I saw this in my recommended even though I barely knew undertale at the time. I was filled with so much emotion, I ended up not committing suicide (well, I’m here today) and I just wanted to thank you. A video came up in my recommended recently that reminded me of this cover. She was suicidal several years ago and we emailed every day since we were literally on opposite sides of the world at the time. She sent me this song after she survived a suicide attempt, because it reminded her of the conversations we had where I was trying to keep her hopeful and alive. Now we're both halfway through college, she's working towards a career as a professional therapist, and I was at her wedding a few weeks ago. For years, the point we're both at right now didn't feel remotely possible. We still text each other songs when we're having a rough day. Things never get perfect, but they get better. They really do.

I stopped liking Undertale, because the fans got to be too insane. The emotion and everything in this song from you made me realize how much I love this game. It gave me real feelings and so did this song.

I got into Undertale a few years ago. Saw this song and many others. This was one of my favorites back then. I have heard other songs and heard Caleb sing others since, and just came back to Undertale recently. This came up in my feed. Hearing it again, I can safely say this is not only one of my favorite Undertale songs but also one of my favorite songs sang by Caleb. The way you express such strong emotion in your voice... it really does sound sincere. Like you're really on the brink of crying and breaking down. The desperation, the sorrow, the fear... you convey it all so well. What makes this song even sadder though is the fact that, no matter what you do, even in the best ending, Asriel can't be saved...

Caleb I don't know if you'll see this on a video from years ago. Been a fan and following for years now. After following you for years I am just now somehow discovering this cover and MY LORD. Your delivery of this song is perfect. Cried quite a bit, then read the comments and saw people putting it into the context of suicide so I re-listened thinking of my brother and sister in law dealing with some things and THE WATER WORKS POURED. I have never cried this hard in listening to any song and I just wanted to make sure you heard how much you moved yet another person with your voice.
This series is practically begging to be brought to audiences as a interactive live animated or even plain live action musical, and this man practically proved it right here. I waited far too long to play this game, and now that I have finished it, my heart is melting with every thing that I see from it. I will be playing Delta Rune soon. The truth is, this game really slammed my emotions in a way I was afraid to face. I had heard it would, I avoided it, because my life was in shambles at the time. I was not ready. I decided to start streaming, and I decided one day, this needed to happen, I will never be ready. It's changed a lot about how I percieve games, and how I feel about openly showing my emotions. I got into Undertale a few years ago. Saw this song and many others. This was one of my favorites back then.
I have heard other songs and heard Caleb sing others since, and just came back to Undertale recently. This came up in my feed. Hearing it again, I can safely say this is not only one of my favorite Undertale songs but also one of my favorite songs sang by Caleb.

This song is so damn heartbreaking. The melody is already really sad and nostalgic sounding, and your voice complements it perfectly! The way you express such strong emotion in your voice... it really does sound sincere. Like you're really on the brink of crying and breaking down. The desperation, the sorrow, the fear... you convey it all so well. What makes this song even sadder though is the fact that, no matter what you do, even in the best ending, Asriel can't be saved...

Caleb I don't know if you'll see this on a video from years ago. Been a fan and following for years now. After following you for years I am just now somehow discovering this cover and MY LORD. Your delivery of this song is perfect. Cried quite a bit, then read the comments and saw people putting it into the context of suicide so I re-listened thinking of my brother and sister in law dealing with some things and THE WATER WORKS POURED. I have never cried this hard in listening to any song and I just wanted to make sure you heard how much you moved yet another person with your voice.

The truth is, this game really slammed my emotions in a way I was afraid to face. I had heard it would, I avoided it, because my life was in shambles at the time. I was not ready.
I decided to start streaming, and I decided one day, this needed to happen, I will never be ready.
