Mick Taylor really brought the stones to another level. My favourite songs are from his time.
Me too bud. Love the 73 tour
Truth !
Taylor is absolutely fire
This is the best YCAGWYW they did. Ladies & Gentlemen is close second. It's everything here: the sax, MT, the harmonies, Keith's playing, Mick's range, etc. Holy shit. Goosebumps. Nobody was ever better at this shit. We got to be in the timeline with this stuff, coool
Charlie too, holy shit! the man
this is my absolute favorite as well. they were well oiled it was the end of the tour......Have you heard the midnight rambler from this show? Mick and Reef's interplay is just fantastic. easily best quality show and recording stones ever did.
@@bretschwartz MR on BA is possibly the best version. It's them at their best as a band. It's tight, groovy, and chaotic too. KR's solos are a gas and MT is a virtuoso as always. Yeah, the call and response in the MR bridge with the guitars is legendary, they do that on the alt take of Can't You Hear Me Knocking as well. It can be heard on the SF Deluxe re release. Brussels Affair is phenomenal. The Tumbling Dice and Starfucker cuts there are also in their own league. Not to mention, Heartbreaker, Angie, and Dancing with Mr D. The drastic downturn from '73 in Europe to '75 in North America-'76 in Europe is shocking. They peaked and then much of the live show became a parody. Mick Taylor left and they no longer took things "seriously" when Ronnie joined as Mick has said. I love Ronnie and he arguably saved the band according to Bill W, but they were never that good again, but then again, nobody else was either. And that's the crazy thing, Rock n' roll had an expiration date after its revival in the 60s largely because the Stones perfected it at such a high level particularly between '68-'73 that nobody was ever going to exceed those accomplishments and that body of work. Ever snce, rock has been a series of fleeting, transparent fads and rip off bands. The only ones to my mind, that truly stand out are Bon Scott's AC/DC, Guns n' Roses, and Stone Temple Pilots (the last rock stars, RIP Scott).
Mick Taylor on fire with amazing guitar solos
Mick jagger on fire with amazing confetti tossing
@@lyndonlively8990 lol!
@@lyndonlively8990 Rose petals only come on now Mick doesn't do confetti.
You can hear his influence on Slash BIG TIME. Damn what a player Mick was/is.
Transcends me. This performance is magic.
Absolutely the best Rolling Stones live version ever.
The whole album is just phenomenal.
This and the Circus Tent
@@bramvantongerloo933 yes just discovered this show. Wow! Had been wearing out the Somegirls 78 Show and the 1980 show from the Tattoo Deluxe and missed this one.
The desert island 🏝️ disc to beat them all!!!!🕺🎷🥁🎵🎶☘️
Allways have been the best of all rock an roll in bands.
Rest In Peace Mr Watts. You were one of best drummers of the world. You'll be missed.😢
Wishing a lot of courage and fortitude to the family and the band.
the absolute greatest in all of rock n roll history
What a superb live rendition this is. Every musician on this seems to be playing at their peak performance level, and it is oh so fluid! Hats off to The Stones, hard to surpass them at this apex of live in concert brilliance.
Rendition? It's live you clown.
take a moment to read what he said
Stellar Mick Taylor work!
beyond superb jagger vocals
the stones kept me alive then and now also take all my anxiety away the absolute greatest in rock n roll history
yes, 100% here
Mick Taylor, we miss you!
he's still alive
The Rolling Stones forever. ... 🎸🎸🎸👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾🤘🏾🤘🏾🤘🏾
I love this Brussels intensely
Best version i have ever heard and i have been a Stones fan for 53 years.
Finally - the official version. MT!
Fuck yeah.
Yes sir.
Fabulous band. Met Brian Jones when they played Edinburgh in 1963. Love them.
Mick Taylor and Trevor Lawrence are on another planet here
Taylor is the Man !
the absolute greatest in rock n roll history
Easily the best version of this song...Keith's use of space and time on rhythm guitar is unmatched. That's why he is one of the greats
P C Great comment 🎸🔥👍
So well put.
