Ragebait and negativity farming has honestly become a plague no matter what game or subject you go to these days. RUclipsrs and journalists alike just can't help but manufacture controversy and drama, for the sake of that sweet engagement money they get from it. They have a profit motive to try their best to get us all upset at nothing. Internet users as a whole need to learn to spot the abusive pattern and not fall for it.
@@UnknownSquid Well said, and it's even sadder that players just agree without thinking about things for themselves. Hell, this is a problem that even extends to real life in general. AH designed a non-predatory game, and literally donated to support kids, yet these RUclipsrs and weirdos want to hammer negativity into this company. How often does that happen with these companies? It's those predatory AAA companies that deserve this negativity.
5:21 this actually equated to them donating money IRL to sick kids. We chose correctly, Helldivers. The mines those future Helldivers produce will more than make up for short term setbacks.
Fellow veteran ragdoller, I mean Helldiver here. Really like the way you view the game and appreciate it for what it is rather than complaining and trying to change it into something that it's not like so many other youtubers seem to do.
I have been gaming 37 years and Helldivers 2 is currently in my top 10 games maybe even in the top 3. It's a excellent blend of realism, over the top action and cultural references to every action movie that I have loved. Especially I like that anything new that is coming to the game is a surprise in the field. Still waiting when the tremors manifest as a huge wurm to eat me unless I'm on a rock. Every game has it's bugs and sharp corners but I can see myself diving for Super Earth multiple years to come.
The words "Who wants this planet?" come to mind whenever I see the battlefield covered in flames from fire tornadoes. I will report myself to a democracy officer.
They still keep moving towards you; if you approach them, they automatically start moving in your direction lol. What they fixed was the massive amount of tornadoes that appear during extraction. Sometimes it was simply impossible to stay in the central area due to the sheer number of them.
Its both hilariously fun and unbelievably cinematic. One of the most memorable "cinematic" points of the game when I played was when I and two of my friends were playing against Terminids. We had completed the mission and we were trying to collect samples, especially supers, and also collect all the other goods from the MPI's. They were withdrawing back to extraction and I was way ahead of them (we split up to cut the time and disperse enemy response and reinforcements). I had also brought the first Mech Type introduced in game as a stratagem. They were being chased by a sizable force of Bugs and I had one more mech left in strat inventory. I called it in, and proceeded to crest the hill/ridge side they were sprinting towards and, focusing aim, began to shoot over their heads and place well aimed and accurate covering and suppression fire on the bugs, killing spewers, hunters, scavengers, warriors and hive guards, and a Brood Commander or two. The ordnance and munitions spent were well used and gave them the opportunity to effectively break contact and catch up to my position and pivot towards the extract. It doesn't sound interesting when explained by word of mouth. But watching it unfold looks like a cinematic action scene towards the end of a major action plot scene in a film or AAA game. It was a very satisfying moment.
Just today, on a mining mission, I dove into the trench with the drill and hordes of autonomatons to finish the last sequence on a suicide mission. Three stims and one button press later, the mission was complete and my helldiver was dead. It was an epic moment for me, but still one of a few just in that mission. The better you get at the game, the better the game becomes. There are times for strategy and times for reckless abandon
Wonderful, better than the rage-baiters that keep on saying "the game is dead" and whatever the hell. It's only dead when NOBODY is playing it, and that is the definition people have been proving stupid about. Who cares that it lost 90% of players, it was bound to happen the same way as Lethal Company and other notable games that had the rage going for a few months until it all died down. And plus, around 40k players? That's just the norm count now, and the most needed the devs had expected during the release. Too many idiots want to say crap about the game because they themselves don't have lives, want the attention, are just complete haters, absolute brainrotters, etc. Liked and subscribed to ya!
