- A continuous mix 4 songs that basically are the ending / battle theme songs in the True Pacifist Ending of Undertale:
1) Hopes and Dreams
2) His Theme
3) SAVE the World
4) Last Goodbye
I was inspired by Elu Tran's video for Hopes and Dreams & Save The World ( • Undertale OST - Hopes ... ) and figured that since there are 4 types of this song, I wanted to hear them all and it works out quite well since His Theme and SAVE the World are continuous loops whereas Hopes and Dreams and Last Goodbye have endings and beginnings.

Why Undertale is a masterpiece:
- Beautiful music that perfectly fits the events to which it is atrributed to.
- Revolutionized the way we view RPG-s and RPG side characters.
- Makes you feel emtoins that very few games can make you feel

I'd argue that only the first point really fits. There are tons of RPGs with great, and well fleshed out NPCs, and there are tons of emotional games.
Undertale is good, but it has its flaws too, and emotional RPGs with good characters isn't a novel idea.

Something I love about these tracks is the fact that it uses real instrumentation.
The guitars, the drums, everything sounds realistic, instead of the stylized bitcrunched 16-bit music for every other track.
What a brilliant way to illustrate the final conclusive fight in the final fight for not just your life... But the world, and your friend. It stops being a game. It feels like so much more.

@@shikipatche no I did genocide was my first time playing the game but when I got to toriel I broke down into tears for killing her so I restarted and did a full pacifist run I never had feeling's with video game characters before but undertale for the first time in my life made me feel for game characters something that no other game ever did heck I'm 21 and played undertale for the first time last week and felt I don't know happy about a good ending with characters that we're too well designed to be from a videogame

It's definitely worth playing. At this point you probably have seen spoilers, but even then I'd recommend it.
Best thing is alot of the sound tracks use the same theme, pay attention to the similarities to hopes and dreams and save the world
I reccomend you play the game, at least download it from a youtube video if you cant pay for it, but this soundtracks are probably a spoiler, but not a spoiler that you can understand without playing the game like some death, this soundtracks are literally the soul of a character, and is like that with every boss fight, you can understand the personality of a character just hearing his theme (not the song "his theme", I mean the music during his fight)
I feel sorry for Toby.
The guy just liked Earthbound and wanted to make a small little passion project.
He clearly put a ton of work into it, but I don't think he ever imagined he was actually making one of the most important games of the decade.
The people that played this game first, the callused 90's kids turned adults who'd been caught between the advent of the technological age and the stubborness of the prior generation of baby boomers were disenfranchised and muddled by an increasingly sociopolitical world. I don't think it's an exaggeration to say a lot of people were either miserable finding out life wasn't like the cartoons they grew up watching and many of the people into highschool and college turned out to be piss excuses for friends. Everyone was and has been excessively bitter for a long, long time.
Then along comes Undertale and for the first time in more than a decade and a half, people suddenly remembered what it was like to be a kid again; to have that childlike sense of curiosity, wonder, and hope for what was to come. This game didn't explode like it did because it was "good". It exploded because it made people HAPPY. Not placated. Not bemused or distracted like 95% of games these days. "Happy".
Toby didn't know what he'd done, and I know shit sucked for him for a while. He went from being a fan of another franchise to a celebrity literally overnight.
But I'm glad it all happened. This game really was something special. Even with a cringe fanbase and the debate of just HOW great it actually is, there's no denying it did something right; something other game studios should be studying.
Toby, I wish you the best.

After the release of chapter 2, I think Undertale/Deltarune fanbase become less cringe and embrace the humor that Toby loves. I really enjoy my time on Deltarune subreddit right now. Undertale Fanbase has the best character development (I don't see much drama on the subreddit so this is what I think, correct me if I'm wrong)

@@zeatu7949 toriel and papyrus could recognize you after resets- flowey and chara are the only ones who can fully remember resets (flowey's exception are true resets). everyone just has this sense of deja vu, which includes sans, and he uses that deja vu (with the help with his observerance) to his advantage during the genocide route.

If you close your eyes real hard and imagine, all these songs summarize the fight with Asriel as a whole. You get confronted by him, you hold on to your determination, you save your friends, you manage to touch with his feelings, you bring love back to his heart, you turn him back to who he was, he apologizes, brings the monsters back, shares a last hug of goodbye and leaves so no one would see him become empty and emotionless once he becomes Flowey again

One of my favorites things about Last Goodbye is that you can hear the clicking of the piano, making you feel the heart and soul put into this game and it’s soundtrack
this was ALWAYS my favorite boss battle theme bc it sounded NOTHING like how id expect a boss battle theme to sound. its not intimidating, its not scary or foreboding, its so deeply hopeful and so certain that love will win amongst all else. its an anthem for peace, forgiveness and understanding. toby fox knew EXACTLY what he was doing.

this game is really the best of the best. i might be late to this video but i really hold this game dear to my heart. after everything really this soundtrack is amazing and so is the game. the storyline, plot, friendship, choices you need to make, deciding to be a good or bad person. deciding if you want to kill everyone or be friends with everyone. i think if you really play it and go after the storyline its really awesome. , its really heartwarming and wholesome and i hope all people that have played this game and still play it or just played it i really hope it is never forgotten. but when it is i hope all teens, kids or even adults dont forget.
all love to toby and his passion to make the game UNDERTALE, Deltarune chapter 1 and 2 i mean its really amazing.
