This isn't getting old, im really enjoying all this. And seeing what the car is going through on the trip, itll be interesting to see what it looks like after you get back and get her all cleaned up.
years ago i had a 1969 Chevelle SS the 396 was gone but i had a 350 with the 4 speed i needed body work, but it was the funnest car i ever owned beating hot rods off the line that had meats traction bars when i was only stock what a ride:)
Love the rock overlay while workin. Couldn’t help but scream oh yaaaaah! If I saw this beauty in person I’d scream too!! There’s just something so sweet about Chevelle. I like watching you work as much as the work. Awsome video Matt!! And dang Blair, it’s amazing how much you do.
Thank you . What an excellent time with you guy's. Car is looking really terrific. This is going to be a great road trip. Keep on making great entertainment and video's they are great
Nice ride Mike! Love ❤your show and watching this video and others. My husband Brent is restoring a ‘69 Mustang coupe engine 390, with his buddy Bill in Kamloops. When Brent orders the wrong part I can hear him cussing from across town. Looking forward to going to classic car shows when the mustang gets (ever) done lol 😊My friend from Florida loves ❤your shows too I’ll send him the video. Cheers Safe travels.
Lol.. that's where iam from Blair.. I commented about the stud gun.. I have been in the bodywork business for 25 years have been doing it fir 28 years.. people here are friendly fir the most part.... wish I could come out there and work and see your country.. I feel like I'd take alot of strain of you too Blair... as in most shops here you have to be able to do what is required at the time.. can't just be a preper.. or painter.. or welder. Or a polisher. You have to be a jack of all .. The shop I worked in had no paint booth.. he owned 2or 3 but would always sell them.. anyways we did the Ford dealership work, Mazdas and Nissan's and our work passed there standards.. it was nice two toning brand new trucks. Or damaged vehicles that came in on the truck that way.. it's different than what most shops do down east wich is alot of rust repair.. anyways love your shit... would love to come and see your country and work on some rust repair.. gotta dream eh ! You could have a in house polisher as you can imagine with no booth and brand new vehicles there's slot of wet sandind and buffing going on.. oh plus I think I'd fit in iam kind of a hippy guy myself , long haird love old cars, old music.. if you every need a hand let me know would love too help
I live in London well just outside near Wimbledon and I envy you the scenery and freedom believe me you are what you are a self made lovely bloke. I'm married. Kenny
Love the show Mike, Could you ask the camera man to show the number of the episode in order to watch the proper sequence, if we have to miss it for a couple of weeks,. But like I said before, love the show, thats about all , everything elseabout the show is excellent..
@@RustBrosRestos Longest part of the drive coming up, Thunder Bay to Sault St Marie, with Wawa in the middle. I would not be shocked if you don't have to use a gas can in between.
I just finished my 1968 chevelle Ls swap and its running great. Now all i need is a paint job. Do you guys do jobs like this? Would love for it to be in the right hands
How frickin kool is your Chevell!?! I had a 68 back when. I had forgotten what it was like to sit in. Thx for the video shot. Camera man, was that you visiting the fella in Florida? He was giving you heck about something. You’re Matt? Didn’t catch your last name. Thought I heard you say you worked on several other shows. One being‘Back road truckers’. Nice work dude!
Yo Mike, now you can talk to us not just yourself! I’m confused, last video you were driving to eastern Canada in a snowstorm. How did that trip go? Hey Blair.
The chev is finished. He’s live updates are him & matt driving to motorama in Toronto. Which takes place 8th, 9th & 10th March. More details are in the description at the top 👍🏻
worn out old hood hinges are notorious for sagging..my chevelle SS hood makes contact with the hidden wipers...when i open hood..you could try peening rivets...usually a new set of hinges is in order FYI
Mike you need to replace your carpet it's faded new one will look better. Maybe some other time down the road. Thay say Rome wasn't built-in and day. It's looking good ,Mike and Brian and to all of the people who are working on the car 🚗 just want to say alsome job look great 👍. Be safe on your trip God Bless you .
It's Maroon lol..I haven't heard that color since the 70s and 80s cause 90s into 2000 uptill now people calls the color of that beautiful 68 SS Chevelle burgundy...I love that car cause growing up, black red and blue, with a couple white ones in the SS category was the colors I's use to seeing..To see a factory Maroon 68 SS Chevelle makes it completely different from the rest..It's in it's own category and I love it...I always thought a 68 front and rear bumpers are different than the rest of em because of the lip on each end and reverse lights should be in a different location. I hate it 4ya Mike cause you're so close to having it ready to roll...I was going to suggest that spray dye for the carpet but the way the carpet is it'll clean up with all the cleaning stuff they have these days..I'm guessing that's the original carpet. I can't express it enough as to how much I love that car out of everything Mike owns ❤I'm pretty sure that seat belts was optional upto 1968 cause I don't remember anything GM made having seat belts until 1969 maybe..I'm thinking they had things above the door windows to hold the belts up outa the driver and passengers way...I had a 1968 Impala 2door hardtop that didn't have any seat belts at all lol...
Love the videos car looks fabulous, why are the videos being released out of order? I’m watching you put the car together today, and the past two days we are watching you driving it to the car show . Why not release them in order? Asking for a friend?

You need to find a place up there that does re-chroming it would help you a lot
Tell Mike he needs to invest in a 68 SS396 dash glovebox emblem and get rid of that 69 one
I had a 69 Chevelle. the aftermarket windshield wipers are too high period the factory ones were low profile so they would fit under the hood
