To me, 10/17/73, Brussels is the peak of rock and roll --- the entire form of music, not just the Rolling Stones.
totally AGREE.
I cant believe people saw this live. I hope they understood that this was the most intense musical moment they will ever experience again
This is by far the BEST VERSION EVER !
Satanic music never sounded better
Certainly
I think so and don t forget Madison square garden and hyde park 2013 version with mick Taylor en guest star
Indeed
What does this have to do with Goats Head Soup?
Mick Taylor on fire with amazing guitar solos
This is the Stones at their live peak...
The greatest Rolling Stones live song!
Great pace song to crank out the work...
@@mickeymomighty5660 nah the bet.
No it’s brown sugar !
You ain't wrong...
Tha Ramblarr on steroids....W0W !!!! Feel the EnerGy
Mick Taylor's guitar sings and growls on this one, freaking amazing!
When I listen to this, so do my neighbors!
Best live recording of Midnight Rambler!
I remember when this was a must-have bootleg.
Hell yeah, me too
I found a bootleg in 1974, quadraphonic QS even... I still have it. And still the best all-time stones song I have
Mick f'n Taylor!
Mr Watts is fantastic on this track. He's always fantastic, but here, in the middle section... whew!
The Rolling Stones are gambling with my emotions. I like that.
I see a Red Door and I want it Painted Black
I like the part where Mick is screaming "ow!" And the audience responds "ow!" back over and over. So cool.
When Mick Taylor's slide guitar comes in at 5:50.... Perfect!
superbe jeu MT
The band's on stage and it's one of those nights !!!
The interplay between keith and mick t is absolutely phenomenal on this version
Pure smokin'.
The Stones at their peak.
As much as I love the Ya-Ya's version, I think this Brussels version tops it. It's just so over-the-top in terms of Mick's barking vocals, the insanely fast tempos, and Mick T's guitar pyrotechnics.
It starts out faster
@@robcallahan2227
Yes, thank you...I believe I said that.
Part of me agrees with you but the Ya Ya's version is incredible too. Its..'blusier'(?)
@@televinv8062 listen to the live at Roundhouse version 1971, it's pretty amazing MT
@@brunolamagnere5915 that was a tremendous recommendation, thanks. I listened to all three. The sound quality, tightness and 'funkier' version (for me) makes the ya yas one the best of the three. But the Roundhouse version...ferocious and feverish, wow. Someone HAS to remaster and/or enhance that one. Its astounding.
MICK TAYLOR..!
This is for me their best song. For many reasons. I love this version.
Sure, talk about the guitars, but to me, the strength in this is the bass of Wyman and the drums of Watts that allows Richards, Jagger and Taylor to absolutely murder the audience with this song.
The greatest concert ever was recorded. How lucky are we?
Brussels Affair is the greatest live album ever, and this one of the 2 standout songs. First heard this aged 12 on John Peel's radio show and for me, the instrumental section is hypnotic - the band are just in the groove, and on full blast wearing headphones, I am taken to a different place. Would love to have been there there that night.
Had this on Bootleg since 1977. I really is amazing
The Stones peaked during these 12 minutes….
ladies and gentleman the Rolling Stones...............on and on
Their own rock opéra. Great guitars great harp, superb Jagger.
You get tickets?
@@nanchanger nope. They are too old to play live. Especially Keith.
@@The98Dude you couldn't be more wrong, age is not a factor, I have seen great musical performances by artists much older, saw them 2 years ago and it was tremendous, got my tix for June and can't wait, you should try to get out more...
@@nanchanger good for you. As for me I saw Chuck Berry, BB King, Johnny Winter and more rock/ blues greats in their old age and it was sad to hear and see. As for the Stones, I am fan since 71, saw them 17 times since 76 and what I saw and heard in their last tours was musically very disappointing. Especially Keith...as much as I love them I won't go to see/hear them damage their music live. Hackney Diamonds is good though. Too poppy but good. But this is studio work and can be fixed...
@@The98Dude somehow I suspect a Y/T snob isn't someone the Greatest RnR Band in the World is looking to for advice, I too have seen CB, B.B. and JW, all great guitar players live and put on fabulous shows, you just sit at home and reminisce about 1971, it'll mean more tix for REAL fans!
An outstanding performance that is on vinyl. This is the best version of Midnight Rambler that I have ever heard. They are all in sync with a crazy level of energy. Bill Wyman's bass line is spot on and Charlie is very energetic and steady as usual. Long live the Stones.
Was there and still never really come back.
