Matthew Lillard is and has been my favorite actor for such a long time and I love this interview. The questions were very well thought out and the conversation seemed so real and genuine. ❤
I've had the pleasure of meeting him at two of my CA horror con's, he's an unbelievably nice human being. Both times, his autograh lines were an hour plus long. That's because he was taking the time to do personal 1on1's w/each fan; he also threw starburst candies out at us and would pump us up by kinda acting like Stu in scream. My 12yr old daughter was so excited to meet him, being a Scream & 5 Nights @ Freddys fan. Plus it was her 1st Horror Con.
Anybody else want a pillow made of this man's voice?? He's already genius-level smart and off-the-charts adorable. That little crunch in his voice is just really soothing to me.
Scream is my favorite movie! Matthew’s story about Wes and the academy award made me choked up-Wes seemed like the kindest person. He is so missed. Thank you for this!
This made me love Matthew more than I already do. Been a fan of his since Hackers, and love it whenever he pops up in a new project. Thank you for having him on.
My family and I had the luxury of meeting Matthew this past year at Calgary Fan Expo. He was absolutely one of the highlights and one of our top interactions of all time (we go the conventions all the time, so that is saying something). He was engaging with every fan, he knew he could make people’s day by being invested and he went the extra mile. I adored him before meeting him but I’ll root for him even harder now!
Wherever he is right now, whatever he's doing at this exact point in time, I just really hope Matthew Lillard is having a great day. He's just such a genuine person that you can't help but love him.
Love how passionate he is and how there's an artist with overflowing vigor that needs an outlet to express all that energy. I do hope that he gets to fulfill his directing intentions
I love him so much. I totally understand why Wes said he'll have an Academy award one day. Every time I rewatch Scream I'm blown away by his energy and the extremes he goes to with that character, without ever going over the top or too far. And he just seems like the most genuine dude in the business. :)
Same here. in my case, he is THE SHAGGY, those scooby doo movies changed it all for me (as a child) and to know that Mathew has that much respect for the charachter and his craft in general, just makes me love him. Shout out SLC Punk too.
He definitely does not give himself anywhere near enough credit! One of the absolute sweetest guys! I’ve been an outsider my whole life too. In high school I co-created the freaks and geeks group so everyone had someone to sit with at lunch. I think there were more than 20 of us my Junior year. It was a great experience! Plus doesn’t he know a lot of women think guys who cry are hot?
I’ve been dying to get into acting and live near Gainesville Florida and have no clue where to start, so if you are reading this Mathew , I would love to come be a part of any of your scripts , because you are a genius and fellow DND player so you share the love and passion and outlook I do on things it seems and thank you for being awesome .

Everyone talks about scream as his first movie...i saw him in HACKERS first. Which was a year before scream. Im a tech/computer guy and loved that movie as well as being in the show Hault and Catch Fire, another computer hacking/tech show. Man i would wanna love to talk to him abkut THOSE two niche' things 😅
I'm gonna be hurt if he's not in 7. 😂 the tv didn't kill him . They bring so many people back in these films, bring my boy back 😂. But we met him about a year ago in tampa, he's so so sweet
I think I'd enjoy this interview a lot more if John and Dawko hadn't just gotten horribly screwed by the streaming service in question. Mathew Lillard was supposed to be there, but they never even informed him of the thing. Ugh.
I love him but the way he constantly insinuates Stu is still alive and may return only adds to the discourse among fans even though it's been confirmed he is not and will not. It feels clickbaity.
I seriously (aside killing of course), see Matthew personality in Stu. Like, anyone else and it will be such meaningless role, but Matthew made it unforgetable ride! 🫶
