- On this episode, JF calls his friend, from Rust Valley , Mike Hall after just getting home from SEMA - JF asks hm about a 1956 chevy Belair .
JF wants to buy this Trick-five that has been sitting in a field for decades ! Tom the owner , an ole boy in Washington state , is looking to clean up his property and has 2 , 56 chevy's he wants to get rid of , and we pick up JF's buddy Jake head to his property , we get there and wow! he has 4 Try five's and a whole bunch of Camaro parts , we struck a deal on the chevy and car parts and brought one home , JF thinks he's got a junkie 56 chevy with a good roof sitting at his ex wife's house that he can use to piece together the crappy roof on the one he gets today ... so Teresa and him head over there to pick up the car and well it's been a while... and his memory wasn't a good as he thought !
It was a fun time , JF was having a good laugh cause his 2 wives were working for him!
DD speed shop gets a mention by JF as he's bringing home his piece of crap second comes home !
we get free pieces for our 69 Camaro that is coming up in the next year we are going to build that we plan to give away to one of our subscribers !

It's hard to believe there are still some 56's sitting around. Spent my teen yeas cruising in a 56 Belair two door hardtop, mildly hot rodded. I loved that car, dad got it to nice and got scared to drive it, it was sold. 56 was my favorite year. Have fun with your build, you have a gem there.
Anyone else think the car just looked tuff the moment they started towing it onto the trailer? The moment it moved….. WOW! Super classic look.
The '56 had the best grill of the three. One of these days we'll have to race to see if you can beat me. We can do a road course this time instead of a hit to pass.

great snag on the HT. When you go looking for a roof donor, the roof from a tri-five 2dr HT Pontiac will also work. The chevs & pontiacs were the same from the beltline up. Congrats and have fun!
PS: If you do find a donor Pontiac or Chev roof, I hope it doesn't come from a saveable car! The Pontiacs are just as cool as the Chevs!
There's still good stuff left on the donor car like the frame back panels and other parts like that firewall people are looking for

WHEN I SET OUT TO BY MY FIRST CAR THE SUMMER OF 62 I WANTED 55 CHEVY THEN THEY WERE AROUND $500.00 ON THE LOTS WITH WHAT I HAD II SETTLED FOR A 56 PONTIAC FOR $150.00 THAT NEEDED WORK !....////

Very cool , that old boy had some good old dodge trucks there as well , how much of a hassle is it to bring back to Canada? I have never done that before.
Reasonably easy , the first time is a process , however after that it’s pretty straightforward,
My wife handles all that and she’s good at expediting things as she never sits still 🤣

OH Buddy, please get that (I think it is) '66 Mustang from the ex. To see any Mustang sitting there, rusting away, is a shame. Wish I had the cash. I made it 30 years ago for myself ! If I had a $1 for ever car it’s carried , and the ones I don’t even know it’s carried cause it’s been loaned out so much !
