To be fair, that's a challenge which is more about patience (bordering on masochism) than skill. The Megaman damageless runs are probably the better example of them being better at games than they admit.
@@EmeralBookwise if you want a true challenge in patience beat Pokémon x and y without using moves. Grinding by catching Via pokeballs and wasting turns with items and switching. Lots of super training for items. You can even beat the first rival fight since you can buy pokeballs and potions before choosing mons. Still isn’t hard but x and y never was an actual challenge to begin with even on a nuzlocke.

Favorite VG Myths was by far pokemon without getting hit
The sheer shock and joy i felt when i saw you even posted a pokemon related video (as im a massive pokemon fan) was immeasurable, but then I saw the challenge and I already knew you'd probably succeeded. I can't really say why, I just felt in my soul that the fact the video even existed was proof enough you had done it. The video itself was a masterpiece, I loved every moment and the entire thing holds a place in my heart, seeing your talk about it at the end of this only cements that fact.
As for favorite non-VG Myths, I gotta say the Knack dumb fun gaming video. I will always remember "Whoops".
Been watching you for years and will keep on watching til there's no more to see. I get such a thrill out of seeing your content and it makes me want to do challenge runs of my own. You really are an amazing person, even if you are bad at video games!

VG myths is undoubtedly my favorite video series of all time, and to me every video is a masterpiece and i can say that with confidence because i’ve watched them all multiple times :’) Whenever i’m having a bad night or i can’t sleep or i’m just generally feeling anxious, all i gotta do is put on the octo expansion shotless run or the BotW pauseless run and i immediately feel so much better. Like seriously, this series is just a treasure trove of comfort videos and it’s amazing. Basically what i’m trying to say is you are my favorite person of all time and thank you for creating my favorite videos, and keep up the fantastic work because i promise you it makes millions of people smile just to see you upload. I was originally going to say "SuperStar Saga", but Cackletta's soul literally doesn't give you a choice but to be at 1 health point.
I think you could also do it with Paper Mario TTYD if you want, I don't remember if you're forced to run into any attacks you can't superguard in the main story (the only one I know about is Bonetail's bite but you obviously don't have to fight Bonetail)

(formerly known as AlphaStar) was a video game development company founded in 2000 by Tetsuo Mizuno in Tokyo, Japan." It also released in Japan in February of 2009, where as us Americans got the game in September that same year. I bring that up because if it was Superstar, like I originally planned, then one could argue that it isn't a Japanese game because it was released here in the states a few days before the Japanese release. But the fact a Japanese Developer working with a Japanese Company made this, I'd suspect that this game is infact Japanese.
Very excited to see "can you beat Pokemon without loading the game?" coming in season 4.

Hey Gamechamp. I noticed you were fighting Galeem spiritless in the end there, which prompted me to check your twitch and let’s strem channel. Spiritless and skill tree-less, huh? That’s quite the challenge. I actually have attempted that challenge myself, though I never recorded it. I... somewhat regret not recording it now. I started the challenge over a year and a half ago, and have made it all the way to the final battle. I am currently trying to clean up what spirits I’ve missed to try and go for 100%. I loved this challenge, and I felt like I was going to be the first one to complete something that insanely difficult... I’ll admit, I feel a little down that I likely won’t be the first one to do it, and even if I was, I wouldn’t be able to prove it. Nonetheless, I wish you the greatest luck in the final battles. Take heart, and don’t give up. For even if things seem entirely unfair, you can always rely on pure dumb luck :)

I spent a bit longer thinking about this, and I've decided to do something stupid. I'm going to replay the spiritless no skill tree challenge from the very beginning, this time recording everything. Even if I'm not the first one to complete the run, it's just as you said when talking about the pokemon no damage run: Nobody can say they did it, unless they actually do it. I'm going to do it, and I'm going to provide proof!
One last thing. I may not be the best at saying it, but your channel is the #1 reason why I got into challenge runs in the first place. I saw the odyssey no jump challenge and immediately was hooked. I've been doing challenge runs ever since the odyssey no jump video came out, some being runs you've done, some being my own. I've thoroughly enjoyed every challenge run I've done, even when they get infuriating. Thank you for introducing me to challenge runs, as well as producing quality content all this time. I hope to someday complete a challenge run nobody has done before, and will continue fighting towards that goal until I do.
My favourite run ever is still the Pokèmon Blue one. Your dedication was AMAZING, and I already knew and loved Pikasprey, so the single moment I saw him, that was it. This was gonna be my video of the year (yes, I mean 2020 even if it was out before c: ). And it still stands.
However, the Sly run introduced me to the channel, as an avid fan of the series, and made me one super fan of your contents.
At the point that yay, I'm called at the end of the video! :3
So yeah, safe to say you're my favourite content creator ever and I'm still gonna wait everyday for the little bell to signal me that the next video is up.

