I learned scar tissue flawlessly from you that I can play without looking. This has opened up so much for me. All your videos I truly always progress. I think your the best teacher. I love hey Justin here and hey it’s Marty Swartz and all that. But man your really the most easy to follow and learn.
People say it’s hard to play with a coin, but, I actually like it more than a pick, maybe it’s because I have been using a coin since I started playing. I dunno, coins just feel better in my fingers.
Can’t stress or thank you enough for how much you helped me improve my playing. Seeing myself improve motivates me even more to play. Thanks Carl you’re the man!
Came here for the electric guitar lesson, not disappointed; great lesson Carl. There are probably lots of different ways of playing this song, some play the first phrases/bends on the G string higher up the neck. I'm not sure how Brian May played it, have not seen a video that clearly shows what he plays. Great fun working through this lesson. Edit: Just found a video on the 'Queen Official' channel. It shows Brian May starting the solo around the 8th Fret B, like Carl has done here. Some other folk start on the 12th fret G. Both ways sound good.
I've learned so many Metallica songs from your videos now that I was so pleasantly surprised and excited when I wanted to learn the Killer Queen solo and this came up! Thank you so much for all of these (free) videos!
Outstanding lesson, as always. I've known the lead for a while, one of my all-time faves, but for whatever reason didn't bother with the chords. Nice having them down now as well. And yeah, Queen(and Squeeze) will give you a great chord workout.
Great lesson Carl! It would be awesome to see you do some lessons from news of the World, my favorite album from Queen, the song it’s late would be a great one… Just a suggestion, keep on rocking, you’re the man, Love your lessons
i play this live good job with the decending chords tough to play the C and Cb bass notes so Im going to do what you do from now on just play Ab andAbm ! thanks !
You're no freddy, but you nailed it hahahahaha ! Awesome to hear you singing along to it, otherwise it just wouldn't sound right. I guess that was the power of Mercury's singing.
On the last part of the Brian may solo when he bends the b string on the 18th fret and then you pick the 18th fret on the e string how many times do you pick each string he didn't really explain how many and I can't work it out can someone please help 😀
As said, it's often easier to play it, than write it down. I make notes from these lessons (then practice and memorize, not use tabs/scores). For the last phrase I have it as follows: B18-bB20 pbB20-rB18v B18-bB20 E18 pbB20 X 3 pbB20-bB21 b = bend pb = pre-bend r = release v = vibrato
20:06 is the electric solo

Indeed we do✨

*Pro tip:*
If you want to sound like brian may, use a coin as a pick.
Works well 👌 only problem is that it's hard to play with it
False
That's only work at Keep Yourself alive song
Yeah just remember it can damage your pickups
People say it’s hard to play with a coin, but, I actually like it more than a pick, maybe it’s because I have been using a coin since I started playing. I dunno, coins just feel better in my fingers.

Great video!! Crazy that just this morning I was trying to learn this song and was about to leave a comment asking for a tutorial for it!
actually brian does the ending fade out riff on one guitar - he just uses a delay pedal with dual delay 800 and 1600 ms ;)

Oh Carl, that is so cool! Thanks, enjoying it so much! What about a guitar cover of Bohemian Rhapsody, I mean that vocal cover you did a few times?
You're no freddy, but you nailed it hahahahaha !
Awesome to hear you singing along to it, otherwise it just wouldn't sound right.
I guess that was the power of Mercury's singing.

Nice singing carl👌🏻👍
You sound Amaziiiiing

Fuck i just heard this song and decided to learn it and here you are

Oh shit!! The singing though
Too many chords to memorize, Queen was superb.
I know right, that’s harder than the solo
ITS SHOCING HOW GOOD OF SINGER CARL IS... ALL THESE YEARS YOU DEVILIUS BASTARD
I've heard him sing a few times, he is really good! Not quite on par with the guitar playing though 😂
can you publish more singing lessons
?you sing very good!
99% of people are here for the solo
For a moment righr there you sounded like freddy..dang 🎉🎉
On the last part of the Brian may solo when he bends the b string on the 18th fret and then you pick the 18th fret on the e string how many times do you pick each string he didn't really explain how many and I can't work it out can someone please help 😀
As said, it's often easier to play it, than write it down. I make notes from these lessons (then practice and memorize, not use tabs/scores). For the last phrase I have it as follows:
B18-bB20
pbB20-rB18v
B18-bB20 E18
pbB20 X 3
pbB20-bB21
b = bend
pb = pre-bend
r = release
v = vibrato
21:40
Well now you can sing😱😱😱
Hey carl! I was just wondering if you used any effects and if you did, what were they and how much of the did you use?
Great. thanks Carl. How about Cowboy Song by Thin Lizzy?
