  • Chevrolet has a new entry-level Silverado on the market, and not only is it a cheaper option than the LTZ, we reckon the $106,990 Silverado LT Trail Boss is a better rig in every regard.

@@danielcantrill3104 People don't really care that it's an LT motor with larger cam bore, direct injection, different heads and a bit more low end power. If it was an LS3 10 speed it would sound the same, run the same, look almost the same under the bonnet. Same bore, stroke, firing order, same producer, the same idea. Pity the reviews couldn't point that out that it's basically a large Commodore. The cabin feels (gm)/Holden. Perhaps like the last long wheelbase WM Caprice model. Toyota? Or the other 4wd Ute's? Nah I wouldn't have mentioned that in the review for comparison. Harrop did a good video on it recently in more of a commodore comparison way. I mean come on it runs a watered down version of the C8 corvette engine and transmission. Wasn't mentioned.

Start telling them to import the 2500 non diesel ones. Then you won't need a gvm upgrade. You gotta stop telling them to do gvm upgrades. Sick of hearing this. They made a mistake for out market. We only need 2500 petrol ones. That would suit up to 4.5t (over that air brakes and diesel territory) towing and high gvm.

Thundra, F 150 ram and in petrol version towing big boats.

Petrol the best in this segment. Bigger models also have petrol 2500/3500. You just can't get them in Aus. They will all tow up to 4.5t fine. Over that diesels are better but all require air brakes. Check out jb reviews he does a lot of towing tests with the bigger ones (petrol).

It's not even a 5.3l. It's the 6.2l LT (LS successor) Gen 5. I would just get it for that. It's a good motor (the diesel) but having an LS (LT in this case) is gold.
