Just did this on my 2009 nissan Versa and it was the same steps exactly involved.
If you plan on replacing the whole unit with the motor, what you can do is cut the wire holding the glass and then slide up the entire window to get to the bolts holding everything in.
My window stopped work on the driver side and need to replace the motor. Is the process the same with a 2007 Sentra? I would assume the set up is a little different between the '06 and '07 models. I know the door panel is different...
The plug end on the window motor may have been wired in the wrong order. Sometimes you can take the wires out of the plug and reverse them. If this is a window motor that you have purchased from us, and you can't fix the issue, call our sales staff right away and we'll take care of this for you. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393
My Sentra has a different wiring connection to the motor. I have tried both 1Aauto’s regulator/motor and dorman’s. Neither one was compatible to mine. Talked to the nice folks at 1A and they seemed just as puzzled.
Same here with rock auto, did the research on images before buying but I got that rectangle plug when I needed the round edge square plug
Thanks for this! I had already bought my motor, but I'll put your site in my favorites and share on Facebook. I got it all back together, took it for a drive to celebrate and found that now my other windows don't work. I know I got everything plugged back in right, are they on a separate fuse that may have been blown? (I didn't unplug my battery - heh)

Great video, I'm in the middle of replacing my drivers side motor, I'm having problems with my window stuck up so I can't remove the screws, any ideas on how to lower my window? Thank you
Thank you for watching! if you cut the cable for the regulator it will free the window. At that point you can move it up or down as needed. Hope this helps!

What if our window is stuck all the way down and can’t the two bolts to release the window bolts
Just a quick question - I installed the replacement motor and regulator - everything went smoothly - the only problem though is that the switch (to raise or lower the window) is now reversed. Down is up and up is down. I don't think I reversed any wires during installation. There really no way to do that since all the connectors are dummy proof (no way to accidentally reverse them). Any ideas?
hi can you do a video of how to change the cable that looks like the cable that are used for the breakes on a bike the motor works fine but that cableis not totaly broken the cable is broken half way it have some wires broken in that cable and it looks not that is holding it from circulating in the motor so can i change the wier or i need the hole thing replace?

You should be able to reach in the door and push it up into place with your hand. If you can't, the window regulator cable might be broke and jamming it into place. You may need to free up the cable if this has happened. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393

My passenger side window would not move properly, how do I know which part I have to replace, window motor or window regulator?
You may want to take the door panel off to see if you can tell what or if something has broke inside the door. You may want to check the window regulator. Hope this helps you out.

What should I do in my case? So my motor is dead but the window glass is all the way down at the bottom, I couldn't pull up the glass at all since the regulator is holding it. Which means I can't even pull the glass up to the point where the bolt that holds the regulator with the window.
I have a 2008 Nissan Sentra and my driver window and lock switch wont work it wont even go down or up itsually works for a quick second when i turn my car on but then it stops. when i use the the switch to lower the other windows it works, also the lock swithch doesnt work!

my 2002 sentra's drivers door window is very slow and struggling to go up or down. is this the motor or regulator? also is the rear door motor and regulator the same, can i just swap them?
+hottubsteve Thanks for watching! You will want to inspect the regulator and the motor to make that determination. If it is just going slow then it will most likely be the motor. Unfortunately the motors are not interchangeable from front to back. like i said previously the window goes up and down very slow, now with colder weather it wont move at all, what would you recommend to fix this?

All of a sudden 3 of 4 windows quit working. Only the drivers window is operable now. Any ideas what could cause this? Seems unlikely that 3 motors died at once
Thanks for watching. It is possible the Master switch has failed. To test this you want to take the door panel off. Put a test light the the connector that plugs directly into the motor. When you activate the switch up and down you should have power at that plug in both positions. If you find power in one position but not the other, or power at all you know its the switch. If you find power in both positions then usually it is the motor. Hope this helps!

This is my son's car. Believe it or not it was just the switch which prevents passengers from operating windows. In this car if that switch is off not even the driver can operate them!!! Thanks for your response!

Hi. My driver's window got stuck to 3/4 of the way up and only moves a short distance. I have opened the door and saw that the cable which brings the window up and down has been partially cut thus preventing the cable to slide and roll freely. How do I proceed then to remove the window. Shall I cut the cable? Thanks

I have 2006 Nissan Sentra and I took my door panel and the installation off but my window will not move. I try to use my hands to lift it up and it will not go up. It seems like is it stuck. Any suggestions on what to do?

Mine wont roll up but will slide down. I have to turn the car off and on a few times to get it rolled up while my gf pulls it up loll