Gosh I absolutely remember seeing the "Can you beat mario odyssey without jumping" video like a dozen times in my recommended thinking it was gonna be some weird semanticy video. But when I finally watched it turned out to be an amazing video that got me to subscribe after I realized you did the climbless video of BoTW. Now I frequently go back and queue up my favorite episodes on nights I need a little something to make me smile. Cheers to Gamechamp, one of my favorite youtubers and I can't wait for all your future videos.
Honestly, seeing what you consider your ‘lower end’ of quality. I still think was pretty good, so I think that’s pretty cool. Edit: also I have to agree, I loved the novelty of how many Bullets does it take to beat GUN.

it really is a HARSH rest of endurance. fighting early RNG for the start of the run and hoping all routing is successful is one thing but doing it in a single sitting makes it even worse
I'd been taking a sabbatical from Pokemon after Omega Ruby because I'd been feeling burnt out. I'd gotten Yellow from the eShop and it was just sitting on my system. I'd been seeing all ways people played with the exploits and felt like I couldn't keep up anymore. I felt like I was doing something wrong. I felt like it wasn't for me anymore. Then I saw your no-hit run. I was in awe. "Why are you doing this? Why are you putting yourself through this? Isn't this stressful? You're going to drive yourself insane!" That's when something clicked. "They know. They know that it's something that'll drive them insane. _They know that one slip-up will force them to restart, and they're doing it anyway._ They're still pressing on." It gave me a realization. If you can play a game in a completely different way that'll give you nightmares, why am I worried to play with no pressure?
I'd been worried about comparing myself to others and how they played the game. But seeing you play in a way that nobody else would, made me realize that it's not about comparing myself to anyone else, it's about playing the game and having fun.
I've picked up Yellow again, and I'm going play it _my way,_ not worrying about comparing my experience with anyone else's. Maybe I'll get to Crystal and the Alola games. Only time can tell. All I know is that I'll continue to see what you're up to.
By the way, yes. You _are_ good at video games.

The Pokemon run has some of the BEST commentary, it just had SO MUCH hype, some great jokes, and their stories about dream damage are absolute GOLD. It deserves its place on this list.

I am very proud of having my name be the "I'm gamechamp and I say I'm bad at video games but that is obviously a lie because I do some of the hardest gaming challenges" and due to the sheer coincidence of it being next to someone whose name was "I love you Gamechamp" I got a laugh for it.
But in all seriousness, never stop doing these. While I have never been able to do any challenges of my own. Since hearing about these videos a few years back. I cannot stop thinking about challenge runs for every game I play

When I was really sad two years ago, I sat on my couch trying not to cry and decided to watch the stream footage of you trying to get out of the first area in BotW. It didn't take long for me to forget the sadness! I had watched a few episodes of VG Myths beforehand and I thought the stream footage would be as funny and entertaining. I was not disappointed!

The "Gun" episode was freaking hilarious, and same for the TLOU episode. The Nolan North jokes were amazing.
You can be proud of yourself champ, this channel is a testimony to how much dedication and fun and effort someone can put into a single concept. And yes, even your Yu-Gi-Oh videos. Every single one of them is a gem for different reasons and I (and I'm sure many people following this channel) are all here for it.

the community has been very good about making her comfortable and not misgendering her. Anyone who makes a mistake doing it normally is new to the channel or just doesn't know since there is no actual video or info confirming it (as far as I am aware unless they said it in one singular video I haven't watched) I myself didn't know until I looked through comments and saw that info

I just wanted to say you are amazing and that I personally don’t think you should feel bad about those few times you didn’t go the “extra mile” on a challenge because you are an INSPIRING woman who can easily lead others to doing the unthinkable. Like you said yourself at the end of the Dead Rising run, you figured it could be possible and you were right, but your video still laid the groundwork for other people to try! Same things happened with Jak and Daxter and Mario Oddesy and others! You are amazing and I hope you are doing well. When you said that Pokémon clip always made you at the edge of tears, well, let me tell you I missed that stream and so I just saw that clip for the first time and I was BAWLING with happiness for you! Your channel really is my favorite one on RUclips, I rewatch videos a lot, I think my highest view counts are on sonic 3 and knuckles along with Pokémon, but every one of your videos is great.
And of course an obligatory challenge request, how about Megaman Legends without upgrades? Or even buster only? Probably less stressful than classic 2d Rockman but still plenty interesting. @@Gamechamp3000 also I thought I’d mention that I actually first found your channel from the “every change made to 4kids yugioh” series, followed very closely by hyrule myths after the 2 (if I remember properly) episodes of that at the time were watched lol. Hope we see more of that series but I TOTALLY understand how watching the same episode of a series in two different languages dozens of times and just taking notes can be incredibly tedious. What I’m saying is that all of your content is gold, not just VG myths.

A while ago I came across a video about some crazy person trying to kill Ganon with a chicken. After being thoroughly entertained by the antics of General Clucks, I noticed that this crazy person was streaming their attempt to escape the shrine of resurrection using only barrels and boxes. I watched you try and fail and try again for over an hour before finally subscribing. It’s hard to believe it’s been almost 4 years since then. It’s been so cool to see your channel grow and change over the years, but you never stopped being one of the most unique and entertaining creators on RUclips. Congratulations. I just wanted you to know that your videos helped me be happy at a low point in my life in 8th grade. Every time I felt like giving up, I’d watch the pauseless run. I’d watch the minimum shots run. I’d watch the Pokémon damageless run. Because i thought to myself, if this guy could achieve what no one else thought would be possible, maybe I could achieve my dreams to. So thank you vg myths. Believe it or not the biggest mission that you completed, was making me smile.
I’ve been watching since episode zero, the music video section has me in tears every time. I’ve actually wanted to do a lot of these, especially the pauseless Breath of the Wild challenge, but I want to admit that your run of no-hit Rockman 2 actually helped me get through the game casually. I’ve also tried to stop by the streams whenever possible, and I’m really looking forward to the Smash Bros. Ultimate vg myth in the making.

The Pokemon damageless run is the VERY STAPLE of this channel, and NOTHING in the entire UNIVERSE can convince me otherwise.
When I watched this video, I realized something. VG Myths aren’t myths or games. They are legendary examples of what humans will do to achieve anything, no matter how stupid they may seem, no matter how much trouble they put us through, even if we destroy our mental being for the sake of proving something, no matter how small. The impact lasts so strongly that we can’t let go.
