- BLUE, you're my BOY! I finally was able to get a new convertible top for my Mustang... It definitely needed it! Huge Thanks to Tommy at Sunrise Auto Upholstery for making it happen. Its Amazing!!!
PS. Since Jackie cleverly evaded the camera the whole trip, I realized it appeared as though the girls were unattended! 😱 I figured I better mention that the kids were supervised and safe the entire time! 😁

Fox bodies are timeless. Miss my 89 GT. Someday I’ll have another. Whole stock pile of NOS parts I collected years ago still.
There's nothing more exciting than finding a brand new OEM part for your classic car! Lol. 89s are my favorite year.
Same for 89. Last year for no airbag, first year of MAF, still has an armrest and 140 speedo!
@@Chrisw678 yep! Plus it still had the tilt steering wheel and no saggy map pockets. And not to mention the idiot light cluster on the GTs (which I installed on my lx 😋. You can see em at 9:51)

Great minds think alike! I drive a 98 XJ every day and have a calypso 93 5.0 coupe that I've had for 22 years. Best two vehicles ever made, XJ's & Fox bodies!

Nice!! Got a 91LX vert myself, super clean. Someone painted mine black. Still looks ok but the original color is Twilight Blue. Love that blue on yours too. The Twilight Blue is a little darker. Can’t wait to paint it back one of these years. Always welcome more Fox content.
Twilight blue is one of my favorite foxbody Mustang colors. I wanted to paint blue that color but ended up staying close to the original regetta blue. Thanks for watching!

Project Dan H ..... Definitely. We were about to put a supercharger on it last summer but I wasn’t quite ready for 700 HP 😀. Next for the Stang is a cat back exhaust coming soon. Will make a video of the install.

My first car was an 89 lx hatch. Huge soft spot for foxes. Have some parts for sale if you need anything.

Project Dan H I think all the interior parts have sold but I will check. Have a stroked 5.0 long block, stroked 5.8 short block, 351w swap headers, mafs, intakes, brand new engine wiring harness, wide bands, battery boxes and relocation kits, driveshaft safety loop, sn95 spindles, OEM tank with plastic cover and new straps/hardware. I have an SN95 convertible now.

Those damn ashtray covers - what a horrible design. This was fun to come across. I've started on my 1991 5.0 convertible. It needs a full restore, however mechanically it is insane. The guy I bought it from use to race the car here locally. It is scary fast. Although it has the stage 2 clutch, which I hate so that will be coming out soon...

@@ProjectDanH Not sure yet, a regular clutch though. This stage 2 clutch is hard as hell to shift ha.
Tops aren't easy to do...my brother and his friend did 1 on a old Oldsmobile convertible ....it was one of those JC Whitney kits lol....he said it was a PITA
Lol.. I could imagine! I changed my own back glass in like 06. It's wasn't too bad. I'm sure I could get the job done if I Wanted to so the top... I just wanted it done right! Lol

Nice little car. So humor me. I came of age at the end of the muscle car era. They were everywhere. I remember a Plymouth Superbird sitting in a used car lot on the main boulevard near the house I grew up in. Then the 80's happened and cars all got boring, weak, and small (thanks gubmint). But there were anomalies like these little Capri/Mustangs with huge engines, which I just thought were sort of funny. So, why are "fox body" cars now such a thing? I seriously don't get it.
The Fox Body has always been a thing to me. It was the ONLY muscle car of my time... and now they're finally going up in value