Man I'd almost do anything to go back to this Era of the Stones on 🔥 most definitely 👍
The Stones at their best! Mick Jagger is exceptional. He also displays his harmonics virtuoso, but, it’s Mick Taylor, who exhibits what he brought to the Stones and steals it for me. His lead guitar solo and his interweaving with both Mick’s vocals and Keef’’s driving riff’s are superb. I agree with those who ask for more releases from this era. Thank you for sharing this with us.
Pity about the video.
One Mick for the eyes and one Mick for the ears.
Dissolves the blank indifferencies of our times
They were in the period of finding it. A writer or anyone that is an artist, never knows wher the ignition comes from That's when it's at the best. The magic of the momentum. It sounds like a heritage that fell on me, like an ignition of a moment that can never be copied. Of course it's your duty by requets of the admirers. But it's so easy to hear the difference between being inside the bulb of creation and being outside even copyng the ambience when you were inside the creation moment. You can't paint Mona Lisa twice. But for concern of admirers you always must repeat. But you can never repeat the drive to be inside You'l only be a repetear of something already passed. Here is the concepy of a song that found it's full development. and of course the best. You can always come back to the momentum. But you can't come back all the way
@@thomasandersen2764 nice spatial depiction of the sentiment…this is undoubtedly one of the prime examples of the stones at their best.
Pure and simple . . The GOAT live recording by ANYONE ! Sensational in all areas. . MT is 🔥🔥🔥
Mick Taylor and his Les Paul Sound F---ing Great !
Grandi !! The best Band of the world !! Forever ! 😄👍👌
The king of bands The Rolling Stones, its awesome, love it. Congratulations ❤❤🎉🎉
I can only agree with the thread of previous comments. This is a magnificent version of a great rock 'n roll song. The whole band was on the top of their game this night.
I've been a fan of this particular show since 1982 when I first got a copy of this bootleg. Fantastic!.
The King of bands The Rolling Stones, it's awesome, I love it. Congratulations ❤❤🎉🎉
My little brother recorded this concert on our reel to reel back in 1974, it's the best version of midnight rambler I've ever heard
👍 my buddy had an Akai reel to reel and I dubbed it to Maxell Gold cassettes !!!
Great f'kn days dude ......💖
@10:08 Houston .. We have lift off!💥🚀
The 1973 European Tour is way above the 1969 or 1972’s US ones … which were already just amazing -> they are now experienced on stage with all their new materials from BB, Let it Bleed, Sticky, Exile and Goats. They are at their peak
Yep. It's the culmination of their peak run. They were at the top of their game, and after years of honing their live sound and letting Taylor’s shackles loosen, this was the result. I can only imagine what 1975-76 would have been like if this incarnation of the Stones stayed together.
This is a freight train that ain't stopping
Who else remembers listening to this very recording on the King Biscuit Flower Hour, circa 1975? The reason I recognize it is because I recorded it on a cassette and listened to it at least 100 times. I recognize every note and nuance. The cassette wore out years ago, so this is a great treat!
I do! I had recorded that same King Biscuit Show on cassette
@@markhorton3041 Do you still have the cassette? I got real depressed when mine wouldn't work anymore.
lightcaesar I wish I still did, but it was lost many years ago when I moved.
I had it on reel to reel and transferred the recording to cassette for my car. No question it contributed heavily to my hearing loss.
@@Mr62Lincoln Any speeding tickets while listening to the fast parts of "Midnight Rambler?" Did your tapes disintegrate, too?
the greatest rock concert
The slow blues section in this is my favorite part
Very good
For me it's their greatest live, maybe I'm subjective cause I was there, never have the same feeling in any other concert, listen to public reactions. Of course the visual was at the same crazy level. a pity that don't exist any video.
Boys...PLEASE release the full Wembley Sept 9, and Sept. 8, 1973 first show concert audio.....and rare tracks from Vienna(Sept 1) if the board tapes are in the can. The World and I will thank you and owe a debt of gratitude...
The blue eyeshadow is on fleek
Without any doubt whatsoever, this live album will appreciate in value if you get it on vinyl. This will be a legendary album IMHO.
I bought the original bootleg vinyl record of this in 1976 for $8.00....LOL!
@@frankdiscussion2069 on the pig label entitled bedspring symphony a box lunch and meat whistle.
@@frankdiscussion2069 You're lucky, never find it in Paris.
best execution of this song of all time
This is the best version of MR out there. Keith's playing is sharp and precise (for once), his tone is positively nasty, Charlie is on fire, MT's playing is terrific, and even Billy Preston's organ in the background is amazing. Just smoking hot.
i bought the bootleg album off an add from rolling stone magazine. in 77. i still have it, recorded to an 8 track from my radio shack recorder
Bedspring Symphony..."the Aragon and other great ballrooms..."
