Respectfully disagree. Maybe for a home user / geek hobby project, but for any client work (even Dentists, 😉) I suggest sticking with industry standard HDBaseT. Lossless transmission using CAT cable with versions available for 1K or 4K resolution that work reliably. Sure, they aren't big box store or online "no name" products, but "Buy once, cry once" for a professional installation is a no-brainer.
Ok, but what if I'm not a gamer, but instead, a filmmaker who wants to film in a large body of water, with a crew on land that is watching from about 400-480 feet, through about 250 feet of tall grass in between, and wifi is a no go.
Devil is always in the details. Optical cables are still worth the effort because this device doesn’t meet all the specs, 4K 120Hz, Dolby Vision, etc
Background NOISE make it BAD
