It has been a WHILE since I've seen a cover requested so much xD I'm grateful, though, because it pushed me over the edge to actually record this cover. And with my main squeeze, Jon :P
It's crazy how similar all of our tastes our within this little community. I had that thought the other day heh. We definitely have differences, but when this song came out, it felt like all of you were like "YOU MUST DO THIS SONG ASAP!!" :D
It's exciting though! We love this cover, and we had a blast making it. Also, I'm sick from all the MtD and pizza that was consumed x)

This feels like the Disney protagonist trying to coax the villain to stop being evil and I love it
No, but now I want a movie where everything is completely serious, no songs, it's very serious, and then at one point the protagonist and antagonist are just staring at eachother and then THEY JUST START SINGING and everyone else in the scene are like 'dude what the heck'
I was thinking the other way around, it's the "villain" convincing the hero it's more fun to be the bad guy. Less rules and constraints, plus more money, and freedom to do what you want.
It's actually about convincing someone to help run a circus.

It's now my headcanon that this is how Caleb recruits anyone to sing with him.
Caleb seems like a naturally charismatic person. His hand movements are just perfect and so dramatic. He seems like a very natural actor. I love it. And these two sound so wonderful together! My favorite song right now.

I saw one of my friends drown theirs in ranch and then stab it multiple times with a fork before picking it up with said fork and eating it like a caveman devouring the meat off of a bone- but yeah this is pretty aggressive if you ask me 🤣

Have to admit, one of my favorite things about this video isn't just your vocal talents (pitch perfect btw) but how the filming was done all in one take. The choreography is simple in that it's only Jonathon who actually gets up from the chair to leave the table once for a few seconds, but the whole time it is this flow bouncing back and forth and the lighting manages to capture you guys perfectly and the camera focuses just right after moving from one person to another. It takes a lot to do something like this for 1 take and you guys managed it!
I love the simplistic type of video. These guys always to the best videos. You can focus more on the lyrics and music without all the stuff going on in the background. That being said, the meme ones are a scream.