Outstanding performance!
Love this song !!!😍😍😍😍
The best performance ever!!!👌
This is the song that snatched a my heart, and made me a crazy fan, got this on cd, blast it in my crib.
Attended the Ahoy Rotterdam Sunday afternoon show as a 17 old kid. The Brian Jones and especially Mick Taylor period proved to be the zenith in artistic value. As soon as Ron Wood appeared in 1976 the magic was over.
Oohhh vamos los Stones.saludos desde ARGENTINA y de ESTUDIANTES DE LA PLATA
Talking about the midnight rambler the one who took my soul ,oh yeah ,oh yeah
Eu simplesmente amo The Rolling Stones. ... 🤘🏾🤘🏾🤘🏾🎸🎸🎸
... Mick Taylor with riffs flaming right along with the maestro's drums. What a tight tight band! WOOHOO!
hmmm, Midnight Rambler is like midnight... I Love this version
They're uploading like crazy, love it!
An outstanding absolute masterpiece, i'm in awe, all my life a stones fan, this is beyond .... almost in the land of ...Mick Taylor god bless you
these guys defined an era
We need any other unheard Mick Taylor year performances to be released immediately as a service to art.
Thanks.
100 % Agree , i recall a bootleg of the Rolling stones in 1974 call "Charlie Watts and his band" something like that who is incredible.
@Rolling Stones Records, Promos and Bootlegs........lg
The whole "unreleased Decca live" is fantastic... Still waiting for some official release
..and humanity in general.
They need to release anything and everything mick Taylor played on
No flash in the pan there, Taylor. This band is a BEAST!
Los más grandes del planeta ❣️ 🇦🇷
This is so sick love it
Mick Taylor is god.
I agree ,Jesus and the Holy Spirit as well
It's always so good to hear you guys!!! 🙏🇨🇺
VERY VERY GREAT. VERSIÓN 👏👏👏✅ LADIES & GENTLEMAN. THE ROLLING STONES FOR EVER 👅👅👅🥇👍👍🇦🇷🇦🇷🍻🎫🃏
Isso que é música!
Vocês são minha inspiração 🙏🎸💪
Excellent, a masterpiece of a song🙏🏻✌🏻🔊🔊💃💃💋💋💋
I wish they released footage of this song
Favourite part is when Keith and Mick T play off each other 8:18-8:54
magificent , a musical firework! A wonderful long version !
This will always be the pinnacle of the rock and roll experience. The audio is soaring, towering, consummate. Praying the video is in the works for a future From the Vaults. Ready to step into the time machine and see it in person too.
woooooow excellent
SUPERB!!!!!!!!
Superb!!
When I hear this, all I can say is to please: 1) get Mick Taylor back on board for 2022 along with Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood and 2) give Mick Taylor official credits for the songs he co-wrote with Jagger/Richards.
Yeah, better late than never,we say in our country!!
@@johanvanspaandonck4481 However, we know it will not happen.
perfeito.
Tão perfeitinho 😍😍😍😍
STONES éternels, toujours et encore 👍👍👍🥰🥰
as keith forbiden in France due to " medical problems (hahahaha) " , this stage in Brussels was for french fans . i saw the Stones again at " the abattoirs " in 1976 and at the " hyppodrome " and Nice in 1982 and Marseilles later
Never to be bettered imagine if you had actually been there Wow! Take that to the grave man .
La mejor versión que he escuchado jamás de este tema. Y punto.
thank you for uploading!
I meet him and told him, with no shame, that he made beautiful the rock and roll. 🎸
Temazo !!! Qué bestia Taylor por favor !!!!!
Perth 73 is a great version. Early show. Audio on youtube. Check it. These guys are on fire. Charlie is my darling....
Thinkin' about Charlie Watts.......
goat 2020 oh ya
Damnation I wish that boy Jagger would pick up the harp more often.
L' attacco iniziale e il cambio di ritmo alla fine mi fanno sempre venire la pelle d' oca. L' enorme grandezza dei RS con Mick Taylor.
IDOLOS LOS AMO❤🇦🇷
i like It!
MY Love ❤️❤️😍❤️
I wish Dexter and Dee Dee would hurry and finish my time machine...🤗
I am literally texting Taj Mahal right now and sending him this link
Taj Mahal is legendary you're probably aware he opened for the Rolling Stones at the Rock and roll circus where John Lennon Eric Clapton p Townsend Who Jethro tull w/ tony iommi etc performed .... That lineup is a dream sequence 💥
Grate song.
