Of course it's good the show was made by a god 21st century punk and alternative rock from the band My Chemical Romance Gerard Way and on top of it has great music in the show
This track is actually kinda what sold me on it lol I was like “Oh well this is a weird use of Phantom, but I love it. I’ll keep watching.” Now it’s one of my favorite shows on Netflix.

I come back to this every month or two, and every time I watch it I’m just so impressed. The music is intense, and I’ve seen Phantom on Broadway, and this is so top notch. The choreography, scene changes and wardrobe changes, everything about this video is just rocking from beginning to end. Bravo!
I couldn't even pay attention to the beginning of Umbrella Academy because I instantly recognized this song being played. This is my complete favorite version of Phantom. The use of electric guitar is just absolutely awesome!!! I have been watching Lindsey's work for so long that I knew it was hers in the first three notes. Be proud, Lindsey!!! You're the real White Violin!!!
She may never break a string but she’s liable to throw a hip or back disc out!!!! She’s the most flexible, talented, agile, beautiful human alive!!!!!! ❤ Pure musical and dance talent.
Mallylonglegs They had us read that story in 6th grade and made us do a summary by recreating it in a short play. I love the book! You should definitely read it.
I remember when this came out and reminiscing on singing these songs with my Dad as a kid. Now, eleven years later, I still love it! Lindsey transformed something beautiful into something transcendent! Absolutely love it and will never stop loving it!!
I KNEW IT. When I heard this on The Umbrella Academy, I thought that the violin sounded so familiar, as though I was hearing the voice of a singer I liked. Lindsey Stirling's style is so easy to recognize
gosh i find myself only listening to lindsey stirling for the past 2 months strait, im wondering if im developing a problem, i bought myself a ticket to see her in san fransico just to confirm that she is real and can really play these amazing songs
Is it just me or does like al of Lindsey's music make you wanna get up and dance and let me tell you she looked absolutely gorgeous in every single outfit
It shouldn't be hard. Play with passion and play everyday be it professionally or casually or both. But do it every single day. It's how I learned to play piano.
I got inspired by her. I started playing the violin this year and almost immediately thought "Goodness, I can't it's too hard" then I saw her was like "WOW! I wanna be like her!" And started practicing every day.
I used to play the violin too, when I was 14. Now I'm 19 and she has inspired me so much that I wanna play again! I wish I can play like her someday, what with the dancing and the outfits and the musical melodies. It's all very inspiring!
@@Blind-Ghost-1980 I had completely forgotten about this, and the timing is spot-on. Unfortunately my studies caught up to me, and I haven't touched my violin in about 3 years now. However, just recently I've been strongly considering taking it up again and to me this is a sign I should.
the thing i really love about Lindsey- (besides her music) is she always gives credit to those that help her i wish my superiors would take a page from her
Who else was singing the lyrics throughout this? It's made up of most to all of the songs from the movie/play of Phantom of The Opera, snip-bits of each song. It's (Phantom of The Opera) my favorite movie and I've been watching it since I was 3 years old (I'm 15 now). This is amazing and she changed the songs while keeping them the same - similar enough that I could not only identify which song it was all throughout, but the parts of the specific song that she was playing. She is so talented. Hat(s) off to Lindsey Stirling.
it's a decent show on netflix. the idea is a group of people with powers raised together as a family to fight crime. but their adoptive father was distant and controlling, and they, being human, all have issues stemming from it. oh, and there is a rush to save the world. as mentioned above, Ellen Page, who plays Vanya, "plays" this song in the first episode.
This was my introduction to Lindsey Stirling, and I've been following her ever since, 1st Phantom is my favorite show ive seen it on Broadway several time and when I heard Lindsey's tribute, that was enough to get me hooked, 2nd I played the violin in school, I wish I was 1/2 as good
I love how she's always so passionate with every performance. You can see the fire and joy in her eyes and it's beautiful and just adds more to the music.
I watched Zelda, then Pokemon, & was led to this one, which I liked best of all. No wonder the video took so long to make--beautiful clothing/costumes, alluring makeup and masks, scene changes, not to mention the masterful explosion of sound--but so worth it! Never even heard of Umbrella Academy until I read the comments, so you're not alone! 😊
The 2548 dislikers are only jelous because of her talent:-) Lindsey is an amazing artist in several ways plaing violin and dance at the same time, i am sure most of us cant dace or even play violin and she does both at the same time :-) LOVE you go on this way wann have a 2nd Album

I can understand why Gerard Way would like this.
was going to like but it was at 420

I've seen her in concert and she is a huge MCR fan as well so i bet both parties were quite honored as they are both amazing!! also - see her concert she is amazing!!!!!

