    I think you should take that keystone shaped rock and plant it vertically exactly at your estimated high water mark when you are ready to leave the job. Make sure you get a good four feet of the fat end down in the dirt. After it rain washes for a year or so it would be a good conversation piece for the folks in those houses in the background. I guess you should bounce the idea of the owner first. sdh in CT

      Farmers and ranchers use them to irrigate crops and for animals to drink from. Fishing is popular too, and I plan on getting me a pond for just that. No status involved, as I hope nobody ever knows where it is. :D

      A lot of the time the number one factor in cleaning out ponds is cost. Most don't have the money to clean out a pond. Its expensive paying someone to do it.

    • @nickbeam5432
      @nickbeam5432 4 года назад +1

      @@jacobrowland9134 Never seen a farmer go half in on any project for the lack of money most are wise enough never to start something that can't finish !

    • @TrevorDennis100
      @TrevorDennis100 4 года назад +1

      The farmer might be thinking it not worth it with so little rain and the pond so shallow, but what he has now is a pond within a pond that he can pump from. Plus with less surface area (assuming the silt dries in the rest of the pond) there will be less evaporation.

    • @jacobrowland9134
      @jacobrowland9134 4 года назад

      @@nickbeam5432 It may be that because of the silt his pump inst working properly so he is cleaning just that area so he can keep using the pond.
