Amy Lee/Evanescence served as my first artist/band that I truly got to explore for myself. My hero and role model. I found Halestorm through her and also used her to deal with some of the worst people/experiences of my life. I’ve seen her 3 times in the last 2 years since I started going to concerts at 18. I am building my own little merch collection that I can be proud of. Her albums are daily CDs I play in my car. I love sharing interesting history with others about her or the band, anyone who knows me knows I am a huge fan of her. I am grateful she’s still going, so I can keep being a huge fan till the end❤.

Evanescence, Nickelback, and Linkin Park saved my life. When I lost my husband to diabetic ketoacidosis in 2014, the emotion present in Amy's voice in EVERY song allowed me to cry, rage at the unfairness of it all, and pulled me through to the light of the world again. I was suicidal and self-destructive for years. I'm still not through crying but I no longer scream through the pain.
