My wife and I were watching a bunch of your videos and noticed we are camped on the left just before your camp in this one! My wife was out picking rocks when you drove by on the bike! Great Spot! We were in the Chevy g20 class B. We hiked into arches from our campspot. See ya on the road!
Thanks for sharing the great information! We're heading from Arkansas to Utah this summer and I really appreciate the detailed info you provided on dispersed camping in western Oklahoma and now Utah!
Love your videos. We have been subscribed for a long time, but recently realized RUclips had unsubscribed us. All is well now, and catching up on the ones we missed.
That’s a beautiful area. We took a motorcycle trip from north Texas to Utah and stayed in Monticello which is south of where you are. Moab is a great little place but expensive to stay there. We toured Arches and Canyonlands National Parks and had an awesome time. Have a great remainder of the week!
I have been a sub of your channel for several years now. The flow and commentary has came a long way. The drone work and editing is great ! Most of all you take the time and trouble to give invaluable information on the area the camp sites ,directions, locations and what to see ! Love your no nonsense no drama approach ! Great job whishing you continued health and success on your journey ! Peace brother !
Your videos are so amazing! I love learning about different places to see when we load up the truck camper and head out west from NJ in a couple years!
Glad to help! You must be talking about the Utahraptor State Park. If you follow the road I was camped on, it runs into that part. The road gets very bad though. I think they charge $15 just to park overnight there.
Camped up the road near the Dinosaur tracks in the past. Wasn't aware of this area, so thanks for pointing it out. Will try it next time there. A lot closer to Moab instead of the Dino tracks site.
Thanks for coordinates and great video. 30 minutes for a live stream is perfect. Not too long. I like your videos. I'm still trying to catch up from being so busy. So, I'll binge on your videos shortly.
I’ve been camping and mountain biking out there for 20 years. Love that area outside Moab. The problem is now everyone knows about it, and it can get crowded, so now I 4wheel further in to escape the crowds in campers. But it beautiful out there.
I've been seeing the pronghorns also. I think I saw them also while dispersed camping on Capitan Mountain in New Mexico a couple years back. Unique looking animals for sure.
Very nice video! I believe the bird is a Chukar, in the partridge family, similar looks to some quail but significantly bigger, and yes the other is a Pronghorn Antelope, pretty cool finds! Keep up the good work man!
Awesome video. When I was on our geology field camp many, many years ago we spent several days mapping the area around Aches. Did you see any interesting rocks or minerals at this site? On my last camping trip I bought a telescope off of marketplace and enjoy looking at the planets and stars when I have clear, dark sky. This area should have some great dark sky.
You can veer off onto a jeep trail that'll take you into the back side of Arches NP. If you keep following that road it'll take you to Utahraptor State Park. The road gets really bad the closer you get to the park.
I believe I got the Jackery solar panels online at home depot. Being retired military, I get the 10% off. If you are looking for solar panels, I'd go on Amazon and find a reasonable priced 200 watt solar panel. The Jackery's are more expensive that the others. www.homedepot.com/p/Jackery-SolarSaga-100-Watt-Portable-Solar-Panel-for-Explorer-290-550-880-1000-1500-Power-Station-with-built-in-2-USB-Outputs-HTO587DG-USA/316707782

That's pretty neat! I bet it was a nice hike into Arches. Beautiful area around there!
Great videos with details for dispersed camping. Keep ‘em coming!
Thanks, will do!

Glad it was helpful! Stay tuned, I've got more Utah camping videos coming up! Safe Travels!
This is one of your best episodes, and as always informative.
Thanks John!
Thanks for this and all your useful and interesting videos.
Glad you like them! Thank you much for the donation! Much appreciated!
Corona Arch is one of my favorite hikes I've ever done. Recommended.
Me to!
Love the drone shots👍
Thanks 👍

Welcome back Janet! Thanks for watching!
Awesome! Thanks! 👍😎🇨🇦
No problem 👍

Monticello is a great little town. Much higher in elevation than Moab. Moab is very pricey for sure, a big touristy town. LOL
Nice video, I’m in the same area and loving it.
Very cool!

Thanks! Very much appreciated. I'm glad you find them informative. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the video. We will be there around the 2nd week of June
Safe Travels!
Great content. I agree with soonerJH travels, the bird looks like a chukar, and that horned animal is a pronghorn antelope.
They are some pretty neat looking animals!
Your videos are so amazing! I love learning about different places to see when we load up the truck camper and head out west from NJ in a couple years!
Glad you like them!
Thanks, Mark! I've been looking for a new spot around there since they made my old favorite into a state park.

The Dinosaur Tracks spots are paid camping now I believe. I'll have to get up there and check that area out.
You do an excellent job narrating your videos!
Thanks so much.
Glad you like them!
Hi Mark. Nice video. I like seeing places that I've been to, in your videos. Great editing. Take care bud!
Thanks Tracy!

Thanks! On the lives, I've noticed it takes a little while for everyone to get notified about the live. I'll get better at them hopefully. LOL
That's a happening place. Great narration. I like the ride alongs like this.
Thank you very much!
I’ve been camping and mountain biking out there for 20 years. Love that area outside Moab. The problem is now everyone knows about it, and it can get crowded, so now I 4wheel further in to escape the crowds in campers. But it beautiful out there.
Very true!
Love your adventures and set up. I watched you when you had a Honda 250 on a hitch carrier, what bought the change to a trailer?
When I'm carrying my KLR 650 I use my trailer. My KLR is to heavy for the hitch carrier.
Looks like a quail, and pronghorn. Seen a lot of them in the western states.
Thanks for the info! The animals in Utah are very unique. Pretty neat looking.
Thanks. I saw a lot of volcanic looking rock around there. Lots of sandstone also. The sky did shine bright with stars there.
Utah and Idaho are two beautiful states, in their own way.
I do agree!
Great video! What kind of motorcycle is that?
It's a '22 KLR 650 Adventurer
Pronghorn antelope and Montezuma quail.
I knew someone would know. I think the pronghorns are the same ones I saw near Capitan Mountain in New Mexico.
Looks like your moto cam is vibrating loose and twisting from the washboarding.
It’s my insta 360 camera. It records 360.
The animal you saw was an antipope vs. a deer. I live in Colorado and they cross my property all the time.
It looked pretty neat, not ever seeing one before.
Nice video Mark ! You are having too much fun ! You deserve it . This is one of your better narrations....soon you'll be a "professional" Mark !
Wow, thanks! I have my on days and off days. LOL
when firewood pops it's usually because it isn't dry enough/hasn't been properly seasoned.
Ah. It sure was popping. I think it was some of the wood I got from another campsite while I was there. It did a number on my carpet. LOL
Definitely nice spot. How many more miles can you keep going down that road? I assume it will end at arches NP 🤷🏼♂️
You can veer off onto a jeep trail that'll take you into the back side of Arches NP. If you keep following that road it'll take you to Utahraptor State Park. The road gets really bad the closer you get to the park.
The deer looks like an antelop to me.
I think someone said it's a pronghorn Antelope. Pretty neat looking!
Do you have a link to the solar panels you're using? Thanks much.

Better check the welds on that trailer, we forgot to redo it.
It's still good. Been touching the hubs every so often to make sure they aren't over heating. LOL
chuckar = game bird & Pronghorn Antelope not in the deer family.
They are pretty neat looking.
Nice videos but too long, can you shorten to about 15-20 mins.thanks
No, I can't. I would suggest you watch "shorts" or even tiktok. It would probably be more up your ally. Thanks for watching!
@@DispersedCamperMan I like the length. Scenery is what it's all about.