The rhythm guitars on this are skin crawling .
I can listen to it 35 times in a row
My favorite version of this song by far. I bought the Goat’s Head Soup vinyl box set that came with the Brussels Affair, and this and Midnight Rambler take up a whole side lol.
Mick Taylor all day baby!
it's gold, way best version of this song ever, pity it wasn't captured on film, can you imagine a Blu Ray video of this show ( the show to end all shows) I'd die happy😄😄😄😄Don Ireland
My fav version ever
Well ... I personally still prefer the other version of that day (they did two gigs) that can be found from the old bootleg:

Mick Taylor playing part of the solo or lick of Winter 8:37
yea the fact that he can mold all these amazing licks into whatever song in whatever key makes him amazing
Winter always reminded me of their early 70's live version of YCAGWYW.
@@RJ-vv8he And the fact is : he wrote Winter with Jagger.
The intro of this song.......whoa. Beautiful.
Best band Ever!
There just really is no comparison between the Stones with Mick Taylor and later with Ronnie Wood. Taylor has gone down as one of the 4 or 5 greatest guitarists of all time. When he played with the Stones, there were two distinct guitars, Keith primarily on riffs and rhythm and MT on leads and solos. With Ronnie it is much more of a dueling sound. The distinctions blur, making it difficult to distinguish lead from rhythm, Ronnie from Keith. Mick Taylor played melodic leads off Jagger's voice. Ronnie seems to extend Keith's chords. Mick Taylor made the Stones the greatest RnR band in the world, hands down. With Ronnie's playful antics and stage presence, they transitioned to become not so much the greatest band but the greatest show on earth.
this is a precious moment in time of course for generations to come as well as ourselves
Some of the best " live " music I've ever heard
Perfection
And it's crazy to imagine that they maintain this level during the all concert.
Great sax in this
Oh shit, amazing
Sooo good!!!
Bravo!!!!
absolutely beautiful jagger
Great Bobby Keys sax solo. Also the solo from Mick T who takes over the saxsound. Thanks guys
kleermaker1000 thank you for the feedback.
This is so brilliant!! Rock on 🤘🏼🌹
Geat sounds from all especially Taylor and the horns. Stones are much better in smaller venues. When they went to stadium and Jagger running a very large stage there is loss in my view.
Los Rolling Stonnes estarán por siempre conmigo porque son de lo mejor!!!!!
Los amoooooo
Incredible sounds!
immense , ecoutez , c'est tout . tout est deja dit
I've got this album on a bootleg cd. This is the beat live version of this song I have heard.
Best live recording of this song. 2nd best is probably Cuba. Best live recording of Sympathy for the Devil is off of Get Yer Ya-Yas out
@@Kleermaker1000 1973 Essen version is Close to the top. Not same fidelity, but Recommended.
Check out the version from Essen 1973
There's another recording from the same tour that was on the King Biscuit Flower about 1975 that is even better. Bobby Keys blew the roof off with his sax solo. He sounds a little strained on this one, but still excellent.
@@Kleermaker1000 Who plays sax?
Que hermosa canción. 😍😍😍
Epic! Long live the Stones!
i was there ... i have any souvenirs except solo of Mick Taylor
So beautiful
brussels affair meilleur album live des stones
Best sound
Excelente vershion. PERO la del 72 es incomparable. La del 72 es Majestuosa. La versión del 72 pone de rodillas al CREADOR y le hace pedir perdón por sus Pecados. ¡Richard te Amo más que a mi Vida!!
Nice
TIME for a new avatar! Gaius Baltar is so 2018!

You Can't Always Get What You Want Lyrics by Rolling Stones
I saw her today at the reception
A glass of wine in her hand.
I knew she was gonna meet her connection,
At her feet was a footloose man.
And you can't always get what you want,
Honey, you can't always get what you want.
You can't always get what you want
But if you try sometimes, yeah,
You just might find you get what you need!
I went down to the demonstration
To get our fair share of abuse,
Singing, "We gonna vent our frustration."
