Oh, yes of course. You're right. I mixed up the names, because i played a song called "castle in the sky" on my channel.

I shivered. I literally had goosebumps. Les Mis is one of my favourite musicals and when you can play a song with the violin so beautifully it's as if something is singing the song with their soul, you have succeeded tremendously. I would have loved to hear One Day more and a little fall of rain (which everyone forgets) but this is still AMAZING.

archeyangel1 and empty chairs at empty tables! I love that

    • @kl-1447
      @kl-1447 7 лет назад +3

archeyangel1 I think One Day More was cut out because it's kind of just a repeat of the various songs from earlier with different lyrics (but I love One Day More, but it's better with vocals because of the way the voices overlap, although the music itself also does that, and is beautiful). I would have liked A Little Fall of Rain and Empty Chairs at Empty Tables and probably more of Do You Hear the People Sing?

My first reaction: No Stars/Javert's Soliloquy?
My second reaction: pretty much every song in Les Miserables is awesome, and in a medley like this, unfortunately *something* has to get cut. You performed them all excellently, and I'm especially glad you managed to sneak at least a bit of Master of the House into this!

Ah. 1:50 . It doesn't matter whether it's live or a film, the musical adaptions always have such a jarring mood whiplash between the Thenardiers' scenes and the entire rest of the story lol.
I've loved this medley for years, such a perfect & seamless arrangement (mood whiplash included)!

Lindsey, I have a big problem....when I close my eyes, your violon brings me into another dimension, a world of very intense emotions, very profound love of life and gratefullness...and when I open my eyes and see you move, I just fly up in the sky...you seem so light, so joyfull, it brings me in a world of magic....Oh, I love you so much for being a messenger of god, you are a human angel...please continue to share that love and light

It's not really any specific thing; it's what happens when a musician feels the song, and they express how it feels in how they play it.
Her expressiveness in this video is genuine artistry. Simply amazing.

The difference between Lindsey and others is that she incorporates another "dimension of expression", so to speak. She not only is a master of facial expression, but dances with the tune, in a more complex manner than any other virtuoso/master had previously deemed even possible! As such, the doors she has opened for new kids to train in her steps will pretty much rewrite traditional theater and bring performing arts to a whole new level! :)

I don't know how I came so late to the game, but I just discovered Lindsey's music 2 weeks ago and I can't get enough of it. I had been saying earlier to my brother-in-law that I have been bored with music lately. Everything was just sounding the same to me and I just wasn't as inspired or moved by artists as much today as I once was. Well...that was then, this is NOW! Lindsey's music is amazing and I just wish I had listened to my wife all those years ago and watched "America's Got Talent." I would have found out about this amazing talent much sooner. Hey, better late than never. "Brave Enough" is my current favorite album and I am playing that thing out in my car while driving to work and back home. Great stuff. Keep up the great work. I hope to see a concert of yours one day Lindsey if you ever make it to the "BIG" city of Birmingham, AL. LOL! Take care!

And I really loved this tribute because I love Les mis and I love that she did phantom and I hope I find some more musicals that she did as well. I love the Christmas songs I just love everything she does it's something that just takes your breath away and something that makes you feel that tomorrow is going to be a better day. I hope this woman comes to the Pacific Northwest because I want to see her. ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️

It didn’t passed more than 2 minutes and I was at nothing to cry 😢 this medley is Beyond beautiful.... I love Les Miserables theatre 🎭 play and songs... I’m actually trying my best to read the complete edition book even though it’s divided in two books (together they are like at least 1900 pages) but I’m doing my best to read them and be more wondered by this masterpiece than I already am... congrats Lindsey for this medley of this beautiful work of art ❤️🌹

If I haven't already said this, here it is now.
I think this is probably the greatest and best thing I have seen you do to date. Course I may be a bit bias. Les Miserables is BY FAR my favorite of any and all musicals, play or otherwise, and among the top 5 of all my favorite shows of all time. And I would have to say that because of this you are my favorite musician leaving ALL other of my favorites far behind.
Thank you for doing this because I love the show and I love what you do. Keep up the great work.

Its hard to put the number 6.6 million in perspective, the number of subs Lindsey has. Its a gigantic number. If Lindsey Sterling were to meet 1000 of her subs each day, it would take her about 17.3 years to meet all of them.

When I saw the recent film, I had to leave the theatre. When Russell Crowe's character jumped off the bridge, they added a bone-crunching, ka-splatt sound for when he struck the ground. It was so melodramatic and comic, in a way I'm sure the filmmakers didn't intend. I couldn't stop from laughing and had to leave the theatre because I'm sure I was ruining the film for those who were, somehow, able to take it seriously.

Lindsey, your versatility, creativity, passion and expertise with a violin is nothing less than inspirational. It's plain to hear you play straight from the heart. I'm a disabled old curmudgeon that doesn't walk very far or very long, so I spend several hours a day surfing RUclips, a couple of which are dedicated to your music videos. In fact, I just listened to Celtic Christmas (God Bless Ye Merry Gentlemen) and being half Irish and half Scottish it was a thrilling experience. I play celtic folk on tremolo harmonicas (48 holes and 48 reeds) all tuned to a slightly different pitch to produce a vibrato effect, and I have plenty of time to practice, but I certainly am no pro. I have a C, A and a G that's on order, and if Santa is good to me I'll soon have a D and E as well. I would dearly love to hear you play The Gael (theme from The Last Of The Mohicans). I would play along with you till I blistered my lips up (has happened). My hopes are that you and yours have had a wonderful Thanksgiving and that you will have the merriest Christmas. I'll be listening.