I cannot BELIEVE I just saw her perform this LIVE on Halloween in London at the Royal Albert Hall. 🤯 Best night of my life!
I just saw her in concert a few weeks ago and she played this as the encore. I’m pretty sure I stopped breathing for a minute. “Phantom Of The Opera” is my favorite musical.
É bom não é ...eu tb me perco ❤️
Hace años estoy perdida en la música 👩👧 🙇♀️
Literal, yo estaba estudiando y me re perdí xD incluso me maree un poco.
people: Umbrella academy
Me: eh? this is the phantom of the opera
My exact reaction when people say that to me
I agreeeeeee I like the show because of the Phantom starting it off.
I know right like PEOPLE ITS ALSO PHANTOM
Low key one of my favorite musicals? Plays? Idk but my favorite version is the 2005 (2004) movie
I think exactly the same, many know this work of art only for the netflix series. You should know the beautiful classic of the 👌
I remember discovering this in 2015 when I was a sophomore in high school and you don’t know how nostalgic I’m feeling since finding it again 😭
Piers Morgen:- “I don’t think people are quite ready to hear your type of music just yet”
Lindsey Stirling:- “I’ll show you who’s not ready”
👍🏻
It was Piers Morgan lol

The second I heard this on the Umbrella Academy, I knew the show would be good!
Pat Malia i was iffy at first but then Ellen Paige plays this and I was hooked immediatley

@@jm8640 yep!

Bravo!
I was watching phantom of the opera videos and I stumbled upon another angel of music.
THAT PUN XD
i see what you did there
Am I the only one who wants to see her cover "the devil went down to Georgia"?
I got to see her play it live, you should go to a show.
Oh to see her playing dueling violins
I wish she could cover it with Charlie Daniels
Nah the devil wouldn’t dare test Lindsey
I'd pay real money to see that. Old Scratch wouldn't have a prayer.
Plus, she keeps her clothes on.
Love 2023 and I love her to slay
Can we get Lindsey Stirling to cameo on the Umbrella Academy?
Should've been her playing Helen Cho
She actually would have probably been a good vanya
Also chuck ALW and the OG OG Michael Crawford please.
(Andrew Lloyd Webber, Original Gangster Opera Ghost)
@@sirnoname254 Right? When I heard the music and saw Vanya's silhouette, I thought it was Lindsey Stirling for a second.
Something kinda ironic about this: Christine's father was a very well known violinist

YES! I didn't even put that together! Have you read the book?
Jasmine Dancing Hands Nah my mom won’t let me read it until I’m 18. But I plan on reading it!

Lindsey Stirling is so awesome, even Prussia loves her.
The Cousin Collision you know it dude! Her skills are unrivalled!
Prussia Tamer umm, nothere are alot of people on par if not better than her.
Exactly the same here :)
gosh i find myself only listening to lindsey stirling for the past 2 months strait, im wondering if im developing a problem, i bought myself a ticket to see her in san fransico just to confirm that she is real and can really play these amazing songs

I WANT TO PLAY LIKE LINDSEY STIRLING
well then you have to train hard like she does
It shouldn't be hard. Play with passion and play everyday be it professionally or casually or both. But do it every single day. It's how I learned to play piano.
ThegamingWolf 2007 same!
Focus on the classical roots of the violin. This will train your ear like no other. After a few years, contemporary music will be trivial :)
My violinist idol is David Garret, partially because he speaks german, but I agree that Lindsey Stirling is at least as good as him.

How have you progressed? I've just started the basics. I hope after 6 years, you are still at it.
@@Blind-Ghost-1980 I had completely forgotten about this, and the timing is spot-on. Unfortunately my studies caught up to me, and I haven't touched my violin in about 3 years now. However, just recently I've been strongly considering taking it up again and to me this is a sign I should.

So I've been here a while, and I would like to know:
What is Umbrella Academy?!
I think they’re talking about that TV series “umbrella academy” from Netflix
It’s an amazing show on Netflix. You should really watch it. The opening scene for the show plays this song T the start
it's a decent show on netflix. the idea is a group of people with powers raised together as a family to fight crime. but their adoptive father was distant and controlling, and they, being human, all have issues stemming from it. oh, and there is a rush to save the world. as mentioned above, Ellen Page, who plays Vanya, "plays" this song in the first episode.
It's basically the X-Men if Professor X was abusive.
That explains the ad for the umbrella acadamy mask I've seen lately.
Lindsey always looks like she's having SOOOO much fun rockin out on her instrument.
The blue Yamaha in the club is borrowed, not hers. Bushwacker in the other scenes is hers, though. It's 100 years old
As a violinist I can confirm that it is very fun!
This was my introduction to Lindsey Stirling, and I've been following her ever since, 1st Phantom is my favorite show ive seen it on Broadway several time and when I heard Lindsey's tribute, that was enough to get me hooked, 2nd I played the violin in school, I wish I was 1/2 as good
Нет слов... простите. Очень трогательно! ... Фанат и рока и классики... просто зашло!
I love how she's always so passionate with every performance. You can see the fire and joy in her eyes and it's beautiful and just adds more to the music.
The way she plays the violin in the middle is so peaceful. I love this song.
anyone not here from umbrella academy and here for the video?
I watched Zelda, then Pokemon, & was led to this one, which I liked best of all. No wonder the video took so long to make--beautiful clothing/costumes, alluring makeup and masks, scene changes, not to mention the masterful explosion of sound--but so worth it! Never even heard of Umbrella Academy until I read the comments, so you're not alone! 😊
I came searching for electric violin music
I came here, two years later and I'm watching umbrella academy for a completely different reason, but it's still so good