If we don't we're gonna blow a fifty amp fuse.
So, I went to the Chelsea Drugstore
To get your prescription filled.
I was standing in line with my friend, Mr. Jimmy.
And man, did he look pretty ill.
We decided that we would have a soda,
My favorite flavour was cherry red.
I sing this song to my friend, Jimmy,
And he said one word to me and that was "dead."
And I said to him
I saw her today at the reception.
In her glass was a bleeding man.
She was practiced at the art of deception;
I could tell by her blood-stained hands.
🖤🖤🖤🖤🤘🤘🤘🤘
Where's the footage??????????????
There isn't any, they didn't film the 1973 tour.

spot light on micks house obsessed since just a kid
Who is playing the saxophone cuz holy shit that was amazing
Bobby Keys
@@Otisthedog Bobby Keys was fired before this show, Trevor Lawrence handles the sax work here.
@@mljmaui Thank you for setting things straight.✌️
@@mljmaui Trevor Lawrence great fine one.
@@mljmaui Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence?
I wouldn't lie to ya baby
Bonjour toi tu génial .
Is this version remastered? It sounds different than my 30-year old CD version of Brussels Affair. I’m not complaining, but there is something clinical about this version.
I think it is from the different show of the day (there were two) - for example the transition to the sax solo at 5:15 is much more elegant in the other one (the one in my old bootleg CD - probably same version you have) - the transition at 31:30:
ruclips.net/video/-Vaw4tI5Nro/видео.html
In general the official release of the Brussels Affair for some reason tended to select the less tasteful/interesting versions of the songs where the bootleg and the official differ.
The general sound quality of the official tends to be a tad better though.
@@EneriGiilaan thank you ;
TAYLOR
How are you guys doing😊❤💋👅👄💖💝💘
The bootleg early show is a better version, this one is still good but that performance blows this one away.
Hei, this is from the first show
Kjell Øwre incorrect. This is the 2nd show. This official release is mostly the 2nd show with Brown sugar, midnight rambler and SFM from the 1st.
@@michaelsacco4212 You are correct that this is from the 2nd show. The 1st show has been circulated on bootleg for 30 yrs. I agree that the 1st show version is better played. This one is a little lazy. Still nice to hear a different version of that great night. I find it amazing Taylor plays 2 completely different solos on the SAME night. Cheers!
Hei, thanks for the messege.
I agree, its corect that is from the 2show.
I saw them in Göteborg 1973. October the 6,l think IT was.
I still have the ticket, and a big poster. Never forget the show. Kjell 😎

Are you fucking kidding me that you would interupt a music video with a commercial? Did the Rolling Stones go ABKCO?
its 2022, surely you have an ad blocker by now
Sax player ???
Stay away from H , Mr, jimmy
So, it looks like Keith was playing that brown bodied custom built five string for the open G tuning songs by this time. Interesting that he eventually went back to Telecasters. I guess he wasn't satisfied by the custom built guitar. I'd be interested to know what he didn't like about it. Maybe that unique Tele twang just wasn't there.
I have a theory Keith stopped playing Gibsons the more he used open tunings. Fenders have better stability in staying in tune; whereas Gibsons are notorious for going out of tune easily due to the headstock shape/design.
Anyone else being interupted by scabbing bastards with ads? Grrr!
no, i use an ad blocker. Have done for years, cant understand why anybody doesnt use one
Play the guitar boy
This is the official Brussels Affair on Goat's Head Soup deluxe, but in my opinion Mick Taylor' s solo on the other show i far better, longer and more woman tone, but as allways great singing, mid - range Les Paul tone. No one else comes near that sound. Ronnie is a joke ...
Hot damn!! I might have to rethink getting that Goat's Head Soup Deluxe just to get this
What an atrocious music video! The same brief scene is repeated hundreds of times! What a lack of creativity!
Amen! Damn
There is no video for Bruxelles.
Mick Taylor, we miss you!
Yes, we really do, he was absolutely amazing (well he still is)
This song is a heaven
