    This HDMI Extender sends video signals over 120 metres, not 12 metres. My upcoming gig requires a live video projection that is about 100 metres away. So I went to the electronics store at Sim Lim Tower to get myself the right equipment. www.videolane....

    My camera output is HDMI and I need a very long HDMI cable to reach the projector.
    It is known that HDMI cables transmit up to 15 to metersres before signal degradation.
    I have a choice to go wireless or use an ethernet cable to transmit the HDMI video.
    Wireless is out of the question because the camera and projector are in different rooms.
    Ethernet cables can transmit digital signals over longer distances but I need converters.
    I need to convert the camera end from HDMI to ethernet and then back again at the projector end.
    They call this the HDMI Extender and it comes in a pair, a transmitter, and a receiver.
    The transmitter goes to the camera end and the receiver end goes to the projector.
    One more thing, we will need to send the same video to another room too! Very tricky!
    For that, we need to split the video signal into 2 paths using the HDMI Splitter.
    I bought three HDMI Splitters because the whole setup is a little more complex.
    Watch the video and let me know what you think or how I can improve the system.

    Very good explanation. I just try connecting output of HDMI Extender to input HDMI Splitter and it is does not work (no display in TV monitor). The lenght of HDMI cable from HDMI Splitter to TV Monitor only 5 metres.

    HDMI Extender over Ethernet cable has more use than the splitter. You can transsmit video signal really far away but i recomend to use CAT7 S-FTP cable for extra shielding with zero interference from the enviroment. Also it is good for better video transimitting quality. But keep in mind this cable is extremely expensive. 1 meter in Slovakia costs around 3€ or neraly 4 dollars. And also use solid copper cable instead of stranded wire with 24AWG of diameter for lower power losses. Good explenation , thanks 😅

      @Samo Hraje:
      If you ran the ethernet cable AWAY from any power source, CAT7 is NOT needed. Just stay about 12 inches away from any 120V power source and you won't have any interference..

    We connected a HDMI cable from a desktop to a router then connected a HDMI cable to a 76" TV at the back of our church a distance of approximately 25' from the computer. Then we connected n HDMI transmitter extender almost identical to the one you are showing to the router and Ethernet cable a distance of approximately 55' to the front of the church with the receiver extender. The transmitter end is plugged into the power bar. There was only one power adapter supplied and the directions said only to plug in the transmitter or the receiver. We connected a splitter to the receiver extender and the 2 TV screens on the front wall of the church. The screens are used to display words of songs and other presentations. All 3 screens worked well for the first week but the 2 front screens would drop their signal and the screens would be black, however the back screen connected directly to the router would not be affected. A hired technician could not work out the problem and just connected 1 screen at the front which does not drop its signal. I see so many instances with multiple screens and no signal drop. Can you help/ Thank you.
