Gotta say I worked on a low budget flick with Michael and despite the miserable conditions and script he gave it his all in every scene. His face lit up in a way never captured on film when he pulled out pictures of his boys. I bought his poetry book and it kinda blew me away….

You ever heard of "six degrees of Kevin Bacon?"
Someone once figured out a way to determine how connected one actor is to any other. It turns out that Michael Madsen is the 18th-most connected actor in the IMDB.
In case you're wondering, the late Christopher Lee is #1, with Michael Caine the highest ranked living actor at #2. Bacon himself? #577.

He's great at playing the heavy, he will pop up in films and he always seems to be a welcome edition though he's not a great actor, known for the one trick pony or stereotyped to play a certain role, turn in a certain look and give a similar performance!.. But I thought everyone knew this and was in on this, including him!?. He's not leading man material but he seems to add or bring something to the table in most films he's in, and without him they wouldn't be the same, Kill Bill Vol 2, Reservoir Dogs, Hateful Eight, The Getaway, Thelma and Louise etc, alot of great films, he will always get a call out of a 'yay' from me each time he appears, he may not be a top actor but he's certainly a welcoming presence!.
