/or POST) you'd like to connect to them, including the main mix and FX returns.
Hi thanks for this as I can't decide on a mixer at the moment. I was looking at the PD Model 1.4, smaller than the one but it looks like it sounds great. Does the Xcelon have the glued type of sound the Model 1.4 seems to have? Or would you say put a golden master on the end of the Xcelon and it would give me that glued mastered sound?
Hi! Does Xcelon accept balanced signals? i.e. Can you connect the Rytm over TRS cables jack to minijack directly into Xcelon without issues? Thanks!

I think you could do that as well with a wmd performance mixer which is already available
